DELIBERATE SIN

1 JOHN 3:9

"Those who have been born into God's family do not make a practice of sinning, because God's life is in them. They can not keep on sinning because they are children of God."

We are all sinners. We are born with a sinful nature. We are all dead in our sin and need a Savior, to forgive us and wash us clean of our old nature. When we are baptized we go into a watery grave that washes away our sin and we rise up a new person, filled with the Holy Spirit. God's nature will abide in us as we are part of God's family.

Were you a sinner before you believed in Jesus Christ? Are you a new person now that you have become a part of God's family. Do you still sin? How can that be if you are a child of God? We can tell who the children of God are just as we can tell who the children of the devil are. The difference will be that though we still sin, we no longer commit DELIBERATE SIN.

No one born of God deliberately, habitually, or knowingly practices the same sin. A child of God can not keep on repeating the same sin, for God's nature abides in him. The true believer has the Principal's of God's life permanently within their heart. That is why it is possible to tell who a child of the Father and who is a child of the devil. God's children do not go on committing the same sin deliberately, knowingly and habitually. If you were an adulterer before being saved and you then continue deliberately, knowingly and habitually to commit adultery as a habit, you are not a child of God. The same applies to drunkenness, drug use, or criminal activity. If you disrespect God by committing the same sins as before, you have never known God. You have never been saved. You know in your heart what you must do. Come to Jesus and ask for forgiveness of your sins and be baptized in the Holy Spirit. Stop doing DELIBERATE SIN!
