I AM TOO MUCH OF A SINNER!

LUKE 5: 8

"Oh Lord, please leave me, I AM TOO MUCH OF A SINNER to be around you."

Is there anyone who is too much of a sinner to be Saved by Jesus Christ? What kind of a person did the Lord come to earth to Save? Is there anyone who is so "Good", that they do not need to be Saved? We are fortunate that the Lord is no respecter of persons! That is why He is willing to accept anyone who opens their heart to Him, into the kingdom of God! No matter who you are or how much you have sinned, the Lord is offering you the free gift of Salvation and eternal life, if you believe in Him! There is only one way that you can be excluded from having the Lord Save you and forgive you of your sins. You have to reject His offer and refuse His invitation. Our One Truth Today is that no one can say, I AM TOO MUCH OF A SINNER to be around you Lord!

It is a mistake to say to the Lord, please leave me alone! Every person that is born into this world needs to come to a knowledge that they are sinners, and that they need a Savior. No one is good, no not one! All of us have come short of the Glory of God, and we have all been born of the flesh. That is what the "good news" is all about. No matter what sins you have committed or what harm you have done, the Lord offers you a new and spiritual life with the forgiveness of all of your sins, if you give your life to Him. Sins vary with the individual and yet no one can say they are without sin. Everyone needs forgiveness, some more than others. In this scripture, Peter when confronted with the Purity and Holiness of the Lord, realized how filthy and sinful he was in contrast. That applies to us all!

No matter what sins you have committed, or how corrupt you have been, Jesus Christ is the only one who can Save you and give you new and eternal life. If you repent of your sins and confess them to the Lord He will forgive you. No one is too much of a sinner! If you believe in your heart and confess with your tongue that Jesus Christ is the Lord God, you will be Saved!
The Lord is faithful to forgive all of our sins and cleanse us and give us new and eternal life!
Rather than asking the Lord to leave you alone in your sin, you should be praying and asking that He will Save you. No one is beyond His reach and the Lord will disagree if you say, I AM TOO MUCH OF A SINNER!

PRAY OFTEN AND ALONE!

MARK 5: 16

"Jesus OFTEN withdrew to the WILDERNESS TO PRAY!

Jesus Christ, the Lord God, was without sin. Why did He PRAY OFTEN AND ALONE? The Lord was praying for others and for the world that He had created! We need to learn from the Lord and emulate Him in all His ways. We need to pray to the Lord for others and for this world that we live in. As the disciples learned, their prayers were not always effective and the Lord advised them what to do. Fasting and withdrawing into to secluded places for additional prayer was His advice. Jesus was advising them to do what He had done. Jesus often withdrew to the wilderness to pray! If you want to be more like Jesus then learn this One Truth Today!

When the world closes in on you, and life becomes too hectic and too busy, that is the time to with draw to a quiet secluded place and pray alone! It is good advice to have a "quiet time" each and every day of your life. Stop and reflect on the Word of the Lord and by all means pray without ceasing to God! You can build a strong spiritual muscle with the exercise of praying alone and often and on a regular basis! Find a place where the world can not interfere or intrude on your concentrated time with the Lord. PRAY OFTEN AND ALONE!

Retreats and seminars can be an important part of this valued time. Even there set aside some of the time to be alone. It is wonderful to pray with your spouse or family but the Lord felt it important to PRAY OFTEN AND ALONE! You and the Lord with some alone time is time well spent. It is the example that the Lord provided for us. The truth is that we are never alone and that God is with us throughout our entire lives. We need to acknowledge this and the best way is to pray without ceasing to the God of our creation. He is right there and He cares about every little detail of your life. He knows your name and He hears our petitions and requests, and He will answer them. When it come to the Lord, PRAY OFTEN AND ALONE!

PEOPLE SHOULD BE BAPTIZED!

LUKE 3: 3

"Then John went from place to place on both sides of the Jordan river, preaching
that PEOPLE SHOULD BE BAPTIZED, to show they had turned to God to receive forgiveness for their sins!"

Have you opened the door to your heart and invited Jesus Christ the Lord God to come in and dwell with you? Have you received forgiveness for your sins and turned to God? Have you been Baptized? The One Truth Today is to point out that John preached that PEOPLE SHOULD BE BAPTIZED! Remember that the Lord allowed John to Baptize Him in the Jordan River and that should be a sufficient indication of what the Lord expects of us, once we believe! If you come to understand Baptism you will realize that it symbolizes dying to the flesh and rising up from your watery grave a new spiritual person. It symbolizes the washing away of all of your sins and being a new spiritual person. If you have turned to God and been Saved by His Grace and forgiven of your sins, join the other believer's, PEOPLE SHOULD BE BAPTIZED!

