DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEART!

HEBREWS 4:7

"Today when you hear His voice, DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEARTS."

There is no question that in this day and age you will have the opportunity to hear God' voice. We are in fact inundated with television, books, churches and evangelistic people who are constantly telling everyone about God. You will not be able to use an excuse at the time of judgement that you never heard about Jesus Christ and His Salvation. You heard it many times and in many ways. The message has been clear, Jesus Christ Saves you from your sin and gives you eternal life with Him. The problem is most non believer's would like to believe that they are good people and that sin is an arbitrary concept. Not to God.

Non believer's have to harden their heart and purposely turn from God in order to avoid the Truth. The are ashamed of what they have done and they know that they have committed evil and immoral acts. They do not want to repent, in fact they prefer the darkness of their lives to the light of the Lord. If they admit to their sin then they must in fact acknowledge that they need a Saviour. They can not save themselves and no one else but Jesus Christ the Lord God can. They would have to bend their knee and confess with their tongue that Jesus is the Lord. Do not worry they will do it either by choice or by the judgement of God.

Today you will hear the voice of God whispering, talking or shouting to you to come home to Him and be saved. The question is will you listen? His voice is available in so many ways and is impossible to avoid. The question is will you listen? When you hear His voice and it will be today, will you listen? If you harden your heart you will by choice condemn yourself and your judgement will be perfectly just. You make the choice on what you listen to and hear and then act on. TODAY WHEN YOU HEAR HIS VOICE, DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEART!

ENTER HIS REST

HEBREWS 4:3

"For only we who believe can ENTER HIS REST. As for others God said, in my anger I took an oath: they will never enter my place of rest."

Have you ever pictured what heaven is like? God will lead us through green pastures alongside still waters. There will be no evil and no pain and no death. We look forward to tranquility and peace for eternity in God's kingdom. We will enter God's place of rest. There is only one caveat before one can expect to enter into that rest. Only those who believe in God and take Him at His word and have faith in the Lord will enter His rest. God has made a place for His children to spend eternity with Him and to rest in Him.

Those who have believed and trusted God and adhered to and relied on God will and do enter His rest. God has declared it and He never lies. This was His plan from the beginning of time and He has made it known. The problem is for those who do not believe in God. He took an oath and said, "they will never enter my rest". Non believers will never enter heaven and they will have no peace. The place he prepared for believer's will not be shared by those who refuse to accept Him. They will not enter His rest. In fact non believer's will be separated from God for eternity and that will be in total darkness, as there will be no light.

What a contrast of consequences in relationship to you and God. We each have a choice to accept or reject the Word of God and to accept or deny Him as Lord. There is no more important decision you will ever make. If you open the door to your heart and ask the Lord Jesus Christ to come in and live with you, He will give you rest and eternal life. If you choose to reject the Lord and refuse to accept Him and His word you will suffer His wrath. God swears it in His word and the it is entirely just because you make the choice and you suffer or obtain the consequence.
Which do you choose to do? ENTER HIS REST!

FLESH AND BLOOD

HEBREWS 2:14

"Because God's children are human beings-made of flesh and blood- the Son also became FLESH AND BLOOD. For only as a human being could He die, and only by dying could He break the power of the devil, who had the power of death.

If you have ever wondered if God loves us, this is the best example He could have ever shown. The omnipotent God who made everything in the universe, became FLESH AND BLOOD to save us! Why would the superior being ever even consider becoming like a human being with all of their frailties and eventual death? It is like a dog becoming a flea to have interaction with the flea. Would you give up your position as God to become a human being? I for one would think long and hard and consider all the consequences including dying, pain and separation from God.

But, because God's children are human beings made of flesh and blood, God sent His Son Jesus Christ in human flesh to save us. If you ever wonder why Jesus had to be flesh and blood and not just a spirit the answer is that only by dying in the flesh could He break the power of the devil and death! There was and is no other way that we could be saved and His perfect plan was put in motion to bring those who believe in Jesus Christ Salvation and eternal life with God.

The Lord set us free along with all of those who had lived before and after us, if we open our hearts and invite Him in. We were all slaves of dying and death before Jesus Christ. Now we are all able to become the children of God and spend eternity with Him because of the birth, life and death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Death were is thy sting, grave were is thy power? We just as Jesus Christ will rise from the dead and have a new spiritual life with Him. So even if we are here in our own flesh and blood for a while we will join in spirit with the Lord in the end.

OH GOD!

