FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS!

1 TIMOTHY 4: 13

"Until I get there, FOCUS on reading the Scriptures to the Church, encouraging

the believer's and teaching them!"

What is it that we should expect our Church to FOCUS on? The One Truth Today tells us that the Church should focus on reading the scriptures to its members, encouraging the believer's and teaching them about God and His Word. What does your church focus on? Do you go through the Word of God on a systematic and regular basis? If your church uses current events and topical teaching and only touches on scripture and the Word of God, it may be time to find another Church! The entire scripture is valuable and there is a great benefit if there is in depth, expository reading and teaching of the entire Bible, from Genesis to revelation! FOCUS!

This letter from Paul to Timothy reinforces the idea that Timothy needed to keep his FOCUS! Many will attempt to lead us away from the true faith and instead follow deceptive teachings and spirits. In the end times they will take the focus from the Word to the world. They will only put emphasis on the portions of the Word of God they agree with, and they will neglect or deny the entire Word, if it conflicts with their agenda. What we can eat, who we can marry, or whether or not there is a Heaven or Hell are plainly evident to those who know the entire Word of God! We need to FOCUS on the way we live and the way we are taught if we are to be encouraged and faithful to the Lord.

Physical training is good for the body and helps us to build ourselves up. Training ourselves for Godliness is much better, promising benefits for this life and the life to come. Focusing on the Word and reading the scriptures is more beneficial then working out a body that is fading away. We need to go to Church and FOCUS on all the scriptures so that we can be taught and then encouraged. Every believer should read the entire Bible through each year and keep you FOCUS on the Lord!

GIVE ME THE RIGHT WORDS!

EPHESIANS 6: 19

"Pray for me. Ask God to GIVE ME THE RIGHT WORDS so I can boldly explain God's mysterious plan, that the good news is for all people."

How often have you wanted to share the "Good News" with others, but hesitated because you were not sure what to say? Have you ever been intimidated by the situation or the person and became afraid to speak? If you do speak, are you afraid you might not do a good enough job or have the words that will move those you address? Are you unsure of all the mysterious plans of the Lord and find it difficult to boldly explain the "Good News"? Then listen to this One Truth Today and ask other believer's to pray for you. Ask God to GIVE ME THE RIGHT WORDS, so that I can boldly explain the mysterious plan of God! Take the pressure off yourself and go to the Lord in prayer this very minute!

Just as the prophets and disciples were inspired by God in what they said and wrote, you too can be inspired by God and His Word. Let us understand right now that God will give us the right words at the right time. The Lord speaks through His people. The Holy Spirit gives us Grace and Mercy and the ability to be a spokesperson for the Lord. Remember how Moses did not think he was articulate enough to be God's spokesperson? God empowered and prepared him to be the right person at the right time. Remember that Jeremiah thought he was too young to speak for the Lord? God prepared and empowered him and he was the right person at the right time. This can apply to you, ask the Lord to GIVE ME THE RIGHT WORDS!

It will help to remember that the Lord does the heavy lifting and carries the heavy burdens, not you. When you are yoked up with the Lord, no task or no burden is to hard. He moves the mountains, not you. Do not be afraid for the Lord will never leave you or forsake you and He is right there beside you at all times. God protects His children. Your job is to listen and learn of His Word and His Laws. Then be bold enough to pray for the Lord to give you the right words at the right time. You can proclaim the "Good News", to all people until the Lord returns!

A REWARD FOR THOSE WHO LIVE FOR GOD!

PSALM 58: 11

"There truly is A REWARD FOR THOSE WHO LIVE FOR GOD; surely there is a

God who judges justly here on earth."

If we do the right thing, we should be rewarded. If we do the wrong thing, there will always be consequences. Each one of us if responsible for our own actions and deeds. Each of our actions will have a consequence. There truly is a REWARD FOR THOSE WHO LIVE FOR GOD! There will be definable results if you believe in God, including your Salvation and eternal life. Surely God judges us justly here on earth! If you reject God and set yourself up as the god of the universe, you will reap predictable results. That is the perfect justice of God. Your choice becomes your consequence.

