EVERYTHING THAT YOU NEED!

LUKE 12: 31

"Seek the kingdom of God above all else and the Lord will give you EVERYTHING THAT YOU NEED."

Have  you heard the song, "All you need is love"?  It is true!  Do not forget that God is Love!     God is EVERYTHING THAT YOU NEED!  That is the One Truth Today and the message of this scripture.  Seek first and above all else the kingdom of God and then everything will be added unto you.  Notice it is not everything that you want, it is everything that you need!  Once again we see that if we keep the first thing, first, we are rewarded.  Keep the Lord God first in your life and everything about it and He will provide you with everything that you need.  All you have to do is seek His kingdom above everything else.

Jesus Christ also give us good advice, in this chapter of the Bible, when He tells us "do not worry".  Do not worry about your life, what you will eat, or wear, or about your body.  Life and that eternal is more than these earthly things that are only momentary.  The Lord wants us to consider how He provides for all the animals and plants on earth.  He will provide us with so much more.  Non believer's and pagans seek greedily after the things of this world.  They fail to see what they really need!  All  you need is Love.  All you need is God.  God will provide you with EVERYTHING THAT YOU NEED!

"Seek first the kingdom of God and all His righteousness and then everything will be added unto you".  The first commandment tells us to worship God and Him only and have no other God's before Him.  If we have other idols, such as wealth and possessions, we are disrespecting God.  We are the love the Lord God with all of our hearts, mind, body and soul.  In other words we do not need a big home, fancy car, and a lot of money to enter the kingdom of God and receive eternal life.  We just need God.  We do not need perfect health, a perfect body, clothed in splendor to enter the kingdom of God.  We just need God.  Can you add a single moment to your life or save yourself?  No you can not, you just need God.  The Lord Jesus Christ is EVERYTHING THAT YOU NEED!

FEAR GOD!

LUKE 12:5

"I will tell you whom to fear.  FEAR GOD, who has the power to kill you and then throw you into hell.  Yes God is the one to fear!"

Why is it that so many people can not accept the fact that they should FEAR GOD?  They think that if God is a good God, why should we fear Him.  They are the same people who do not fear any authority.  They do not fear their parents, teachers, or those in authority over them.  They show disrespect for any authority and they are proud of it.  They have failed to learn even the beginning of wisdom and show incredible ignorance.  Believer's know from the Word of God that the beginning of wisdom, is the fear of God.  Before anyone can or should be considered wise or knowledgeable they must first learn to be respectful of God.  Who is it that has the power over life and death?  Who is the only one to offer eternal life?  Who has the power to condemn you to Hell and that eternally.  Not fearing God has deadly consequences!

What are you afraid of?  Do you fear your neighbors, thieves, murderers or your government?  Do  you fear flying, driving on freeways, or traveling to new places?  Do you fear bugs or other creatures that you may come in contact with?  Do  you fear heights or being alone?  Many people are so afraid of dying, that they fail to live.  Some fears are rational and meant to keep us away from harm and other fears are irrational and merely indicate our ignorance.  The One Truth Today is that you can take all the other fears that you may have and place them up against the only true fear that matters.  God says; "I will tell you whom to fear.  FEAR GOD!

We do not have to be afraid of anyone or anything that wants to kill our earthly body.  After killing your body they can have no further power over you.  What more can any earthly power do after they have taken your life?  The important question is who has the power over you after death?  Your soul is eternal and it will be judged and then you will be saved or condemned.  Who has the power to judge you?  Who has the power to Save you?  Who has the power to give you eternal life or damnation forever?  If you understand the questions above and know the answers then you know whom to fear!  We do not need to fear men, but we do have to FEAR GOD!  Death where is thy sting?  Grave where is thy victory?

HEAR AND OBEY THE WORD OF GOD!

LUKE 11: 28

"Jesus said; blessed are all who hear the Word of God, and put it into practice!"

Have you had someone say to you, "do as I say, not what I do"?  Many parents fail to set a good example for their children to follow and expect their children to act differently from them.  Did your parents live the way they should as believer's?  Any one in authority has a duty to lead by example.  If  you want others to follow you and live by your stated principals then you also have to walk the walk.  In our One Truth Today we see Jesus telling His followers how they can be blessed if they not only hear His Word, but then put what they hear into practice.  Hearing without obeying and not practicing what you hear will not be blessed.

