WHO MADE THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH?

ISAIAH 66: 2

"My hands have made both Heaven and earth; They and everything in them are mine. I the Lord have spoken!"

Little children, and many intellectuals have asked this same question; WHO MADE THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH? We have all wondered at one time where the earth came from. Since the beginning of time, this basic question has had many different answers, by many different people. How did we get here? How did the stars and the planets get in place? There have been many different answers, but, only one is correct. The One Truth Today gives us the correct answer to the question WHO MADE THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH? God spoke to us and said; "My hands have made both heaven and earth. They and everything in them are mine. I the Lord have spoken." It is not ambiguous or open to question or interpretation. God and not men or any collection of men, made the heavens and the earth. The only power that is sufficient to accomplish this task is the Power of God. You can accept or reject it but that does not change the simple truth!

God said, "Heaven is my throne and the earth is my footstool". What kind of a house could man build for the all might God? What arrogance it takes for any man to think that they can be God or duplicate what God has done. Non believer's have many theories and explanations about the creation, all designed to exclude God. Therefore, they are always wrong. If man can prove there is no God then they think they can do whatever they want without consequences. Good luck on that Humanism which is doomed before it begins. If may be the most prevalent religion in the world today, but it is still just as wrong. Do you really think that there is a man who can be God? All there theories will go to Hell with them!

The correct answer to the question is found in the first verse of the Bible. "The Lord spoke, and the world came into being". It was by the hand of God that universe including the earth came into being. This same reliable information is found throughout the scriptures, in both the Old and the New Testament. It is not up to you to confirm the truth of this statement, it is absolute and will never change, whether you believe it or not! Truth is not subject to change. It takes more faith to believe the absurd ideas and theories of men than God. The Big Bang is just another Big Bust. Non believers' will keep trying to disprove a God they reject and they will still be absurd and wrong. WHO MADE THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH? GOD!

THEY CAN NOT KEEP ON SINNING!

1 JOHN 3: 9

"Those who have been born into God's family do not make a practice of sinning,

because God's life is in them. THEY CAN NOT KEEP ON SINNING, because they are the children of God!"

If you are committing the same habitual sins that you committed before you came to know the Lord, pay attention to the One Truth Today! We are all sinners. We are born with a sinful nature. We are all dead in our sins. We need a Savior to Save us from our sins. We need to be "born again" and washed of all of our sins. We need to be Baptized in the water and the Spirit so that we become a new person with a new heart. When we become a new creature in Jesus Christ, we are now part of the Heavenly Family of God. His nature will now be in you and you will not be able to make a practice of sinning. If saved, THEY CAN NOT KEEP ON SINNING!

As a result of your becoming a new person in the Lord, the Holy Spirit will not allow you to make it a practice to keep on sinning. Because you are a child of God you could not keep on doing the same things that you did as a natural man. You will still sin, but it will not be habitual and it will never become a practice. If you are committing the same sins as you did before you came to the Lord, and if they remain a habit in your life, then you need to take a look at your heart. The Lord and others can tell if your heart belongs to Jesus Christ. You can not serve the devil and the Lord at the same time. You can not worship Jesus Christ and have another master that you answer to. If you are committing deliberate sin than you can not truly belong to the Lord Jesus Christ. You are fooling yourself, and you are being fooled by the devil but you can never fool God! Those who have been born into God's family, THEY CAN NOT KEEP ON SINNING!

All believer's have the principals and the laws of God written on their hearts. The know, love and obey the Lord! They are grateful for the gift of eternal life and they want to walk in the path that the Lord has for them. You can tell them by their fruit. They do not go on committing deliberate and repeated sins. If you continue in your adultery or drunkenness then you have not been saved by God. If you continually and habitually continue in your sins then you are disrespecting the God who Saved you. In fact it is possible that you never even knew Him at all. Either you became a new creature in Christ Jesus or you did not! Those who have been born again can not keep on sinning, because they are children of God. THEY CAN NOT KEEP ON SINNING!

THE LORD IS BEING PATIENT FOR YOUR SAKE!

2 PETER 3: 9

"The Lord is not really being slow about His promise of returning, as some people think. No, THE LORD IS BEING PATIENT FOR YOUR SAKE! God does not want anyone to be destroyed, He wants everyone to Repent."

