THERE IS ONE GOD!

EPHESIANS 4: 5-6

"THERE IS ONE GOD, one faith, one baptism, and one Lord and Father, who is over all and in all and living through all."

The history of man includes multiple beliefs and varying gods.  The sun, moon, stars and planets have been considered god.  Many believe in mother earth or father universe.  The Greeks and Romans had multiple gods for every occasion.  In India today there are a myriad of gods including monkeys and cows.  Men have worshiped wooden statues and stones, cut or uncut, as gods.  Mountains, bodies of water and other earthly locations have been worshiped.  It must be confusing to some to try and determine, who is god and who is not god.  It is not actually confusing at all, because all the above worshiped gods have one thing in common.  They were all made by Jesus Christ the Lord God.  Our God is the only eternal God who has no beginning and has no end.  Animals, humans and even planetary bodies have and end.  The One Truth Today is that THERE IS ONE GOD, one faith, one baptism, and one Lord and Father, who is over all and in all and living through all!

Many still rebel at the thought that there is only one God.  They do it because they do not believe it and they do not want to bow down, confess to and worship the one true God. Believers have no trouble believing in God because they have faith in the Lord and His Word and His Prophets.  It is so obvious that all the other gods are fakes and have such limitations. If any of the other supposed gods were real they would be eternal and could make something out of nothing.  Something only God can do.  All the rest are fake gods and none of them can save you!

There is only one God and there is only way to eternal life!  When you come to a saving grace and knowledge of God you will have the faith that can give you eternal life.  It is not true that all ways lead to God.  That is the lie of the devil.  Yes you will surely die if you reject God and His Word.   Surely you can see how ridiculous it is to make a monkey or any other animal a god!  Surely you can see that no human being could ever be a god!   That eliminates Buddha, Mohamed, and Confucius among others.  That eliminates humanism, agnosticism, and atheism, all conceived by man.  So what is left at the end of your discovery?  THERE IS ONE GOD, one faith, one baptism, and one Lord and Father who is over all and in all and living through all! 

MORE THAN WE MIGHT ASK OR THINK!

EPHESIANS 3: 20

"Now all the glory to God, who is able,  through His mighty power that is at work within us, to accomplish infinitely MORE THAN WE MIGHT ASK OR THINK!"

Have you ever wondered how God can take someone who is not the sharpest knife in the drawer and accomplish miraculous things?  The Lord uses the foolish things of this world to confound the supposedly wise!  In fact God can take an ordinary individual and through His mighty power at work in them He can accomplish infinitely more than we would ever think or believe!  If the Holy Spirit resides in you, then you can become an instrument of the Lord to accomplish His purposes.  No matter what you do or accomplish, who would the Glory belong to?  Still the Lord is able to do exceedingly, abundantly  more through us than we would ever ask or think!  How does that make you feel?  What are your limitations if you are a child of God?

We as believer's need to recognize that it is God and His power that can work within us to accomplish His purposes.  If we will just yield ourselves to the Lord and have faith in Him we can do more than we would ever ask or believe.  God can accomplish supernatural things if we would just dare to ask Him and allow Him to work through us and in us.  Think of the greatest prayer, dream or hope that you have, nothing is too big for Jesus Christ the Lord God.  If we will just believe and have faith in the Lord and be willing to give Him all the glory, His mighty power can accomplish infinitely MORE THAN WE MIGHT ASK OR THINK!

Do you want to start and build the largest most powerful church in the country?  Do you want to write a book or study that will edify believer's?  Do you want to teach classes in God's Word that draw many students to your program.  Do you want to evangelize and bring thousands to a knowledge and belief in the Lord?  Do you want to start a ministry to feed, cloth and house the homeless?  Do you want to build orphanages around the world?  Do you want to bring everyone into one body that Knows, Loves and Fears God?  If you are willing to know and believe that all the Glory will belong to God and that you are His instrument, then go ahead and ask and pray for anything.  Remember it is God that will do MORE THAN WE MIGHT ASK OR THINK!

 

THOSE WHO REFUSE TO OBEY GOD!

EPHESIANS 2: 2

'You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil - the commander of powers in the unseen world.  The devil is the spirit at work in the hearts of  THOSE WHO REFUSE TO OBEY GOD!"

Are you one of THOSE WHO REFUSE TO OBEY GOD?  Are you living in sin and pleased about it?  Many people follow a different spirit then the one God offers.  Many in the world obey the devil and they have his spirit is at work in their hearts.  Remember the song by Bobby Dylan, you may serve the devil, or you may serve the Lord, but you have to serve somebody!  We are all serving somebody.  Believer's used to live in sin like the rest of the world and they did obey the devil and gave in to his power.  In fact the devil is at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God right now!  They are deceived by the devil and believe his lie that they will not die! Once again each life comes down to a choice that we each make.  Either you are for God and believe in Him, or you are against God and serving the devil.  Your choice, your consequence!

