WE NEVER GIVE UP!

2 CORINTHIANS 4: 12

"Therefore, since God in His Mercy has given us this new way, WE NEVER GIVE UP! We reject all shameful deeds and underhanded methods. We do not try to trick anyone or distort the Word of God. We tell the truth before God, and all who are honest know this."

In a famous Oxford University graduation speech, Winston Churchill told the class what was required of them to be successful in life. What made the speech famous was the length, clarity and wisdom of what he had to say. The speech consisted of three words repeated three times with a pause between each admonition. NEVER GIVE UP! NEVER GIVE UP! NEVER GIVE UP! After the long and boring graduation speeches of the past, it took the class by surprise and it was a short time before the crowd realized this was the best graduation speech ever given.

They broke into thunderous applause that lasted much longer than the speech. This was a concise and powerful message that had more relevance for their lives than any other given!

In our One Truth Today, Paul is telling us the same thing when it comes to our relationship with God! NEVER GIVE UP! NEVER GIVE UP! NEVER GIVE UP!

If you have received the Mercy of God and been Saved from your sin you have been given the new way of the Lord. The Spirit of God will lead you and teach you to reject all shameful deeds and underhanded acts. We are not to trick anyone or distort the Word of God in our testimonies. We must tell the truth before God and then all who are honest will know it! God is truth and we must always be truthful to the Lord and to others. When it comes the kingdom of God we are to hold out to the very end in His service. WE NEVER GIVE UP!

In Paul's life and in our own there have been many disgraceful methods used to adulterate the Word of God. The message of the Lord has been distorted by cunning and dishonest representatives of the devil. They mean to trick people into misleading and adulterated versions of their truth. They take the focus off of God and His Word and place it on themselves and their religion. We know the truth of the Gospel and the way of the Lord and we must keep it pure and Holy. No tricks, just the truth about the "good news" the Word of God left us.

Hold out with the truth until the very end and continue to worship Jesus Christ the Lord God!

NEVER GIVE UP! NEVER GIVE UP! WE NEVER GIVE UP!

IS IT TIME TO CLEAN YOUR HOUSE!

2 CORINTHIANS 7: 1

"Because we have the promise of God and He lives in us, let us CLEANSE OURSELVES from everything that can defile our body or spirit! Let us work toward Holiness because we Fear God!"

Every year I remember my mother going through our house to do what she called a cleansing.

She went into every room of the house, including the basement and all the closets and the garage to remove anything that made the house unclean. She threw out anything that was old and filthy and no longer valuable to the family. In the process she made everything sparkle and smell new and fresh and wonderful. The rugs got beaten, the floors polished and the windows cleaned until they sparkled. When she finished the house looked brand new. Even tiny things did not escape her view and she did not miss anything that would defile our home. We all did appreciate what she had done and took comfort in our cleansed home. It was a Holy project to her and she knew God was pleased! IS IT TIME TO CLEAN YOUR HOUSE?

It may be hard to think of your body as a house, but it is the temple of the Lord. We also need to remember that the Holy Spirit is residing in our body and we need to keep our house clean so that we are not defiled and we can work toward complete Holiness and Righteousness! If you Fear God you will understand our One Truth Today! We must take responsibility for our bodies environment. What is it that the Lord desires of us? Keep your body and temple clean from everything that can defile our body or our spirit. IS IT TIME TO CLEAN YOUR HOUSE?

It is our duty to hear this Word and then put it into action because we want to be Holy and righteous. If you Fear God you understand.

When our daughter came to the Lord and accepted the Holy Spirit into her heart, I remember her asking if she could keep her worldly record collection and continue listening. I asked her if Jesus Christ the Lord God would enjoy or want to hear the records. Out they went. My son had magazines that contained pictures that defiled his body and spirit. Out they went. We had a statue of a fertility god and buddha that had to be removed. The movies that we had taken for granted had to be eliminated. The programs that we watched on TV had to be cleansed to only those that edify our spirit. The books in the house that had no redeeming value got tossed out.

We reexamined our clothes and jewelry and what we could wear. Our language and vocabulary was changed and the old foul language tossed out. You get the picture, once a year we need to examine our temple and home. IS IT TIME TO CLEAN YOUR HOUSE?

TODAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION!

2 CORINTHIANS 6: 2

"Indeed the right time is now. TODAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION!"

If you have not been Saved by Jesus Christ the Lord God, this should be the day of your Salvation. The right time is now, the right day is today. If you let this day pass bye without accepting the Lord Jesus Christ into your heart and believing in Him, you may never get another opportunity! It does not matter what day of the week it is, it does not matter where you are located as the circumstances are different for every individual at any given moment. The One Truth Today is that for you, INDEED THIS IS THE RIGHT TIME! TODAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION! You do not have to be in a church or called by an evangelist or pastor. It is different for everyone who becomes a child of God. You can be in a foxhole, or a prison or just reading a bible, or talking to a believer, but the important thing is that you open the door to you heart and invite the Lord to come in and dwell with you and Save you!