The Lord promised that He would come back to the earth for His Redeemed, at the Second Coming! Today would be a good day for that event! True believer's would rather be in Heaven with Jesus Christ the Lord God, then remain here on our imperfect earth. Would you rather be in perfection for eternity or in corruption here on earth; where you will wither and die? True believer's do not fear death, for it has no sting and there is no victory for the enemy. To be absent from our body is to be present with the Lord. Eternal Grace is our ultimate goal and should be the desire of our hearts. The human problem is that we have a desire for all those we love to come to know the Lord and Repent of their sins so that they too can be Saved. We do not want to be separated from those we care about and see them destroyed. THE LORD IS BEING PATIENT FOR YOUR SAKE!

The Lord does not want to see anyone destroyed, because He loves us all. It is the Lord's desire that all will come to repentance and open their hearts to allow Him to dwell with them. That is the reason that He tarries or delays His return. God is not being slow as some think, and He will return as He said. He is delaying His return for those of you who have not made the choice to believe in Him. He has chosen you, have you chosen Him? When you compare eternal separation and damnation, with the perfection and bliss of heaven, there is only one rational decision. If you have rejected God, THE LORD IS BEING PATIENT FOR YOUR SAKE!

Remember also that a day is like a thousand years to the Lord and a thousand years is like a day to God. His time is not our time. Our lives are short, here today and gone tomorrow. We need to understand that the Lord is not being slow, He is showing His love for you! The Lord's timing will be perfect, and no man will know the day or the hour. He will come unexpectedly like a thief in the night. This time it will be in power and finality. God does not want a single person to perish or suffer eternal damnation. Non believer's need to fear the second death that comes when you have not been "born again". In a way, it is selfish of us to cry out for the Lord's return, because we know of our final destination. We need to appreciate His Mercy and Love and Long Suffering for unbeliever's. THE LORD IS BEING PATIENT FOR YOUR SAKE!

THEY SPOKE FROM GOD!

2 PETER 1: 20-21

"Above all, you must realize that no prophecy in scripture ever came from the prophet's own understanding, or from human initiative. No, these prophets were moved by the Holy Spirit and THEY SPOKE FROM GOD!"

Human beings are subject to failure, mistakes and all kinds of errors. All the prophets were human beings with the same limitations. Yet we know that the Word of God is infallible. How can that be? The One Truth Today has the answer for all mankind. The prophets were moved by the Holy Spirit and THEY SPOKE FROM GOD! The writings of the prophets and their scriptures did not come from their minds, but it was inspired by God. It was not with their limited human understanding or initiative that they helped create the infallible Bible. God was the Author and they were the scribes. We must realize that no scripture ever came from the prophet's own mind, instead we must understand that it was a product of the Holy Spirit and THEY SPOKE FROM GOD!

No prophecy ever originated from man. Man can not will anything to happen, unless it is in the Will of God. Human impulse and activity is limited by time and space. God has no limits. That is why we are comforted knowing that the Word of God, our Bible and manual of how to live, is a product of the Holy Spirit and of God. Men wrote the words down but the messages and content belonged to the Lord. That is why there are no mistakes or errors in the Word of God!

God does not make mistakes and He never says, oops! Humans can misinterpret or make a mistake in a translation of scripture because they are fallible, but the Word of God in its original form is infallible. The prophecies of God are never wrong, because the prophet's SPOKE FROM GOD!

Where do you stand on the Word of God, the Holy Bible? Do you think that it is the product of a few men and therefore subject to error? Do you think only certain parts of the Holy Word are trustworthy and that others can be ignored? Like Woody Allen stated, do you only believe in 7 out of the 10 commandments? Do you just accept the red letter portions of the Word as the truth? The One Truth Today wants you to realize and assimilate the truth. The scriptures and the Words of the Prophet's are reliable and trustworthy because God is trustworthy and in fact the Bible is not from men but from God. The truth is the prophet's, THEY SPOKE FROM GOD!

EQUAL PARTNERS!

1 PETER 3: 7

"Husband, you must give honor to your wives. Treat you wife with understanding as you live together. She may be weaker than you, but she is an EQUAL PARTNER

in God's gift of new life. Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered."

Do you believe that men and women are equal? God does not discriminate between men and women. God respects both and in fact tells us in our One Truth Today that your wife is an EQUAL PARTNER in God's gift of new life. It is noted in this scripture that men have more physical strength then women and they are referred to as the "weaker vessel", but the Lord sees husbands and wives, men and women as EQUAL PARTNERS in His gift of new and eternal life! Husbands are to be the head of their household and their authority must be respected, but

they must treat their wives with equal honor and understanding, because she is an EQUAL PARTNER in God's sight. If you do not want your prayers to be hindered you had better Listen!

