A PURE HEART, CLEAR CONSCIENCE AND GENUINE FAITH!

1 TIMOTHY 1: 5

"All believer's should be filled with love that comes from A PURE HEART, A CLEAR CONSCIENCE, AND GENUINE FAITH!"

The object and purpose of instruction from the Lord's Word is to teach us to LOVE one another. When we accept Jesus Christ and invite Him into our heart we become a new creation. Before we were a child of sin and imperfection.  Now we have a new, PURE HEART, filled with the Holy Spirit!  Now instead of a guilty conscience as a result of our sinful nature, we can have a CLEAR CONSCIENCE.  Now instead of a false system of morality and a lack of faith in anything or anybody, we can have a GENUINE FAITH in Jesus Christ the Lord God and His Word!  What is the result of all of this?  All true believer's will be filled with LOVE!

It is important, as believer's, to avoid anything that will not help us live a life of faith in God.

We should not listen to anyone teaching anything contrary to the Word of God and His Truth!

We should avoid endless discussions about myths and spiritual pedigree's.  Do not give any 

importance to endless genealogies, fables, or mere speculations about other doctrines.  Many have wandered into vain arguments and discussions and purposeless talk.  If you are not talking to someone filled with the love of God, then walk away!

The One Truth Today and the purpose of the Word of God is to instruct us about what God expects from His Believer's.  "All believers should be filled with love, that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience and a genuine faith".  The question is do you qualify?  We know that you are not without sin, but you are a new creation and a child of God and as such you should be known by your fruit.  Do you have a PURE HEART?  All of your sins have been forgiven by the Mercy of God.  Do you have a CLEAR CONSCIENCE?  You have been instilled with the Holy Spirit and you have been instructed in the Word of God, do you have a GENUINE FAITH?  The way God and all those that know you will be able to tell is if you are FILLED WITH LOVE! 

CAN ANYONE HIDE FROM GOD?

JEREMIAH 23: 24

"CAN ANYONE HIDE FROM GOD in a secret place?  Am I not everywhere in all the heavens and the earth, says the Lord."

Have you heard the expression that "you can run from yourself, but, there is no where to hide".  As a little child did you think that if you closed your eyes that everything would disappear?  Well it is time to ask the real question that has real consequences!  CAN ANYONE HIDE FROM GOD?  The One Truth Today has the answer!  No one can hide from God. There is no secret place that you can go to, and you can not just close your eyes.  God is everywhere, in all the earth and throughout the heavens!  You can run, but you can not hide!  God is Omnipresent, and that means that He is present at all times and in all places.  Are you trying to hide from God?   Have you tried to avoid learning the Truth about the Lord.  Are you refusing to acknowledge His existence?   Do you think that because you rejected God He has disappeared?

The Lord fills the heavens and the earth and is everywhere.  You can see His handiwork in all the universe.  He is evident in the sun, moon, and the stars.  The earth is His footstool.  Man may try and explain away all that is visible to the naked eye, but, their attempts are feeble at best and rebellious at worst.  Man has made attempts to explore the universe and they are feeble and ineffective.  Now imagine if man would try and bring the universe into existence.  Only an Omnipotent God could do such a thing.  If we cannot even leave our planet, where 

CAN ANYONE HIDE FROM GOD?  

In Second Thessalonians 1: 7-9  we read that the Lord Jesus appears from heaven.  He will bring judgement on those who do not know and have not accepted the Lord as their personal Saviour.  Those that have refused to hear and accept the "Good News", will be separated from God and will be punished with eternal damnation.  To be apart from God and His Glory is to be eternally in Hell.  If you hear that still small voice in your ear, telling you and warning you that this is the Truth, Listen, Hear, and learn today;  CAN ANYONE HIDE FROM GOD?  NO.

THE LORD'S RETURN WILL COME UNEXPECTEDLY!

THESSALONIANS 5: 2

"For you know quite well that the day of  THE LORD'S RETURN WILL COME UNEXPECTEDLY,  like a thief in the night."  

Just when you think everything is under control, something unexpected can happen!  When you feel safe and secure there may be an event that makes you worried about your future.  Do you believe that you are living in a time of safety and peace today?  Then the time may be right for the Lord's return to the earth.  THE LORD'S RETURN WILL COME UNEXPECTEDLY, like a thief in the night.  Believer's are prepared and they know quite well that it could come at any moment, day or night.  Unbeliever's may think that this is an unlikely time or season for the end of the world, they may believe this is the wrong time.  We know that the Lord will return in a moment, the twinkling of an eye, suddenly.  When they least expect it the unbeliever will find death and destruction and separation from God!

