ARE YOU DEAD OR ALIVE?

COLOSSIANS 2: 13

"You were DEAD because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you ALIVE with Christ, for He forgave all of your sins!"

There is a popular movie called, "Dead Man Walking". The theme of the movie is that although sometimes men are alive and walking they are going to die and they just do not know it! Their death is imminent and inevitable because of the poison they have all ready consumed. They may be oblivious to the fact but their demise is going to occur in just a matter of time. The One Truth Today explains that we are all spiritually dead because of our sins and we can only escape certain death and be made alive again, by Jesus Christ. We can be born again and avoid the second death by accepting the free gift of eternal life when we believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. We are all dead because of our sinful nature, but when Christ forgives us of all of our sins we are made ALIVE and not DEAD! ARE YOU ALIVE OR DEAD?

You may be alive physically, in this world at this moment, but you may be spiritually dead and that may lead to eternal separation from God and your not being born again to new and eternal life. You are in essence, a "dead man walking". One thing will happen to all of us, we will all die and then the judgement. You have a body of flesh that will die, but you also have a spiritual component that will live forever. The question is where will it exist. Where will you spend eternity, in Heaven or in Hell? If you have not been forgiven of your sins and given your life to Jesus Christ then you will not live an eternal life with Him. You will remain dead in your sin and you will be subject to eternal damnation. ARE YOU DEAD OR ALIVE?

The "Good News" is that we have a Saviour who will give us new and eternal life, and save us from the second death. Christ will forgive you of all of your sins and change your nature. He will make you alive and not allow you to die. The choice is always yours. You can accept the free gift of eternal life or you can reject the Lord and be condemned by yourself to damnation.

The only way you can change your carnal and sinful nature is to ask Jesus Christ into your life!

You can make that choice that leads to life or leads to death. You can be alive as a new creature in Christ Jesus, or you can remain a "Dead Man Walking". ARE YOU DEAD OR ALIVE?

HOW JOYFUL ARE THOSE WHO FEAR THE LORD!

PSALM 128: 1

'HOW JOYFUL ARE THOSE WHO FEAR THE LORD. All who follow His ways!"

To those who do not know the Lord, this sounds like a contradiction in terms. Where is the Joy in Fear? The One Truth Today is that without the Fear of God there is no wisdom and there will never be any true or lasting Joy in your life. Are you experiencing Joy in your life? Is your occupation a joy to perform? Is your marriage filled with Joy? Does your relationship with your children bring you Joy? If not then maybe this scripture is what you need to understand! The reason that many people do not experience joy in their lives is that they do not fear the Lord God and therefore they have not even the beginning of wisdom. If you are not "following His ways", then you are on a path that leads away from God, and besides not finding joy, you will lose your life. This is a promise of God; HOW JOYFUL ARE THOSE THAT FEAR THE LORD. ALL WHO FOLLOW HIS WAYS!

All true believer's know that if you want to be blessed by God and experience the peace and joy that passes understanding, you must have a personal relationship and a reverential fear of God! Once you know, fear and love God you have the beginning and the continuation of wisdom! The path to a happy, joyful, blessed and eternal life is to make sure that Jesus Christ the Lord God is first in your life and everything that you do. Worship Him only! The proof that you are following in His Ways will be reflected in your life. The fruit of His spirit is peace and joy and love flowing in your life. If you want that Joy, then Fear, know and respect God!

Although we do not usually associate fear with joy, this type of fear is one of respect and reverential fear. It is the acknowledgement of where we came from and why we are here on this earth, at this time. We know that God is the only one that can save us from our sins and give us eternal life. We are beholding to God for our Salvation. Without His mercy and forgiveness we could never be saved! To reject this is to reject God and this disrespect and lack of fear of the Power of God will cause your separation forever. Every single person must make his or her own choice, and then live or die with the consequences of that choice. If you follow the ways of the Lord and have a reverential fear of Him, how joyful you will be. Joyful fear is in fact a gift of Jesus Christ the Lord God to those who love and know Him!

