TRY ME, PUT ME TO THE TEST!

MALACHI 3: 10

"Bring all your tithes into the storehouse, so there will be enough food in the temple. If you do, says the Lord, I will open up the windows of heaven for you!

I will pour out a blessing so great you will not have enough room to take it in.

TRY ME, PUT ME TO THE TEST!

Do you like to be challenged? Do you have the courage to take the test suggested in our One Truth Today? God wants to issue a challenge to every believer. If you give God all your tithes, He will open the windows of heaven for you! TRY ME PUT ME TO THE TEST! The problem is that most people have difficulty giving ten percent of their income or increase to the Lord. It is human nature to want to hold on to what we earn and we can rationalize that the Lord does not need it anyway. Unless you are taught tithing from the earliest age, it can be a difficult concept to grasp. By giving away ten percent of what you earn or obtain it is difficult to see how this will lead to a blessing so great the windows of heaven will open up for you. Those who have done it know it! Those who have not, will never experience this Truth of God.

Like any challenge you have to follow the rules God sets forth. You have to do the right thing to get the right results. If you give God your tithes and offerings in the amount of ten percent, God will pour out a blessing on you that will be so great you will not have enough room to take it all in. If you have not brought your tithes to the temple or church as a gift to God then this One Truth Today will never be a reality in your life. If you are always having trouble with your finances, could this be the problem? If you do your part, God will do His part. This is not complex and is unambiguous. God always means what He says, and it is always the Truth!

TRY ME PUT ME TO THE TEST!

How many people do you really think test God or try Him at His Word about tithing? No tithing no poured out blessing. There are really only a very few that TRY GOD AND PUT HIM TO THE TEST! The ones that do find it is true, they keep giving God His tithe and He keeps opening the windows of Heaven and pouring out a blessing so great they do not have enough room to take it in. They become the conduit for God. We do not think of ourselves as robbers but when we fail to be a doer of the Word and tithe you are withholding from God. When we make choices, there are consequences. The more you give to God the more you will get. The more you withhold from God the less you will have. We can not just hear the Word of God we must do the Word of God. Confess that we are not perfect and we have failed to TRY ME PUT ME TO THE TEST! Make a conscious effort by praying that God will help you and inspire you to test Him, starting today!

I STAND AT THE DOOR!

REVELATION 3: 20

"Look, I STAND AT THE DOOR and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in and we will share a meal together."

This is directed to all non believer's. Did you know that Jesus Christ the Lord God is standing right out side the door to your heart, right now? Did you know that He is calling to you at this very moment? The One Truth Today is to call attention to this reality. Look, I STAND AT THE DOOR to your heart AND KNOCK says the Lord! Have you heard that still small voice calling to you? Do you have a heavy heart and an empty feeling telling you there is something missing in your life? You are right, there is a big thing missing in your life. When you hear the voice and when you hear the knock on the door to your heart, open the door, and the Lord will come in and dwell with you. You will become His friend and a part of the Lord's family!

Jesus Christ will become your friend and your Savior. He wants to be intimate with you and even share a meal together as your friend. He will never leave you or forsake you. He will give you the gift of eternal, and perfect life. This scripture is communicating to you the "good news" that Jesus can Save you. Jesus Christ has stood at the door to every believer's heart and called out to them. He has told them, I STAND AT THE DOOR, and when He knocked, they opened the door and invited Him in to dwell with them. Everyone hears the voice but not everyone will answer the knock on their door. Have you failed to open the door to your heart? You need to know that although the Lord stands at the door to your heart and knocks, He will not knock the door down. You have to invite Him in and open the door yourself. He will only enter as a welcome guest. Can you hear Him right now saying, I STAND AT THE DOOR?

The Lord is standing right outside the door to your heart right now. If you listen to His voice and heed His call you will find new and eternal life. If you answer the Lord's knock on the door to your heart He will come in and become an intimate part of your life, sharing meals and being with you forever. The Lord will become your Father and your best friend and your Savior. He will give you the bread of life and the water that will prevent you from ever being thirsty again!

It is your choice to answer his call and it is your choice to open the door to your heart and invite the Lord in. You can reject His call and His knock and continue on the path to eternal death and destruction. You can remain lost and bewildered and empty if you choose to do so.

Your choice your consequence. Jesus is saying, I STAND AT THE DOOR, open the door!

NO GREATER JOY!