At one time all of us who now Know, Love and Fear God walked in habitual sin.  We were caught up in the world, and took the path that seemed right to us.  We were caught up in the tendencies, fashions and mores of the world.  We allowed ourselves to be led by the deceitful one and we allowed the devil to work in our hearts.  We therefore became disobedient and rebellious to the Lord.  We purposely refused to obey God and His Commandments.  That is the definition of being lost in our sin!  We became dead men walking and the worst part is that we were unaware of our condition.  Thank God for our Salvation.  Praise Him for His Mercy!

God saved us by His Grace when we believed in our hearts that Jesus Christ is the Lord God.  When we opened our hearts and invited the Lord to come in and dwell with us, by faith,  we received His Salvation.  His Holy Spirit now resides in us and there is no more room for the devil.  Now we are serving God.  How can we tell if someone is not serving or obeying God?  It is not too difficult.  If someone continues to sin habitually and flagrantly they are not obeying God.  If someone continuously serves the purposes of the devil they are not obeying God.  If the fruit of their existence is bad and not good, they are not obeying God.  Is the devil is still at work in your heart, then you are one of THOSE WHO REFUSE TO OBEY GOD!  Pray for your salvation and come to a saving grace of Jesus Christ the Lord God!        

I WAIT QUIETLY BEFORE GOD!

PSALM 62: 1-2

"I WAIT QUIETLY BEFORE GOD,  for my victory comes from Him.  He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken."

I have a real spot in my heart for anyone who does not know and love God.  Essentially they are standing alone in life and there is no one to save them.  What happens to them when they are, "All Shook up"?  What happens when they are afraid and they have to face a disease or death? Any time they worry about anything does the ground under their feet feel unsafe and unsteady? Do they have a place to run into and hide and feel secure?  True believer's know the One Truth Today is the promise of the Lord to them personally.  Those who have faith and trust in the Lord feel differently than non believer"s.  They are more peaceful and less disturbed then others.  The have the Rock of Jesus Christ as the foundation of their life and they know that fortress can never be shaken!

How can you be victorious in life?  There is only one way.  You must find salvation and eternal life in Jesus Christ.  No one on earth can save you, and you could never save  yourself.  Without the grace and mercy of the Lord  you will never survive death and you will be denied eternal life.  When you know this truth you can wait on God in quiet and silence for He promises to Save you.  God is your defense, He is your Fortress, He is your strong tower that you can run into and be saved.  God can not be moved and He will not be shaken and you will be protected by the Lord Jesus Christ.  Unlike any human who has ever failed you, God will never fail you!

Because we know this scripture, we have peace.  It is a peace that passes the understanding of the worldly.  We know the "Good News", that Jesus Saves.  We have the assurance of the Holy Spirit in our hearts.  That is why we feel bad for those who are dead in their sins and why we want everyone that we love to know the One Truth Today.  We are praying that everyone will be spared from fear, worry, and even death.  That is why we can wait quietly before God.  We know that our victory comes from the Lord.  We know He is the only rock we can stand on that will not waver.  We know that He is our fortress, that we can run into and hide.  We know that He will never allow us to be shaken in the end.  I WAIT QUIETLY BEFORE  GOD!

FAITH AND LIFE!

GALATIANS 3:11-12

"It is through FAITH that a righteous person has LIFE! This way of faith is very different from the way of the law, which says it is through obeying the law that a person can have life."

Do you believe that you can go throughout your whole life without breaking a law? You will break man's law as well as God's law, and if you were counting on obtaining eternal life because you have been without sin, guess again. Remember, no one is good, no not one. The only exception to this was Jesus Christ. He was without sin and never broke any law. So every person who has lived has come short of the glory of God. That is why Jesus questioned those who called Him good, for He knew that meant that He was the Lord God. Do you think that you can be as good as the Lord? Do you think that you can have life by obeying the Law?

It should be absolutely clear that no human being can gain eternal life by being good. If we can not obtain eternal life by being good then how do we obtain Life and that eternal? The One Truth Today is that it is through FAITH, that a righteous person obtains LIFE. The only way to overcome the curse of sin is to be saved by the Lord Jesus Christ. He was perfect and died for our sins and He give us His Righteousness, if we have faith and believe in Him. That is the "Good News", that Jesus Saves. We can not save ourselves and no one else can save us but the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord is our Salvation. Our Faith in the Lord is what gives us Life!

If you want to be in right standing with the Lord and be considered just and righteous then you will have to live by faith. You will be declared righteous by your faith in Jesus Christ. The Lord will give you eternal life. The way this happens is that Jesus took our curse and our sin upon himself and give His life to give us eternal life. The Lord shed His blood for us, while we were still sinners. Have you opened the door to your heart and invited Jesus Christ to come in and fill you with His Holy Spirit? Do you believe in Jesus Christ? Do you have FAITH? Then and only then will you have life and that eternal!