If you want to be happy and the envy of others you must put what God has taught you into practice.  You must obey God and His Word and not just read or listen to what He teaches.  We must be doers of the Word and not just hearers!  No matter what your parents or teachers or others in authority do,   you are expected to observe and put into practice the messages and teaching of the Lord.  It is no excuse to you personally what others in your life have done.  If you look closely you will see that the only ones blessed are the ones that hear the Word of God and then put it into practice.   HEAR AND OBEY THE WORD OF GOD!

It sounds simple, but then you must love your enemies.  You must give to those that ask of you.  You must be certain that Jesus Christ is first in everything that you do.  You must practice what has been preached to you by the Word.  We must first learn His commandments and then live by them.  Learn from His prophets and live and act out what they teach us.  Pray without ceasing about everything and ask God for His help.  Be slow to anger and forgive your debtors.  In short, if you want to be blessed in this life and the life to come, you must listen to Jesus and then do what you are told because He did it before you.  HEAR AND OBEY THE WORD OF GOD!

KEEP ON ASKING!

LUKE 11: 9

"KEEP ON ASKING and you will receive what you ask for.  Keep on seeking and you will find it.  Keep on knocking and the door will be opened unto you."

When you ask for something, what are  your expectations?  Do you think or believe that you should get anything and everything as soon as you want it?  Are you persistent and determined in your requests?  Most importantly are your requests in concert with God's will?  The One Truth Today, in this scripture, assures us that everyone who asks, receives.  We are told that if we keep on seeking we will find what we are looking for.  If we keep on knocking, the door will be opened to us.  The important aspect of this truth is that we are expected to KEEP ON ASKING!  Even the Lord in the garden of Gethsemane made the same request three times.

You will get an answer to your request and it can vary depending on the Lord's will for you at the time.  The answer could be yes instantaneously,  or it could be delayed for a period of time, or it may be no.  If you are in God's will and are being led by the Holy Spirit, you can be assured that your prayers are being heard and they will be answered.  If you are not in God's will and you have some repenting to do,  your prayers may not be heard or answered.  When we are separated from God it is difficult to achieve a positive response to your prayers.  Still the truth is that God expects us to keep on asking, keep on seeking and keep on knocking!

The first step to having your prayers heard is to have asked the Lord to dwell with  you in your heart.  You need to be committed to Him and persistent in your worship and devotion. Learning more of God's Word is a valuable resource.  Continually check your relationship with God. Be more and more like Him every day.  Seek Him first in everything and with all your heart.  Know and keep His commandments and statutes.  Know His will for your life.  Your Father in Heaven grants answers to prayers and He can do anything.  Your earthly father wants to give you gifts, how much more your Heavenly Father desires to answer His children's prayers.  Do you want a door opened, do you want to find what you are looking for, do you want to receive the answer to your requests?  KEEP ON ASKING!

HAPPY HEART!

PROVERBS 15: 15

"For the despondent, every day brings trouble;  for the HAPPY HEART, life is a continual feast."

Does this One Truth Today sound like the power of positive thinking to you?  Does this show that the Word of God really does include statements that indicate that your attitude may have a direct effect on your daily lives?  Does it really make a difference what you think in your mind and heart?  Remember, as a man thinks about himself in his heart, that is what he will be!  Is it possible that what you sew from your heart and mouth may lead to the harvest you will have to reap and live on?  If you are despondent does that lead to trouble for you?  If you have a HAPPY HEART, will your life be a continual feast?

There are numerous other scriptures that affirm that it is beneficial for us to have a HAPPY HEART.  We know that a thought proceeds every act.  God spoke and the world came into being.  As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.  This was confirmed by the famous French philosopher Descartes, who said; "I Think, Therefore, I am!"  So we see that the concept is biblical and worldly.  It provides insight into how we should conduct our lives.  What can any person do to change their life based on this truth?  If you think and speak negatively and are despondent, having all kinds of trouble,  you can change what you think and say.  If you adopt a happy heart with positive thoughts and statements you can enjoy a better life.  That can happen right now, today.