3 JOHN 1:4

"I could have NO GREATER JOY than to hear that my children are following the Truth!"

Our One Truth Today assumes that you have given your heart to Jesus Christ the Lord God and that you are a true believer. We can further assume that you have been a faithful servant and worshiped the Lord with all your heart, mind, body and soul. The bible is not just the Word of God it is the manual for your daily life. You are not just a hearer of the Word but you are a doer of the Word. Now assuming that you have a family and have raised them according to the Words of the Lord, you will understand why you could have NO GREATER JOY! There can be nothing more important to you than seeing your children come to a Saving Grace by the acceptance of Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. If your children know, love and fear the Lord God you have been blessed beyond mere words!

I could have NO GREATER JOY than to know that my children are following the Truth of God!

Now let us assume that you have four children. Two have given their lives to Jesus Christ and are committed to obey the Word of God faithfully, until the end. The other two have rejected the Lord God and even have a hostile attitude toward the Lord and your beliefs. They do not believe there is a God. They want to know how a "good God" could allow bad things to happen.

They want to know why there is evil in the world, if it was made by a perfect God. How do you deal with this situation? Is there an answer that can lead them to the Truth? How would you feel if the Spirit of God moved upon them and they accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior? I could have NO GREATER JOY!

If the task was up to us alone it would be impossible. Fortunately the Holy Spirit and the Word of God are all powerful and have no limitations. The blood of Jesus Christ can overcome all evil and wash the sins clean of all sinners. All we are required to do is to pray fervently and continuously for their Salvation. Never stop asking, or seeking, for them to be Saved. The righteous prayers of true believers are are heard and answered by the Living God! Miracles do happen and the Lord can accomplish what we think is impossible. Give it up and give it to God!

Your children will come to realize that God is good and men are evil. God is not the author of evil or the bad things of this world, men are. God has a perfect plan and a perfect place for you to spend eternity with Him, if you only believe. They may come to understand the eternal perspective instead of this momentary time here on earth. Their choice, their consequence but our prayer is for the intercession of the Holy Spirit. Their Salvation means NO GREATER JOY!

PROVE BY THE WAY YOU LIVE!

MATTHEW 3: 8

"PROVE BY THE WAY YOU LIVE that you have Repented of your sins and turned to God!"

Your actions speak louder than any words you may profess. You can say that you are a Christian and a follower of Jesus Christ the Lord God, but what does your life say? If we look at you today and examine and contrast your life prior to accepting the Lord, will there be a new you? Are you a different person now that you have become a child of God? You repented of your sins and asked for forgiveness, have you stopped habitually doing those sins? Who has control of your life right now, is it the Lord or is it your carnal nature? Have you turned from the straight path that leads to the Lord, or have you remained faithful and obedient. PROVE BY THE WAY THAT YOU LIVE that you have repented of your sins and turned to God!

Are you bringing forth fruit unto righteousness and repentance? Is your life consistent with what the Lord requires of you? Do you have a new heart and a new life? Can those that know you the best see the new you? A good tree brings forth good fruit, a bad tree brings forth bad fruit. How is you fruit? Do not presume that because your family are all believer's that that must include you. Each individual must make a choice and you will be responsible for your choice not your parents, loved ones or any one else. If you have accepted the free gift of eternal life and believed on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ you have been saved. Know the next and vital step that confirms your heart and mind. PROVE BY THE WAY THAT YOU LIVE, that you have repented of your sins and turned to God!

Today is the day of Salvation. If you have not opened the door of your heart and invited the Lord to come in and dwell with you, ask Him to do so right now. Now is the accepted time for you to believe on the name of Jesus Christ, the Lord God. This is the moment that you can Repent of your sins and have them all forgiven and forgotten. This is the day that you can turn around from a path that lead away from God and to death and Damnation. This is the day that you can walk the straight and narrow path that leads to life, righteousness and eternal life. If you want to prove that you have done the right thing, our One Truth Today lets you know how!

PROVE BY THE WAY THAT YOU LIVE THAT YOU HAVE REPENTED OF YOUR SINS AND TURNED TO GOD!

YOUR DUTY!

LUKE 9: 60

"Jesus told them, YOUR DUTY is to go and preach about the kingdom of God!"