HEBREWS 1:8

"To the Son God says, Your throne, OH GOD endures forever and ever. You rule with a scepter of justice."

Have you ever wondered about the Trinity? The human mind has difficulty in grasping the three Gods united into one idea! When separated we can fathom a Father, and a Son Jesus Christ and we can also comprehend a Holy Spirit. Placing them together as one is the more difficult proposition. To the simple mind, how can three be one? That is were today's truth comes in, to explain what God is trying to tell our finite minds about an infinite God. Remember God's mind is above our mind and His ways are above our ways and to understand we need faith.

Listen to what God is telling us in this scripture. God is speaking to His Son Jesus Christ and He says, "your throne OH GOD endures forever and ever". In essence one part of God, called God, is speaking to another part of God, Jesus Christ and He clearly indicates that they are one by talking about the throne of God and His Scepter. We know God is speaking to the Son, because He says so. We know God addresses the Son as "OH GOD", and thus even though separate identities are indicated, they are both God.

Later in this chapter God also says to the Son, "In the beginning LORD you laid the foundation of the earth and made the heavens with your hands. The equation is simple, one to one. The Lord is the Son. God also says, "therefore O GOD, referring to the Son, that YOUR GOD HAS ANOINTED YOU. So even if it is difficult to comprehend the tripartite Trinity of God, He has made this and many other attempts to edify us. The main purpose of this scripture is to make certain that we can say without hesitation or trepidation, JESUS CHRIST IS THE LORD GOD!
O GOD, thank you for this truth for today!

HOW GOD SPEAKS

HEBREWS 1:1-2

"Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets. Now in these final days He has spoken to us through His Son!

We need to listen when God speaks to us. How does God speak to us? Remember that the heavens declare the glory of the Lord and speak to all generations and to all people. The say a lot about His omnipotence and omnipresence. God also speaks to us in His Word. He has provided over forty authors and prophets to tells us about Him in His old and new testament. We have a manual to use for our lives if we read and then obey His Words. God saved the best way to speak to us for the final days. Jesus Christ has spoken to us and shown us by example what God is really like!

In the last days after many revelations from separate writers which set forth a portion of the truth, God the author revealed Himself in His Son. He has spoken in the person of Jesus Christ. We now have the word of the Lord in flesh to instruct us. We can read about His life on earth during which as humans we heard and saw and felt the presence of the Living God. Jesus Christ is the Lord God and He made and produced the universe. He arranged and operated and placed in order the entire system that we know of as the earth and the firmament and the heavens. Most importantly He spoke and the apostles gave us a record of what He said.

We are fortunate that God speaks to us and cares about us. He loves us and wants us to know Him and His thoughts and Words. To him who has an ear, let him hear. To him who has an eye let him see. To him who is searching for truth, let him come. To him who is thirsty for knowledge and righteousness, let him come and drink. Listen to God as He whispers, talks and yes yells to us about His nature. God is not trying to be hidden from us. In fact God has spoken to our ancestors in many ways and now He has spoken to us through His Son Jesus Christ. That is HOW GOD SPEAKS, are you listening?

UNFAILING LOVE - CONTINUOUS FAITHFULNESS

PSALM 100: 5

"For the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and His faithfulness continues to each generation."

Forever is a long time. Someone who lives 100 years has lived a long time, but that pales in comparison to FOREVER. Can we even understand forever or eternity? God's mind as well as His timing are above our timing and we may not be able to completely understand the totality of this scripture, but the essence is simple to conclude. No matter how many generations come and go, the Lord's faithfulness will continue to them all. The Lord's love last and continues forever. That is why we know that the Lord is good, because He never fails and He never changes.

Our generation is assured of God's love and His faithfulness. What a blessing and assurance that should be to everyone who is born into this world. It does not matter when or where you are born into world the Goodness of the Lord will be there and be yours. His mercy and loving kindness are everlasting. His truth endures to every generation. We are all equal in the sight of God and we all have the same opportunity and choice to receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour. He is just and His justice is available to all who call on His name.

Imagine that since Adam and including all those who have been born into this world there is one thing that remains the same. God and His unfailing Love. Jesus Christ and His continuous faithfulness. Kingdoms and countries have come and gone, the nations have won and lost in many ways, but even though a lot has changed here on earth nothing has changed in God's kingdom. There is something comforting and encouraging to know that there is stability and safety in what never changes, no matter what. FOR THE LORD IS GOOD. HIS UNFAILING LOVE CONTINUES FOREVER, AND HIS FAITHFULNESS TO EACH GENERATION!