Having a HAPPY HEART and a positive attitude can indeed make a difference in your daily lives.  Having a negative or despondent attitude does affect your life and leads to all kinds of trouble.  You are in control of your thoughts, which you have one at a time.  The way you can impact your life is to control one thought at a time in you life.  You alone are responsible for your attitude and prior to that your thoughts.  It is parallel to accepting or rejecting Jesus Christ the Lord God and His Word.  If  you accept the Lord you fill find life.  If you reject the Lord you will be responsible for your own damnation and trouble.  So you see, you are the one that has the responsibility for what happens in your life here and in the future to come.  The Word tells us to have a HAPPY HEART!

WHO DO YOU COUNT ON?

PSALM 130: 5

"I am counting on the Lord;  yes I am counting on Him.  I have put my hope in God's Word."

Who do you count on?  Every person counts on someone, such as their father or mother. Everyone is waiting for someone that they can rely on to save or protect them.  Are you counting on a person or government or hero to come to your rescue?  Are you afraid of the future and what it holds for you?  Do  you worry about how you might come to die, knowing that it is inevitable?  What and whom can you rely on?  Surely you know that you can not save yourself or rely on yourself, or any other human to to come to  your rescue.  So where is your hope?  WHO DO YOU COUNT ON?

The only one you can truly rely on, or place your hope in, is the Lord.  Jesus Christ the Lord God is and will remain your only hope or salvation.  You will find this truth in His Word and they are the only things that you can count on!  There is no other place that you can go to find peace and eternal life.  Any other way will separate you from God and lead to your eternal death.  Our only hope is in the Lord Jesus Christ.  Jesus came in to this world to redeem us and allow us into His Heavenly Kingdom.  If you never come to know or accept the Lord into your heart you will have no hope and you will be counting on something that will never save you.  So you see it is important to have the correct answer to the question, WHO DO YOU COUNT ON?

All believer's count on the Lord to save them.  We have put our hope and trust in Him.  We are waiting with great anticipation and expectancy for His salvation.  We have read and learned His Word and we know that it is the Way the Truth and the Light.  We know that no one will come unto the Father except those who belong to Jesus Christ.   We are assured by His Word and the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives that His promises are true and can be relied on.  We do not fear death for we know that the Lord has overcome death and there is no victory over us by the grave and there is no sting in leaving this world if we belong to Him.  I am counting on the Lord, yes I am counting on Him and I have put my Hope in His Word.  WHO DO YOU COUNT ON?

LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR!

GALATIANS 5: 14

"For the whole law can be summed up in this one command:  LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR as yourself."

Six of the Lord's ten commandments have to do with our personal relationships with others.  How we treat our mother and father and how we interact with our neighbors.  There are some specific admonitions and prohibitions about our actions and behaviors.  We are not to murder one another, we are not to steal from one another, we are not to carry on adulterous relationships.  We are not to be jealous of one another or bear false witness against each other.  We are to give honor to our mother and father regardless of how we feel or what we believe about them.  They can be summed up in this one ideal;  treat others as you would like to be treated, love others as you love yourself!

What is your relationship like with your mother and father?  What is your relationship like with your brothers and sisters?  What is your relationship like with  your neighbors?  Do you even know your neighbors names?  Do you interact with  your neighbors?  Remember according to the Word, everyone in the world is your neighbor.  What do you think about the different cultures and races?  Do  you love everyone as yourself?  Do you LOVE  YOUR NEIGHBOR?

We are not to pick and choose whom we will love.  The commandment is to love one another as if they were ourselves.  Regardless of a persons physical condition, financial condition, political party, or skin color, we are to love them.  We are to love them unconditionally, just as the Lord does.  We are even to love our enemies!  God is no respecter of persons and He loves them all. We are to be like God and a doer of His Word, not just a hearer.  What would you like your neighbor to do for you?  If you know God and Love His Word, then you are to obey the One Truth for Today;  LOVE  YOUR NEIGHBOR!