I THINK, THEREFORE I AM!

PHILIPPIANS 4: 8

"Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise."

Have you ever wondered where the "Power of Positive Thinking", had its origin? The One Truth Today has the answer. If understood, this scripture can change your life. Your mind can only hold one thought at a time. You are in complete control of that one thought. You keep out what you want and you allow into your mind what you want. Because you control your thoughts you also control your mind. These statements are true and reliable and that is why you are responsible for what you think, say and believe! As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. I THINK, THEREFORE I AM! There is a saying in the computer world, garbage in, garbage out. What do you feed into your computer like mind? This Word has the right answer!

Many people allow false, dishonorable, wrong and impure thoughts to dominate their lives. They tend to seek the ugly, debased and impure side of life on a regular basis and then wonder why they end up the same way. What they do is not excellent and it is not worthy of praise. In short they dwell on the negative side of life in their mind, heart and actions. They think impure thoughts and their life is representative of what they think. I THINK, THEREFORE I AM! Do you know someone like that? Do you want to be like them or with them? They can tell you what is wrong with everything and everyone. They just do not know how to make things right!

Fix your thoughts on the truth, not lies. Remain true to yourself and the Lord and do not be false. Keep your honor and do the right, pure and admirable things in your thoughts and in your deeds. Surround yourself with what is lovely, and excellent and worthy of praise. Avoid the negative and ugly side of man's nature. Stay away from perversion and pornography and the ugly side of life. Spend your time with friends that are virtuous and reverential and that share the Lord's Word and His values. Keep your mind fixed on the things of God and His Word! The equation is quite a simple one in the end. I THINK, THEREFORE, I AM!

YOU CLAIM YOU HAVE NOT SINNED!

JEREMIAH 2: 35

"You say, I have done nothing wrong. Surely God is not angry with me. God says, now I will punish you severely because, YOU CLAIM YOU HAVE NOT SINNED!"

Do you remember when the crowd was about to stone the adulterous woman? Do you remember what Jesus Christ said to the crowd? "Let Him who is without sin cast the first stone!" The crowd left one by one, until there was no one to condemn the woman or cast a stone! No one in the crowd was without sin and they were wise enough not to claim they had not sinned! They may have believed they were "good people", but they were still sinners. Do you think that you have done nothing wrong, or do you claim that you do not sin? You had better read and digest the One Truth Today. God says that He will punish you severely if YOU CLAIM YOU HAVE NOT SINNED! We are all sinners and we have all come short of the Glory of God!

The Word tells us in Psalm 14 and 53 that, "no one is good, no not one". The Lord repeated in Matthew, Mark and Luke, that "no one is good but one, and that is God!" When we read that "all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God", that includes even you and me. The only way this would not apply to you personally is if you were God! In fact that is why it does not apply to Jesus Christ, the Lord God. He knew when they were calling Him "good", they were calling Him God! He did not deny it, and in fact confirmed it! Only Jesus Christ can claim that He had not sinned. The only way this can apply to us if is we are God. If you believe that you are equal to God, then you have a serious problem and you will be severely punished. If YOU CLAIM YOU HAVE NOT SINNED, you are claiming to be God and that is wrong!

Because we are all sinners, we all need a Saviour. You can not save yourself. If you claim you have not sinned you are fooling only yourself and the punishment will be severe. You could be separated from the Lord for eternity. We all need to Repent of our Sins and ask for the Forgiveness and Mercy of the Lord. Only God can save us from our arrogance and ignorance. The "Good News" is that Jesus Christ the Lord God can and will save you if you open the door to your heart and invite Him in to dwell with you. If you believe in the Lord Jesus and confess your sins you will be Saved. He took all of our sins on Himself at the Cross and He died for us. After you become a child of God, He will tell you to go and sin no more! What about you, do YOU CLAIM YOU HAVE NOT SINNED?

