I AM COMING SOON!

REVELATION 22: 7

"Look, I AM COMING SOON!  Blessed are those who obey the Words of Prophecy written in this book."

It is appropriate that on this day that celebrates the birth of our beloved country, that we stop and realize who we need to thank for all the blessings that we have received.  God was at the center of the creation of our democracy and was the most important and vital part.  Two centuries plus have gone by since our formation and much has happened.  The Lord has taken a lesser role in our every day life, government and education.  We have turned our back on God in many ways, and so it is not surprising that God is turning His back on us.  Many are crying out for the Lord's return to earth and our Salvation.  Have you ever wondered when the Lord will appear?  When will His Second Coming take place?  We have been praying "Maranatha", for quite a while.  Come quickly Lord Jesus is our daily prayer.  When will it be answered?

Some hope that Jesus Christ returns today, while others are hopeful there will be enough time for those that they love to be Saved.  It is two thousand years since the Lord walked on the earth and we beheld, touched and saw Him.  Yet the message of the One Truth Today is that we are to be looking for the Lord for He has said that He is coming soon.  We must obey the Words of this prophecy.  The Lord said he would come like a thief in the night when we knew it not.  He will come swiftly with lightning and power.  The thing we need to remember is that a thousand years are like a day to the Lord and everything is done in the Lord's timing and not ours.  God's ways are above our ways and His mind is above our mind.  Do not be dismayed, for the Lord will keep His promise and He tells us LOOK, I AM COMING SOON!

If you want to be blessed and happy, do the following.  Place in your heart the truths of the Lord's prophecies.  Believe in God and His predictions and warnings.  You can find true happiness in the pages of scripture, that is the Living Word of God.  You see whether He comes today or tomorrow, the task remains the same for all of us.  Keep your faith and belief in God and keep on waiting expectantly for the return of the Lord our King.  Keep on praying Maranatha , for Jesus Has said, I AM COMING SOON!  AMEN!

PUT ME TO THE TEST!

MALACHI 3:10

"Bring all your tithes into the storehouse, so there will be enough food in the temple.  If you do, says the Lord, I will open up the windows of heaven for you.  I will pour out a blessing so great you will not enough room to take it in.  Try me, PUT ME TO THE TEST!

Do  you like to be challenged?  Are you up to being tested by God?  Here is a direct opportunity to prove or disprove the Word of God.  If God is real and His Word is the Truth, then all you have to do to confirm His existence is to follow this One Truth Today.  Like any challenge you have to follow the rules as they are set forth.  You have to do the right thing to get the right results.  If you bring a tenth of your income or blessings into the temple and storehouse of God, as a gift or tithe, God will pour out a blessing so great that you will not have enough room to take it in.  You have to bring it all, and that means all the tithe, not part.  If you do your part God will do His part and open up the windows of Heaven for you!

Now here is the part that seems to elude the average believer.  God means that you have to give one tenth of your increase or blessing to His Temple.  No parsing of words here, If you make one dollar, you must bring ten cents to the Lord and His Church.  If you make a million dollars then you must bring one hundred thousand dollars to His Temple storehouse.  How many people do you think really test God and try Him at His Word.  No tithe, then no poured out blessing.  Tithe and you will open up the doors of heaven and have a blessing poured out on you that you will not have enough room to take it in.  You will have to continue giving the Lord His tithe.  God Say's. PUT ME TO THE TEST!

Are you a robber?  Have you robbed or defrauded God of His just tithe during your life?  By withholding your tithes and offerings from God you have made a choice that has consequences.  If you are poor and never seem to have enough from day to day, I wonder if you have heard the One Truth Today and listened and learned?  I confess that as a child and young adult I never heard or understood the message of the Lord.  The Holy Spirit entered my life and then I was able to understand and put into action His Word.  I made a conscious effort and have succeeded, although not perfectly.  I now know that there is a direct proportional relationship to the giving and then receiving relationship I have with the Lord.  I have noted that those individuals that give the most to God, receive the most.  The more a person blesses God, the more God blesses the person.  The more you give, the more that you get.  The more you bless others, the more you are blessed.  Jesus Christ told us it is more blessed to give than to receive and that is the Truth. If you do not believe it, God is saying, TRY ME, PUT ME TO THE TEST! 