Are you a good soldier in the army of God? Jesus has said to you, "Come and follow me". Have you done it? In our One Truth Today the Lord has even given you your marching orders! There is no question or ambiguity about what He expects you to do. YOUR DUTY is to go and preach about the Kingdom of God! If God has called you and given you the gift of eternal life, then you have an obligation to listen to your Lord and Master. He does not want you to first complete some task that you feel has precedence over your duty to God! Your first and foremost duty is to go and preach about the Kingdom of God!

Once you have begun your duty to God and His Kingdom, the Lord has a further admonition for you. "Anyone who has put his hand to the plow and then looks back, is not fit for the Kingdom of God". In other words, do not look back or behind you, instead keep your path straight for the Kingdom of God. If you join the army of God, there should be no desertion or disobedience. YOUR DUTY is to be always faithful and trustworthy and never stop preaching about the Kingdom of God. Never let the world or its cares and concerns deter you from your number one task. Preaching about the Kingdom of God is the most important thing that you do!

If you want to be a disciple of Jesus Christ the Lord God, then you must walk like him and always follow His path. You are to become more like Jesus every day. This is more important than family problems, your job, the economy or anything else. Publish His message every day and in every way that you can. Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel of the Lord. Keep the Lord first in everything that you say and do. Your very life belongs to God, act like it! If you want to know what the Lord expects from you it is simple, DO YOUR DUTY!

KNOW GOD?

TITUS 1: 16

"People claim they KNOW GOD, but they deny Him by the way they live!"

Do you KNOW GOD? Are you one of His children? Have you given your heart and life to Jesus Christ the Lord God? Are you an obedient and faithful follower who knows the Word of God?

Is your heart pure and uncorrupted? When others look at you and your life would they conclude that you KNOW GOD? Many people claim they know God. They profess to be acquainted with and close to the Lord. They say they have heard His Words and they follow them. There is one little problem, they deny Him by the way that they live!

The defiled and corrupt are really unbeliever's. Their minds and conscience are defiled and polluted. They renounce God by what they do in their lives. They are disobedient and detestable. They are incapable of being faithful and doing good works. Many of them claim to know and follow God. Then you look at their lives and you see how they truly live and it is not like an obedient child of God. You shall know them by their fruits! One thing is for sure, they do not KNOW GOD!

Can a person claim to KNOW GOD and continue in habitual sin? Can you live in adultery or a homosexual relationship and say you KNOW GOD? If you continue to be disobedient to the Word of God, if you are a hearer but not a doer, if you only accept some of the commandments, you do not KNOW GOD! Until you Repent of your sins and ask for the forgiveness of the Lord, and receive a new heart and a truly new life, you do not KNOW GOD! When you turn around from your path away from God and make a straight path to the Lord we can see that you have changed. The way that you live will answer the question, do you KNOW GOD? People claim that they know God, but they deny Him by the way that they live! Those that fear the Lord can not mock God!

HELP!

PSALM 86: 5-6-7

"Oh Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your HELP. Listen closely to my prayer, Oh Lord, hear my urgent cry. I will call to you whenever I am in trouble, and you will answer me."

When you are in deep trouble and afraid of what may happen, who do you call to? Do you need help today for some important aspect of your life? Do you need to be forgiven for something you have done or someone you have sinned against? If you need Mercy and Forgiveness and a new life there is only one you can call on. Oh Lord, HELP! Others may listen but no one else can give you the right answers. Only God is good and ready to forgive. He is full of unfailing Love for all who ask for His HELP! He will listen to your prayers and urgent cries when you call upon Him. If you are in trouble, He will answer you!

What a comfort it is to know that we have a Lord God who hears our prayers and answers them. When you are in distress and crying out you need someone who can be there and has the power to answer your prayers. He all ready knows about your sins and trespasses and He has all ready forgive you, if you are His child. He forgets forever your past and gives you a new heart and a new and eternal life in there place. That is why this scripture reminds us of the fact that the Lord is so Good. That is why He will answer you and help to answer your urgent cries for help.

What good does it do to ask for help if the person is incapable of helping you? If you are in trouble you need some one with the answer and the ability to help. That may be possible in this world on occasion, but it is never true if the consequences are eternal. No man or collection of men can help you to be Saved. You can not Save yourself. You need a God who is all powerful and can answer your prayers and requests no matter what they may be. The best part to remember is that only God can supply all of your needs and answer all of your requests. We need to thank Him at all times. Oh God, HELP!
