2 CORINTHIANS 3:17
"For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is FREEDOM!"
To anyone who has been in prison or detained lawfully or unlawfully listen to this! To anyone who has been enslaved or indentured pay attention to this. To anyone who feels the weight of discrimination or bias or hatred, listen to this. If you are oppressed or downtrodden and you can not see the light of day, pay attention. You can be liberated right now. You can be emancipated right now. You can be released from your bondage right now. You can have FREEDOM, right now!
What do we need to have freedom right now? We need the Spirit of the Lord. We need to have opened the door to our heart and invited Jesus Christ to come in and dwell with us. The Lord will bring with Him the Holy Spirit which will also dwell within our heart. We worship the Lord in Spirit and in truth. If the Lord is in our heart and the Spirit is in our heart then the truth is that wherever the Spirit of the Lord is there is FREEDOM. So if you are John McCain in a prison camp for 5 and 1/2 years, you can still depend on God to give you His Spirit and His Freedom. If you were a slave in the early south in America, you could still have spiritual freedom.
All things spiritual are done in the heart and the mind. In fact freedom is a state of mind. We are never free from death or destruction in this life. We need the Spirit of God and His Salvation to give us eternal life, free from this world. Everyone born into this world is a slave to it and the only way to achieve freedom is to gravitate to wherever the Spirit of the Lord is. Invite the Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ to Save you and set you free. The you will be free at last, free at last, thank God All mighty we are free at last!

RICHES - HONOR - LONG LIFE
PROVERBS 22:4
"True humility and fear of the Lord lead to RICHES, HONOR AND LONG LIFE."
While you are here on earth what would you like to achieve? You may have heard the comment that "I have been rich and I have been poor, and rich is better". It seems elemental that while being a Pilgrim and passing through this life one would prefer to be rich and not poor. We all know that true riches are knowing and serving the Lord and that it is not a good goal to be ostentatious or gaudy. The rich have an opportunity to impact the poor with their generosity and gifts. The more that is given to us the more our obligation to give to others. We can all ask that the Lord bless us with His riches.
Do you receive honor from your family, friends and neighbors? Have you done enough in your life and at your chosen profession that your peers have honored you? Do others look to you for Godly advice and help in choosing their direction and goals? We do not want to be worshiped and we do not want to be asked to replace God and His Word for direction, but if we fear the Lord and have His humility we will be honored in our lives by others seeking our counsel.
We often wonder why some lives are so short and end so soon in our eyes. Even when we keep in mind that believer's are at home with the Lord and better off then ourselves, we still often ask for a long and Godly life. White hair is a sign of the blessing of the Lord for that long life. Long life gives us an opportunity to share with our family many blessings and memories. We have an opportunity as we grow older to offer Godly counsel and direction to our family and friends. We have a longer opportunity to bring many more people to a saving grace and knowledge of God. We have a chance to learn and live in humility as we recognize that everything comes from God.
If this sounds pretty good to you and you would like RICHES - HONOR - LONG LIFE- FEAR THE LORD AND HAVE TRUE HUMILITY!

THE CURSE OF SEPARATION
1 CORINTHIANS 16:22
"If anyone does not love the Lord, that person is cursed. Our Lord Come!"
People who do not know and love Jesus Christ have a curse upon them. The terrible thing is that they do not even know they are cursed and are totally unaware of the consequences. If they knew that they would be separated eternally in hell and suffer forever, do you think they would really fail to come to know, love and respect the Lord? They do not understand that their unbelief is really a blaspheme against God. They in essence are cursing at God. They are being profane and insolent and attaching evil to the very God that made them and can save them. Thus this scripture truthfully says that if you do not love the Lord you place yourself under a curse.
Our actions or inaction's and our choices can bring evil upon our self. We impose the curse voluntarily and are responsible for the consequences. So if anyone does not love the Lord and if you are not on a friendly basis, filled with affection for your Saviour, it is safe to say that you are not kindly disposed to Him and you will be separated from the Lord. This anathema shows a destitution of Love for Jesus and the result is to be doomed to final perdition. In short you are cursed to destruction and separation forever.
Our Lord come, or what many mean by the term "maranatha", is included here to indicate that when our Lord comes he will give real meaning to the curse that unbeliever's have imposed on themselves. Actions and inaction's have consequences and the result of rejecting or cursing God is imposed at the judgement and is final and severe. If you do not come to a saving grace and come to know and Love the Lord you are imposing a curse upon yourself. When the Lord comes you will harvest what you sewed. Maranatha!