KNOCK, KNOCK!

REVELATION 3: 20

"Look I stand at the door and KNOCK.  If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends."

Have you heard the voice of Jesus Christ the Lord God?  For those who have not heard the still small voice of God we offer an explanation for the One Truth Today.  Jesus Christ is standing at the door to every ones heart and is present all the time.  Jesus is talking to you right now and inviting you to open the door to your heart so that He can come in and dwell with you and become a part of your life.  Not only will Jesus come in to your heart and life and become intimate with you, He will become your Saviour and your best friend.  He will share His life with you forever and give you new and eternal life in heaven!  "Look I stand at the door and knock"!  "If you hear my voice and open the door to your heart, I will come in."  

The Lord Jesus Christ has communicated in many ways and through various devices and people the "Good News".  He has knocked at the door to every ones heart but not everyone hears Him or accepts the invitation.  Have you rejected the invitation?  Have you heard the voice of God? Did you reject or fail to respond.  The truth is that although the Lord stands at the door to your heart and knocks, He will not kick the door in, He will not knock it down.  You must choose to open the door to your own heart.  He must enter as a welcome guest.  The only act you need for Salvation is to open the door to your heart and invite the Lord to come in and dwell with you!

In today's language the Lord is saying, "I am standing right outside the door to you heart, right now, and if you hear my voice and heed my call,  I will come in and share the bread of life with you as your best friend.  Sound to easy to believe?  If you are hearing the still small voice at this moment, answer it.  Jesus Christ is knocking on the door to your heart right now, go and open the door!  If you do this He will save you from death, and give you new and eternal life.  To those that have an ear, listen.  Can you hear the KNOCK, KNOCK?

NO GREATER JOY!

3 JOHN 1:4

"I could have NO GREATER JOY than to hear that my children are following the Truth."

Our One Truth Today assumes that you have come to know and follow the Truth of Jesus Christ. Let  us further assume that you have lived faithfully and been sanctified by the Lord.  The Word of God is not just your Bible, but it is the manual for you daily life.  Now let us assume that you have had a family and you are raising your children.  There will be nothing more important to you than seeing your children come to a saving knowledge and acceptance of Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.  Your greatest joy will be hearing and knowing that your children have come to know, love and fear God.  Their understanding of the Truth of Jesus Christ is a blessing from God and the only thing more important will be your own Salvation!

Now let us assume that you have four children.  Two have given their lives to Jesus Christ and committed to live faithfully and obey the Word of God.  The other two have a hostile attitude to the idea that there is even a God at all.  These two children, who do not believe in God, want to know how a Good God could allow bad things to happen?  They want to know why there is evil in the world, if it was made by a perfect God.  How do you deal with this situation and what is the answer to their questions?  What would you give to have all your children understand and believe the Truth, the gospel of Jesus Christ?

Lets face it, if it were up to just us the task could be impossible.  Fortunately the Holy Spirit and the Word of God has power through the blood of Jesus Christ.  All we have to do is pray to the Lord fervently and continuously for their Salvation.  Never stop asking for or seeking their Salvation.  The prayers of a righteous believer are heard and answered by the Living and Loving God.  Miracles do happen and the Lord can do what we think impossible.  We have to give it up and over to Him.  Your unbelieving children will come to realize that what at first may be perceived as bad, such as a young death, is really a good thing, when you consider that to be absent from our body is to be present with the Lord.  They will have to achieve an eternal perspective to understand God.  Evil is in the world because man is given free will and choice and they choose to do bad and evil things.  God does not want puppets, but your acceptance of Him of your own free will.  His Saving Grace is a free gift to all people but requires the acceptance of the gift.  When your child comes to a knowledge of the Truth you will have NO GREATER JOY!  