The reward for those who live for God is not suffering the second death. They have been born again into the Kingdom of Heaven and they will receive eternal life in perfection. We are all subject to die once and then the judgement. Those who have been born of the Spirit and are children of God will live forever and will be forgiven of all their sins and have obtained the Mercy of God. Conversely, those who have rejected God and have not been born again will suffer eternal separation from God and eternal damnation. This is the result of their choice to disrespect and reject the God of the Universe. They receive the Justice of God as a result of their own choice and their own consequence.

When people argue that God is not Just and that all people should be Saved, they have failed to grasp the One Truth Today. A Good God does not allow bad things to happen. Bad choices by people allow bad things to happen to them and others. Your actions lead to reactions and your choices lead to inevitable consequences. You are personally responsible for your own actions, one at a time. There is a God here on earth, and in Heaven, and He judges justly. There truly is A REWARD FOR THOSE WHO LIVE FOR GOD! You have a free will and you will reap the reward of your own sowing. Heaven is God's reward to those who live for Him. If you have not been born again you will never enter the Kingdom of God. If you accept God, and live for Him, you will obtain God's Reward!

BEAUTY THAT COMES FROM WITHIN!

1 PETER 3: 3-4

"Do not be concerned with outward beauty, fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. Cloth yourself instead with the BEAUTY THAT COMES FROM WITHIN, the unfading beauty of a gentle spirit, which is precious to God."

In this culture and at this time in our world this is a difficult concept for most women, even those that love and belong to God! If you were prevented from dying or styling your hair how would you feel? If your clothes were plain and drab and not flattering how would you react. If you never got any fancy jewelry or personal accessories would that upset you? Stop and listen to the One Truth Today. The lesson from the Lord is that you should cloth yourself with the beauty of God that comes from within and not without. This type of beauty, like life, does not fade and end, but instead it is precious to God when you have a gentle and quiet Spirit! If you rebel and question God perhaps you need to reassess your walk with the Lord.

Our bodies, like this world, are growing older and fading away. If you do whatever it takes to fight the inevitable you may be forced to make some bad choices. In order to maintain the outward beauty many have dangerous and painful surgeries or toxic injections. Whatever happened to the beauty and dignity of those with grey hair who have wisdom and a BEAUTY THAT COMES FROM WITHIN? Do you spend as much time and energy with the Lord, and His Word, as you do with the scramble to fight time? There is a beauty that is not subject to time, it is inside of each of us. This beauty is not corruptible and lasts forever! It is your gentle and quiet spirit.

If you know this and appreciate this you will attend to your husband and your family. You will do the Lord's will and not your own. Set an example for your family. In particular for your daughters. Dress modestly and do not be concerned with fancy hair styles and expensive and questionable clothing and make up. Be concerned about your inner beauty. Are you a gentle woman? Are you a quiet and modest women? Is your Spirit growing and more noticeable to everyone. Are you looking forward to Heaven or are you too attached to this life and this world? If you want to please the Lord, see the BEAUTY THAT COMES FROM WITHIN!

ETERNAL LIFE!

1 JOHN 5: 11-12

"This is what God has testified: He has given us ETERNAL LIFE , and this life is in His Son. Whoever has the Son has life, whoever does not have God's Son, does not have life."

The search for the "truth that sets men free" is stated clearly in our One Truth Today. God has testified to the truth, to anyone who will listen. Whoever has the Son has life, whoever does not have God's Son does not have life! If you want to have ETERNAL LIFE then you must have the Son, Jesus Christ, in your life. If Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior then you have ETERNAL LIFE. This gives new meaning to the expression, "it is a matter of life and death". It may not be true in many cases, but in this case it is crucial. This is know as an absolute, you will have chosen to accept God's Son, Jesus Christ and that is what will determine whether you will have ETERNAL LIFE, or eternal death and damnation.

Those who reject God and do not believe this One Truth Today are making God the Father out to be a liar. They never have accepted or believed the Son of God, Jesus Christ. Their choice is their consequence and their rejection of God will separate them from Him for eternity. The wages of sin is death. Rejection and disrespect of God leads to your damnation and eternal death. Whoever has the Son has life, whoever does not have the Son does not have ETERNAL LIFE!