John had received a message from God to go into the wilderness of the desert and fulfill the prophesy of Isaiah. It had been predicted that people should make straight the way to the Lord and have their sins washed away by being Baptized. They would die to themselves and become a new creature in Christ Jesus. John's message was to Repent and that the Kingdom of Heaven was at hand! Baptism was the outward sign of the inward cleansing of the soul. All people need to Repent and turn away from their path to sin. They need the forgiveness of God. That is why John was crying out in the wilderness, telling everyone, PEOPLE NEED TO BE BAPTIZED!

The message is clear and unambiguous. If you believe in God and have been Saved and forgiven of your sins, then you should be Baptized. Show the world and your Savior that you have become a new creature, born again, in the Spirit and in the water. You have been raised from the dead and have new life. By repenting of your sins you have straightened out your path to God and turned from your sins. The old person has died and the new person is a child of God.
If you want to emulate Jesus Christ and be more like Him then, PEOPLE SHOULD BE BAPTIZED!

DESCRIPTION OF A WORTHY WOMAN!

PROVERBS 31: 10-31

"An excellent wife, who can find her. Her worth is far above jewels."

Our One Truth Today encompasses verses 10 through 31 of chapter 31 of Proverbs. Please read and digest what sounds like a description of WONDER WOMAN! The key verse is number 30;
A woman who fears the Lord , she shall be praised! Ladies, does this describe you?
If you fear the Lord you have the beginning of wisdom and have accomplished the number one step in fulfilling this Proverb. Only after keeping the Lord first in your life can you hope and expect to see the other steps fall into place. Submit yourself to the Lord and the rest will flow naturally to you as a woman. Your husband will trust you. You will comfort and encourage others. You will do good all of your life. You will do your tasks willingly, as unto the Lord!
Your life will be the DESCRIPTION OF A WORTHY WOMAN!

Are you more precious than rubies and pearls to your husband? Does your family trust and rely on your word? Do you desire the spiritual food of the Word of God on a daily basis? Are you compassionate to the needy and do you reach out to them? When you open your mouth does Godly wisdom and wise counsel come from you tongue, if so you will be greatly praised!
A worthy woman such as this will have children that will rise up and bless her. Her husband will praise her and trust in her. Even as you grow older, you inner beauty will increase and you will become even more beautiful to your husband. He will praise you forever. The blessings of God will be abundant to the woman who reverently and fervently worships the Lord God!

It almost seems more than the mind can comprehend or what is possible to do for a woman. The truth is that without God as your partner, it would be impossible. With God all things are possible and they can even seem easy. as you are yoked to Him. There is no real Wonder Woman, that is a character of fiction. There are however millions of WORTHY WOMEN, who fulfill every word of this Proverb. I know, because my wife is one! I have a daughter that meets every one of the criteria and she is reaching out to countless others to teach them the Word of God that gives life! The final job of the WORTHY WOMAN, is to teach the young women about the Word of God and what He expects from them. Do it by example and by your teaching!

STAY ALERT, WATCH FOR HIM!

MARK 13: 32-33

"No one knows the day or the hour of the Lord's return, not even the angels in heaven or the Son Himself. Only the Father knows! Since you do not know when the time will come, be on guard, STAY ALERT, WATCH FOR HIM!

Are you anxiously awaiting the Lord's return? Do you expect that it will happen in your lifetime? In the past, many have predicted the Lord's return. No one has been correct. If the Son and the angels do not know the day or the hour of the Lord's return, what are the chances that any man or collection of men will be correct? It may be that predicting the Lord's return should be avoided by man! As a believer, however, the One Truth Today is that we should be on guard, STAY ALERT AND WATCH FOR HIM! Our prayer should be, Maranatha; come quickly Lord Jesus! How about you, do you look forward to and welcome the Lord's return?

Everyone, from the first disciples to the present day believer's want to know when the Lord will return and claim His Kingdom and His Church. We have all looked for signs that could indicate
His imminent return. We have studied the Word of God for anything that could indicate that the end of time is near! What we should have learned by now is that there will be no one who will know the day or the hour of the Lord's return. Only the Father knows when that event will happen. Our task from the Father is to STAY ALERT, WATCH FOR HIM, and be on guard! If
we are anxiously awaiting the Lord's return, we will be keeping Him first in our lives and in our thoughts!