ETERNAL LIFE!

1 JOHN 5: 11-12

"This is what God has testified:  He has given us  ETERNAL LIFE, and this life is in His Son.  Whoever has the Son has life;  whoever does not have God's Son does not have life."

The search for truth to set men free is set out clearly in our One Truth Today.  God has testified and the truth is given to anyone who will listen.  "Whoever has the Son has life;  whoever does not have the Son does not have life."  God has given eternal life to those who have Jesus Christ as there Lord and Saviour.  Have you heard the expression, "its a matter of life and death".  Most of the time this is probably not true.  There is one time that it is absolutely true.  Your choice to accept or reject God's Son will determine whether you receive ETERNAL LIFE, or eternal separation from God.  Those who believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God will receive the Holy Spirit and live eternally.  Those who do not will not have life!

Those who do not believe God or His Son are making them out to be liars.  They put no faith in their truth or testimony and have rejected the Father.  By not believing or accepting the Word of God, they have chosen to be separated for eternity from the Lord God.  The wages of sin and this rejection of God have condemned them to eternal damnation.  Choices have consequences and this rejection which they are responsible for will lead to a just end and determination. Whoever has God's Son has ETERNAL LIFE;  whoever does not have God's Son does not have life!

There is only one way to receive eternal life and spend eternity in Heaven with the Lord God. We must each accept Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Saviour.  By having the Son in our life we receive life, and avoid the second death.  Making no decision is the same thing as rejecting the Lord.  We must accept Jesus Christ into our hearts and lives.  Knowing this when you are asked, "why am I here and what is my purpose in life", you will have the correct answer and the truth.  Your purpose is to know, love and fear the Lord God, and then to worship Him with all your heart, mind, body and soul!  There is only one way and one truth and one door to eternal life and that is the Lord Jesus Christ.  Receive Him and you will receive ETERNAL LIFE!  

WE HAVE AN ADVOCATE!

1 JOHN 2: 1-2

"I am writing this so you will not sin.  If anyone does sin, WE HAVE AN ADVOCATE who pleads our case before the Father.  He is Jesus Christ, the one who is truly righteous."  

Have you ever wondered what it will be like at the day of your judgement?  What will the Great White Throne Room be like with all of its stature, pomp and circumstance?  The Father will be sitting in judgement and now it is time for your case.  You know that you have sinned and come short of the Glory of God.  You are guilty of many breaches of God's Laws and commandments. You deserve to be found guilty and punished for your many wrongs.  If we ever need help it will be at this time.  If you need an advocate to plead your case before the Father there is only one who is truly righteous and deserving to be heard and that is Jesus Christ your Lord and Saviour.

What is the court appointed an attorney for you that could not pay the price of your sins?  What if the attorney was just as guilty as yourself and the Father knew it?  Who could help us?Thank God WE HAVE AN ADVOCATE or saviour who will plead our case before the Father and be able and truly righteous enough to present and win our case.  Jesus has paid the price for our sins is the only one who can present and win the ear of the Judge and Lord.  Jesus has all ready suffered the hardship and pain and sympathizes with all mere mortal men who have been afflicted by this lifetime.  In our moment of trial He will give suitable direction and support and Jesus Christ will achieve a just outcome, full of Mercy, Grace and forgiveness!

Jesus, the only righteous one, has been the sacrifice for our sins and is the atonement.  Jesus died for all or us so that we could be forgiven and Saved from death.  To those who have come to know and believe in Jesus Christ there is Salvation.  So even though we have violated God's laws and have repeatedly sinned WE HAVE AN ADVOCATE that will intercede on our behalf and Save us from the second death.  Jesus is the only one who can bring mercy and justice to our souls.  Because Jesus conformed to God's will in every way, He is the only one who can present our case and prevail.  We need to thank God every day for the perfect plan of the Lord Jesus Christ.  WE HAVE AN ADVOCATE!