There is only one way to receive eternal life and spend eternity in heaven. You must accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. You must believe on His Name. You must open the door to your heart and invite Him in to dwell with you. Making no decision is the same thing as rejecting the Lord and the result will also be the same, eternal separation and damnation. If you ever ask the question, why am I here and what is my purpose, there will only be one correct answer. You are to learn to Know, Love, Fear and Worship the Lord God. You are to do this will all of your heart, mind, body and soul. There is only one way, one path, one door to eternal life and Jesus Christ is all of these things. Have the Son in your life and you in effect have ETERNAL LIFE!

WE HAVE AN ADVOCATE!

1 JOHN 2: 1-2

"I am writing this so you will not sin. If anyone does sin, WE HAVE AN ADVOCATE who pleads our case before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who is truly righteous."

Have you ever wondered what it will be like at the day of your judgement? You will be in the Great White Throne Room, about to receive your judgement before the Father. It is time for your case to be heard and you know very well that you have sinned and come short of the Glory of God! You know you are guilty of so many breaches of God's laws and commandments, and you deserve to be condemned. You are awaiting your punishment and your case seems hopeless! If you ever needed help, it will be right now. WE NEED AN ADVOCATE that can plead our case before the Father. Praise God that Jesus Christ, who is truly righteous, will plead our case and be our advocate, He is the only one who can Save Us!

What if the court appointed an attorney for you that could not pay the price for your sins and was not worthy or righteous? What if the attorney was just as guilty and the Father knew it? You would be helpless and hopeless if not for Jesus Christ. WE HAVE AN ADVOCATE and a Savior who will plead our case before the Father and because He is Truly Righteous He can win. He has paid the price for all or our sins. Jesus Christ is the only advocate that the Father will listen to and extend Mercy to us. Jesus has all ready suffered pain and hardship that can wash away all of our sins by the shedding of His Blood. The outcome of Mercy, Grace and Forgiveness is only possible to those who know, love and believe in Jesus Christ the Lord God!

Jesus Christ is the only one who is truly righteous. He has become the sacrifice for all of our sins. He is the atonement that makes it possible for us to be forgiven and saved from death. Jesus Christ is our Salvation. If you believe on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, you will be Saved and it will be at this moment. Even though we deserve to be punished, because we have broken God's Laws, WE HAVE AN ADVOCATE that will Save us. He will intercede on our behalf and the Father will find us not guilty and extend to us Mercy and Forgiveness. No one else could present our case and achieve this result, because no one else conformed to God's will and remained sinless. We need to thank the Lord every day for the perfect plan to Save us!

OUR FATHER LOVES US!

1 JOHN 3: 1

"See how very much OUR FATHER LOVES US, for He calls us His children, and that we are. The people who belong to the world do not recognize that we are God's children, because they do not know Him!"

Do you know who your real father is? Some people never know there earthly father, others have lost them. With DNA evidence available, we can be certain who our father is, if tested. In the past there have been many questions about who the real father is. Then there is the question of the father who rejects his child and will not acknowledge or love them. Praise the Lord if you have had a loving and nurturing father who has been there for you. Praise the Lord if you are not an orphan. If you are an orphan, or if your earthly father has rejected or abused you, then take heart in the One Truth Today. When you accepted Jesus Christ, the Lord God as your personal Savior, He also became your Heavenly Father. Your Father Loves you very much and He knows every detail of your life and existence. He will never leave you or forsake you!

Your heavenly Father knows your name and He even knew you before you were in your mother's womb. He knows you individually, just as He can name every star in the heavens. To prove how much He loved you, He gave His only begotten Son to die for your sins so that you could be Saved! The people who belong to the world have rejected God and do not recognize that we are God's children, because they do not know Him! Non believer's do not know who their real Father is! As believer's we know how much our Heavenly Father Loves us in that He has give us eternal life in perfection with Him as a reward for our belief and Love. You are a Son or Daughter of your Heavenly Father!

Their is no question about your parentage if you are a child of God. You can always give the right answer to the question; who's your daddy? The right answer is; God is my Father and I am His child. You have recognized what others in the world have not, you are one of God's children. They are not, because they do not know God! See how much our Father in Heaven Love us, He provided a plan for our eternal Salvation and escape from death. Your Heavenly Father is interested and knows every little detail about your life and He is right there with you all the time. He will never leave you, never forsake you, never abuse you, never turn His back on you, His child! OUR FATHER LOVES US!