Jesus Christ the Lord God has the same respect for both men and women and both are equal in His Kingdom. When it comes to the free gift of eternal life, we are all equal partners with God!

There is no distinction between sexes in Heaven. Men need to understand God's heart and how He sees us as individual spirits with equal value and the same spirit! While here on earth all married men should live considerately with their wives and give them honor. Their should be a joint recognition and an intelligent attitude about your marriage relationship. You are Joint heirs of the Kingdom of God. You are EQUAL PARTNERS!

As a man, if you abuse your authority as the head of the house, your prayers and your life will be hindered and you will suffer. Your prayers can be cut off and never reach the Lord if you do not honor your wife. Strive to be of one mind, aligned with God and His Word! Respect one another as God respects you. Live the plan for your life that is outlined in His Word. Never dishonor or disrespect your wife. How have you been doing men? Do you see your wife as an EQUAL PARTNER?

BORN AGAIN, LAST FOREVER!

1 PETER 1: 23

"For you have been BORN AGAIN, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will LAST FOREVER, because it comes from the eternal living Word of God!"

The Word tells us that our body and our beauty is like a flower in the field, it fades and then it dies! The Word of the Lord lasts forever and forever. When you are born into this world you have a limited time and your passing is inevitable. Like a puff of smoke or a cloud, you are here today and gone tomorrow. The ratio of human births to deaths is one to one, without exception! The One Truth Today tells us that to be born of God, BORN AGAIN, is to a life that will never end. Your new life will LAST FOREVER, because it is of God. If it was not for the Mercy of God we and our sinful bodies would suffer eternal death. Because of the Salvation of God you will have a new life and a new eternal body that will reside with the Lord Forever. If you are BORN AGAIN you LAST FOREVER!

To all those that think that this life is all that there is, the answer of the Lord is a resounding NO! Your challenge and your test here on earth is to come to Know, Fear, and Love Jesus

Christ the Lord God. If you open the door to your heart and invite the Lord in to dwell with you He will give you a new and eternal life. If you believe on His name you will be BORN AGAIN and you will LAST FOREVER! You will have a new spiritual life that will never end. You will be in heaven with the Lord and you will avoid eternal separation and the second death!

This second birth or being BORN AGAIN, is not one of the flesh but one of the spirit. When Nicodemus asked Jesus if being born again meant to go back into his mother's womb a second time, the answer was NO. Being born again is a spiritual birth, by the water and the Spirit!

You will no longer be flesh and subject to death and disease. Your new spiritual being will last forever. Imagine being present with the Lord in perfection forever! Once mortal you are now immortal. God has proclaimed it in His Word and He keeps His Promises. You must be BORN AGAIN to LAST FOREVER! Pray that the Lord will Save you today!

PRAY FOR EACH OTHER!

JAMES 5: 17

"Confess your sins to each other and PRAY FOR EACH OTHER, so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results."

What is the first thing you should do when you have a problem? What if the problem involves someone you love or care about? Every time you have a need, you should have a prayer, asking for the Lord's help! Remember the essence of the First Commandment of God. Always keep the first thing first, seek the Lord and PRAY FOR EACH OTHER! Our One Truth Today tells us to confess our sins to each other and then PRAY FOR EACH OTHER! The promise is that so you may be healed. We are told that the earnest prayers of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. Do not be tempted to seek that kind of power from fallible sources or substitutes for God's wisdom. Bring any problem, sickness or concern to the Lord!

Implied in this scripture is the fact that before you can make a righteous prayer for another you must confess your sins to God. By confessing your sins to other like minded righteous persons you are being accountable and faithful to the Word of the Lord. By joining them in prayer you can be powerful and achieve wonderful results through your earnest prayers. Where two or three of you are gathered, there is the Lord in your midst, listening to your prayers and requests. The Lord will hear your prayers and you can influence the will of God. There is great power in prayer and the Lord wants us to know that we should PRAY FOR EACH OTHER!

No man is an island unto himself. By joining with other believer's and righteous brothers and sisters we can see a dynamic and synergistic power that increases the prayers made to the Lord! We must never neglect the gathering together of the brethren, for purposes just such as those indicated here. Hear the Word of the Lord. Put the Word of the Lord into action in your life and be a doer of the Word not just a hearer. God honors those who honor His Word.