Good advice is to be wide awake and full of the Spirit of God. If you want to be prepared for His return then keep the oil of the Spirit full in your lamp. Do not let the light go out in your walk with the Lord! Do not get lost in the cares of this world, but focus on your relationship with Jesus Christ the Lord God. Whatever your present circumstances, they should not come between you and the Lord. You can be deathly ill, in prison or in the midst of a war, but you need to STAY ALERT, WATCH FOR HIM! Our expectation is to have the joy of being in heaven with the Lord, and remain there with Him forever. Do not let anything or anyone get in the way of that dream. We are told to "look up for our redemption draws nigh"! Be ready, be on guard, STAY ALERT, WATCH FOR HIM!

IN THE MULTITUDE OF COUNSELORS THERE IS SAFETY!

PROVERBS 11: 14

"Where there is no wise guidance, the people fail; but, IN THE MULTITUDE OF COUNSELORS THERE IS SAFETY!"

Before you make a life changing decision do you seek the advice and counsel of others? The One Truth Today points out that IN THE MULTITUDE OF COUNSELORS THERE IS SAFETY. We need to make it a habit to get wise guidance before we make a commitment that will change our lives. If you make snap decisions, or jump before you look, the consequences can be predictable. Seeking God's Word and the wise counsel of other believer's should be the first step in any decision that you make about your future! Acting without thinking a problem or plan through is a sure recipe for failure and taking a fall. No single person has all the information you may need for your decision. Success has many fathers, defeat is an orphan!

While each of us is here on earth we will have to make some very important and life changing decisions. What will your profession be? Who will you choose for a spouse? How many children should we have? What political party should I support? How should I handle my finances? Of course the most important decision or choice you will ever make in your life is whether or not to accept Jesus Christ the Lord God into your heart! If you open the door to your heart and invite the Lord in to dwell with you, then the Holy Spirit will help lead and guide you throughout your life. If you keep the Lord and His Word first in your life and every thing that you do, you will have wise counsel. Then seek many Godly counselors to insure there is safety in your decisions.

A nation is no different than a person when it comes to seeking wise counsel. Without wise guidance the people will fail. As a nation we need to increase the odds of our success by seeking the counsel of many wise and divergent opinions before making nation changing decisions. Leadership that insulates itself and does not go outside of their small cadre is asking for failure. Of course to be successful a country has to have God first and foremost in everything that they do. The Lord needs to be at the center of our leadership and our country in order to we wise. The beginning of wisdom is the Fear of God! We must individually and collectively put first things first. IN THE MULTITUDE OF COUNSELORS THERE IS SAFETY!

THERE TRULY IS A REWARD!

PSALM 58: 11

"THERE TRULY IS A REWARD for those who live for God; surely there is a God
who judges justly here on earth."

If you do the right things, you should be rewarded. If you do the wrong things, there will be consequences. Each one of us is responsible for own thoughts, beliefs and actions. Your choice,
your consequence! Those of us who live for God and believe His Word will have a definable and predictable result. We know that there is a God who judges here on earth and He is Just! That is the One Truth Today: THERE IS A REWARD for those who live for God! If you trust the Lord here on earth you will be rewarded with eternal life in Heaven. If you reject the God of the earth and all the universe, you will also reap a predictable result. You will be separated from God for eternity. You will reap what you sew!

THERE TRULY IS A REWARD, for those who live for God. Can you even imagine anything as Glorious and wonderful as being in perfection in Heaven with the Lord forever and ever? Do you realize that you will avoid the second and eternal death? You will be a child of God forever! Everyone dies once, and then they are judged. Those that have been born of the Spirit and accepted the free gift of Salvation from the Lord will be given new and eternal life! Those who have not lived for God and have rejected Him, will die the second death and be separated forever. The justice of the Lord is perfect and you are responsible, not God, for the choice that you made!

There are people that question whether God is a Just God. How much more just can He be than to give everyone free will and the ability to choose for themselves. When they ask how can a Good God let bad things happen, such as Hell, there is an answer that you will find is your responsibility. Your reward or punishment will be in direct relation to you words, thoughts, actions and beliefs. Have you lived for God while you were here on earth? Have you rejected God and everything to do with Him? Your choice, your consequence. Making no decision is the same as rejecting the free gift that was presented to you. THERE TRULY IS A REWARD!
Are you going to live for God here on earth or are you going to live for yourself? Choose wisely!