If you are counting on there being enough time to bend your knee and confess your sins to God, you may be in for a shock.  If  you wait too long you will not escape your inevitable fate.  Up until the moment of the Lord's return, each individual had a choice to accept or reject Jesus Christ the Lord God.  Everyone is personally responsible for their individual choice.  You will be saved or condemned by your choice to believe the Lord or reject His Saving Grace.  God has not condemned anyone, they condemn themselves by their own action or inaction.  You made the decision and you made the choice and you can not blame God for the consequences!

THE LORD'S RETURN WILL COME UNEXPECTEDLY, and suddenly.  When it happens there will be no time for you to make a choice.  There will be no escape from the wrath of a God you never accepted and never believed in.  You had the choice of Salvation and you made your choice!  We all know this because we believe the Word of God and the One Truth Today.  If you do not know this, then today could be the day of your Salvation.  Ask God to save you now!  Do not let your eternal life be stolen from you by the thief and liar that told man "surely you will not die".  Do not condemn yourself by the wrong choice!

  

REPENT SINNER!

LUKE 13: 3

"You will perish, unless you REPENT OF YOUR SINS  and turn to God."

Have you seen the cartoons where the man is holding a sign that reads, "REPENT SINNER"?  The other side of the sign reads, "THE END IS NEAR".  The sign is being held by a man with a beard and wearing a long robe and sandals.  They always have a joke at the bottom that is meant to be funny.  How ironic that something that contains such concise truth has become a joke to many. The consequences of not getting this message are anything but funny.  It may seem clever or humorous to make light of these important messages, but those who let them become obscured to them have their eternal life at stake.  YOU WILL PERISH UNLESS YOU REPENT OF YOUR SINS AND TURN TO GOD!   THE END IS NEAR AND ALWAYS AT HAND!

In God's timing the end is always near to mere mortals.  The message that the end is near, is appropriate at any time to any person.  We are just here for a moment and then in the twinkling of an eye we will be gone.  It is true that all men will perish and death is one thing that will happen to us all.  So the statement is not a joke, it is the truth and we need to heed the message.  Your soul will end up in one of two places, either in Heaven with the Lord, or separated from God forever and eternally damned.  You will perish unless you get the message!

You will not perish if you listen to the message from the Lord and then ask Him into your heart!  You can be born again and then live forever if you repent of your sins and turn to God!

To repent means to turn around from the path you have been on and the sins you have been committing and turn toward God and follow His straight path.  You turn away from your life of the flesh and to the life of the Spirit.  You are responsible for your choice to reject or heed the signs.  The consequences of not repenting and turning to God are yours alone.  Listen to that voice in your spirit that calls you and tells you the truth.   REPENT SINNERS, THE END IS NEAR!         

WHO IS YOUR BOSS!

COLOSSIANS 3: 23

"Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were WORKING FOR THE LORD, rather than for people."

Who do you work for?  Most people have a boss.  Even those who are independent still are working for their clients and those who pay for their services.  There will always be someone who is over you and to whom you are beholding.  The smartest business owners know that the customer is their real boss.  The customer is the one who pays for your services and in the end your pay check.  In short we all work for someone and the question for today is WHO IS YOUR BOSS?  

Our One Truth Today has the correct and real answer to the question; who is your boss?  In reality we are WORKING FOR THE LORD!  That is why you should work at whatever you do willingly.  You are not working for people, you are working for the Lord.  That is why even slaves were admonished to be good slaves and good workers, by the bible.  Keep in mind that this is all temporary servitude on earth.   We are here for a moment and then eternally in heaven.  That is the attitude that will make you so much different than the non believer.  You can suffer through any momentary situation because the promise of what is to come is real and only a short time away.  The Lord will pay your wages and in the end you will be rewarded beyond comprehension.  You can be happy even in the worst of circumstances knowing who your boss really is!