SOME GOOD AVICE
1 CORINTHIANS 16:13-14
'Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong. Do everything with love."
You have been a Christian for a long time now and you are wondering what am I expected to do? Nothing will ever change your love for God and you know enough to always seek Him first in everything. You pray without ceasing and you know that everything you have belongs to God. You are assured of your salvation and in fact you can not wait for the Lord's return and your chance to join Him in Heaven. You have no hatred for anyone and in fact have learned that because you were forgiven you must forgive and extend love to all. You are a doer of the Word and not just a hearer! While we are waiting, now what?
We are to be alert and on guard, for remember the coming of the Lord is in a time we know not. We have to keep our spiritual tank filled. Always be looking up and remember where your redemption comes from. Our faith must remain firm and we must stand on that faith. You should have no question about God's relationship to man and your conviction about everything divine should be without question. Our trust should be built on a holy fervor born of faith. Remembering our first love when Jesus came into our hearts, we should renew the love often.
We should act and look like men of God with our strengh growing every day. We need to be courageous and strong in our commitment to God. Allow His power to influence our lives and know that He is the true power that we draw upon. Perhaps most important of all we need to let everything we do be done in love. God has inspired up with His love and that inspiration should translate into our treatment of others. Love one another. Let everything that you do be done with love. Now that is SOME GOOD ADVICE!

BAD COMPANY CORRUPTS GOOD CHARACTER
1 CORINTHIANS 15:33
"Bad company corrupts good character. Think carefully about what is right, and stop sinning. For to your shame I say that some of you do not know God at all."
Who do you hang out with? Who do you choose for a companion? Are you friends of a good moral character and do they have good manners? Birds of a feather, flock together. What would people say about the flock you surround yourself with? The truth for today is pretty simple and something anyone should grasp and understand. Do not be deceived or misled. If your companions and associates are are evil, corrupt or depraved they will have an effect on you. If they have no morals or even good manners they will influence you. You will be known and tainted by your company and friends. Their sin will rub off on you.
If those you associate with are sinning they will have an influence that could make you sin. Those that drink and become drunk will affect your life. Those who have no manners and curse and are depraved will seem to be normal after a while and without even wanting to or expecting to, you will emulate their behavior as if it was all right. If you are looking for a moral mate with good character and behavior, do not look for them in a bar. If you want someone with similar values to you then look where you are comfortable and secure, like your church.
Some of you do not even know God at all. Wake up from your stupor and come to your senses. Get a right mind, one that seeks God first and His righteousness. Stop sinning and repent to the Lord and ask forgiveness of your sins. He is faithful to forgive you. You know who you are, there is a little voice talking to you and telling you that what you are doing is wrong and those you surround yourself with are contributing to your sin. Your life is empty and there is no peace in your life, only continual sinning. You are headed to destruction and you know it. Cry out to the only one who can save you. You can not save yourself. Ask the Lord Jesus Christ to come into your heart and give you new life and one that is not corrupt and is of good character. Do it now!

WHAT WAS MOST IMPORTANT?
1 CORINTHIANS 15:3-4
"I passed on to you WHAT WAS MOST IMPORTANT and also what had been passed on to me. Christ died for our sins. He was buried. He was raised from the dead on the third day. Just as the scriptures said!"
What is the gospel? What are the glad tidings of salvation? What did you welcome and accept as a believer in Jesus Christ? After all this is how you were saved and what you must hold fast to and keep firmly. Your faith rests on these truths. WHAT WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT message for you to call yourself a Christian? What did you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart. What is called the gospel, the good news, the glad tidings.
First of all, the Christ, the Messiah, the anointed one of God died for our sins. Just as had been foretold in the scriptures, we had a Saviour, Jesus Christ. He took all of our sins on Himself and then He died on the cross for each of us. Jesus Christ body was buried in a sealed tomb for three days. Jesus Christ rose from the dead on the third day, just as He and the scriptures foretold. He was the first to conquer death. Jesus was seen by His apostles and over 500 believers.
So we are to see that death came into the world through one man, Adam. Now the Resurrection from the dead began with one man, Jesus Christ. If you belong to Adam, you are dead. If you belong to Jesus Christ you will be given a new life. Christ was the first to arise from the dead and and all of us who belong to Christ will be raised when He comes back. WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT message? That you come to a knowledge and saving grace of the gospel of Jesus Christ! It is a matter of eternal life or eternal death. Believe the Good News!