I SET YOU APART!

JEREMIAH 1: 5

"I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born

I SET YOU APART!

You are unique and different, one of a kind, set apart from all others! Have you ever wondered who really knows me? Do you ever feel isolated and apart from your family and friends as if you are a stranger? Who really understands what you think and believe, who knows you? Our One Truth Today tells us the answer. God knew you before you were formed in your mother's womb! Even before you were born God said; I SET YOU APART! Many people may come and go in your life but one thing will always be true, the God who made you was the first to know you and He will know you forever. You will not be able to count on anyone in your life to Save you and give you eternal life, but you will always be set apart by the Lord!

Jeremiah tells us that God knew us even before we became a physical entity in our mother's womb. He knew our soul and it was detectable before the moment of our conception. God has known us forever and He said; I SET YOU APART! Our spiritual component was known to God before our physical earthly flesh was conceived. God sees us all as unique, separate and set apart individuals. So much for the Pro-abortionists who insist we are just a blob of tissue, that can be removed and discarded without consequences. We have a spiritual and physical component and God knew us before we were in our mother's womb. God knows the truth and He will take notice of those who destroy the life He set apart. Abortion terminates a life, a spirit and a human being. What do you think God's reaction will be?

As with any sin, if you have been connected to an abortion in any way, REPENT, CONFESS YOUR SIN AND ASKS GOD'S FORGIVENESS RIGHT NOW! The Lord is faithful to forgive us if we confess our sins, He is merciful. God will forgive you and He will save you from your sin! Remember God set you apart from the beginning and He knows everything about you. You can not hide anything from God. You must know that the Lord knows all about us and it was for this very reason that He came to earth and died on the Cross to atone for all of our sins. That is the "Good News", that Jesus Saves and Jesus Forgive us of our sins, if we confess them. You make the choice to turn to God and open your heart to allow Him to come in and dwell with you! God knows you, do you know God?

ENTER THE NARROW DOOR!

LUKE 13: 23-24

"Someone asked Him, Lord, will only a few be saved? Jesus replied, work hard to ENTER THE NARROW DOOR to God"s Kingdom. Many will try to enter but will fail"

Some people believe that everyone will be saved and enter the kingdom of Heaven. The One Truth Today tells us the truth. Many will try to enter the kingdom of Heaven, but will fail! The Truth is that all who would like to enter heaven will have to ENTER THE NARROW DOOR! It is true that there are many who do not believe that there is a Heaven. How unfortunate for those who come to know the Truth at the time of their judgement, because it will be too late then. What do you believe? Is life here on earth all there is? Jesus said He was going before us to prepare a place for us in His eternal kingdom. He also said if it was not so, He would have told us. The real question for every individual is not whether there is or is not a Heaven. The real question is are you going to ENTER THE NARROW DOOR, and receive life?

How many will be saved, and how many will fail and perish? If you want to be saved from the second death and receive eternal life you will have to find and then ENTER THE NARROW DOOR. You will have to receive the Salvation of the Lord Jesus Christ. You will have to open the door to your heart and invite the Lord in to dwell with you. If you close the door to your heart to the Lord, the door to heaven will be closed to you. You will be on the outside and you will not be allowed to enter. It will be too late to accept, instead of rejecting, the free gift of life. Will you be saved. Jesus advised that you enter the narrow door to God's kingdom and He was well aware the many will try to enter, but they will fail!

Only evil entities want you to believe that everyone will enter the kingdom of Heaven. They would have you believe that no matter what you do or do not do you will be accepted. This is a lie. The Truth is that the door and way to Hell is wide and many there are that will find it and walk through it. You will have to find and ENTER THE NARROW DOOR, if you want to get to Heaven. Jesus Christ is that Door! There is no salvation without Jesus Christ the Lord God! He is the Way the Truth and the Light, and no one comes unto the Father except through Him!