No matter what you do for a living, or what your task is at any time, put your whole heart and soul into it and do it willingly, without complaining.  Do your job as though you are doing it for the Lord, and not for any man.  You will receive your inheritance from the Lord, not from any man.  Your real reward is not in the moment, but in the eternal kingdom of God.  You may receive some compensation here on earth for your efforts but you can not take it with you when you pass on.  It is clear that we are actually serving our master Jesus Christ the Lord God, and not anyone else.  WHO IS YOUR BOSS?  Jesus Christ is our boss and our Lord and our Saviour!  

THINK ABOUT THE THINGS OF HEAVEN!

COLOSSIANS 3: 2-3

THINK ABOUT THE THINGS OF HEAVEN,  not the things of earth.  For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Jesus Christ the Lord God."

How often do you think about Heaven and your real life which is hidden in Jesus Christ the Lord God?  Which life is more important to you, the one here on earth or the one to come in heaven? Have you grasped the concept of  how short our lives are here on earth in comparison to the life eternal we have been promised?  Do you feel secure about where you will spend eternity?  Have you set your sights on the reality of your home with the Lord in His eternal Kingdom?  One way to tell is whether you spend a lot of time trying to accumulate worldly possessions and building up a treasure here on earth!  You came into this life with nothing and you will leave with nothing.  Everything that you possess here on earth will become the property of others.  You can keep nothing and it has no value in the heavenly kingdom. 

The One Truth Today is that your attention and affection should be set on the things above and not the things of the earth.  Set your mind on higher things and think about the things of heaven!  That is where you real home is and will be forever!  We are just passing through this life on earth and we are Pilgrims on a journey that will lead us to our real home.  Your life on the earth will lead to inevitable death and then the judgement.  If you are a child of God you will be saved and rewarded with a mansion in heaven and eternal life.  If you are not a child of God you will be separated from God eternally.  If you have died to this life you will find your real life in heaven with Jesus Christ the Lord God.  Now that is something to think about!

When tragic things happen here on earth, people ask, why would a "good God" allow such things to happen?  Fill in the blank question about, babies dying, planes crashing, earthquakes, soldiers dying, killer storms, etc.  Of course everyone has their own personal tragedies and situations that prompt the same question.  If you just have your sights set here on earth then you will not be able to answer the question.  Look in the right direction, up!  Think about the things of heaven, not the things of the earth.  Die to this life and receive eternal life in perfection instead.  On earth there is death, disease, destruction, termination and limitation.   In  heaven there is the hidden eternal life of perfection.  Keep you thoughts and sight vertically and not horizontally.  Do not focus on the earth, instead build up your treasures in heaven.

DEAD OR ALIVE!

COLOSSIANS 2: 13

"You were DEAD because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away.  Then God made you ALIVE with Christ, for He forgave all your sins."

There is a popular movie call DEAD MAN WALKING.  The theme of the movie is that sometimes men are all ready dead, but they just do not know it!  They are on the path to death and unless some miracle intervenes they will soon die.  In fact it is just a matter of time until all of us meet the same fate.  We are all born and we will all die.  You are considered spiritually dead if you still have your sinful nature and have not become a child of God.  You are DEAD because of your sinful nature and the sins you have all ready committed.  You can only be made ALIVE by accepting the free gift of life from Jesus Christ.  He will forgive all your sins and save you from death and separation from God.  Thus you will be "Born Again" to a new life.  

Are you a "dead man walking" right now?  You may be alive physically but spiritually you are doomed.  Your end is in sight and it is not pretty.  If you reject Jesus Christ the Lord God you will be forever separated from Him.  It will be your own choice and your own consequence!  We are all subject to death and then the judgement of the Lord.  Our spirit will survive eternally and the only question is where it will reside.  If you continue in your sin and never accept the free gift of eternal life and the mercy and forgiveness of God then you will be condemned to be separated eternally from God.  This "second death" is the one to fear for there is no returning and finding new life.  True believer's do not have to fear the first death as they will be resurrected and given a new life and a new body.  Are you DEAD OR ALIVE?

There is only one way and one truth that will save you.  There is only one Saviour, and that is Jesus Christ the Lord God.  We all have come short of the glory of God and no one is good, no not one or us.  If you accept the free gift of life and salvation you will avoid eternal death and damnation.  You will be alive eternally and in Heaven with the Lord and there we will be, always!  The choice seems so clear and obvious that no one would prefer death to live, but, there are many who have been deceived and still believe the lie that "surely you will not die".

What will you choose to be, DEAD OR ALIVE?