The Lord God does not want anyone to perish and be separated from Him for eternity. He has chosen everyone to be His child. Have you chosen Him as your Savior? The Lord will welcome you at any time and under any circumstances. It does not matter what you have or have not done! This could be the day of your deliverance from sin. Jesus Christ has a free gift for you if you will but only accept it. God is present at all times in our lives and is waiting to hear from you right now! God is graceful and merciful and forgiving. So if you have ever wondered, when would it be the right moment, INDEED THE RIGHT MOMENT IS NOW. TODAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION!

Have you grasped and understood this truth? There is no right time or right place or right circumstance for your Salvation. There is only one thing that you have to do. Make a choice to open your heart and ask the Lord to come in and dwell with you. The Holy Spirit will enter your heart and guide and direct you. That is why it is a different story for every believer when they come to the Lord. Everyone will have a different witness to tell others. The only relevant thing is that you came to Know, Love and Fear the Lord God! You bent your knee and confessed with your tongue that Jesus Christ is the Lord God! You have been Saved and have received eternal life and the forgiveness of all of your sins. TODAY WAS THE DAY OF YOUR SALVATION!

HOW CAN LIGHT LIVE WITH DARKNESS?

2 CORINTHIANS 6: 14

"Do not team up with those who are unbeliever's. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? HOW CAN LIGHT LIVE WITH DARKNESS?"

There can be no harmony between Jesus Christ and the Devil! How can there be harmony between believer's and unbeliever's. To be unequally yoked with someone who is wicked and prefers darkness may be the recipe for a losing team. Think about what can occur in a marriage of this type. When two oxen are pulling in different directions they do not make for a good team! The results are predictable and never good. Our One Truth Today is to point out what the Lord is advising us. If there are major differences and inconsistencies in beliefs and actions a team will not join together. Right living and right standing with God requires an entirely different set of principals that will not team up with unbeliever's. HOW CAN LIGHT LIVE WITH DARKNESS?

Believer's seek light and truth, while the wicked prefer darkness wickedness. If someone is trying to avoid the light how can that be a consistent relationship Remember that the Lord has told us that the Holy Spirit would be with us and dwell with us in our hearts. How can light and darkness dwell together? As His children we welcome the light and truth into our hearts .

Believer's will want to separate from the darkness and wickedness of sinners. Who is on your team? We are in the world and can never be apart from sinners, but we do have choices about who we team up with and surround ourselves with. HOW CAN LIGHT LIVE WITH DARKNESS?

In this life we are always going to be a part of some team or another. The family is a team. Your school is laden with teams. Where you work and are employed are made up of teams. The friends that you choose and surround yourself with are a team. Your political party is a team.

Your church is a team. It makes perfect sense that as a believer you will be attracted to those who are like you and share your values. If not then maybe you need a new school or a new job or a new set of friends. Birds of a feather flock together for a reason. Like minded people will lead to harmony and righteousness can not be a partner with wickedness. Light can not co exist with darkness. They are mutually exclusive. Your choices will lead to your consequences and you alone are in control of those choices. HOW CAN LIGHT LIVE WITH DARKNESS?

EVERYTHING IS MEANINGLESS!

ECCLESIASTES 1: 2

"EVERYTHING IS MEANINGLESS, says the teacher, completely meaningless."

Have you ever wondered how Solomon, the "wisest man to ever live", could reach this conclusion? You would think that he would have something a little more edifying and uplifting to say about life! It was Solomon's opinion that hard work is useless and it will never lead to satisfaction. He believed that history just repeated itself and there was nothing new in the world or under the sun. He believed that what was wrong could not be made right and that to increase wisdom is to increase sorrow. Most importantly he believed that nothing could bring the dead back to life! If this was all true than surely EVERYTHING IS MEANINGLESS, COMPLETELY MEANINGLESS!

The One Truth Today is that we all need to realize and understand that Solomon lived before Jesus Christ came into the world. He was no longer the wisest man to ever live and the plan of redemption unveiled by the Lord changed everything. The "Good News" of the New Testament had not been revealed to Solomon and he did not know about the Mercy and Forgiveness of Jesus Christ and His promise of New and Eternal life. Solomon's perspective relied on the Old Testament thinking and his conclusions did not have the advantage of the New Covenant. The God he knew had become flesh and dwelt among us. If you are caught up in the Old Testament, you too will have despair and find EVERYTHING IS MEANINGLESS! Without Jesus Christ as Your Lord and Savior EVERYTHING IS COMPLETELY MEANINGLESS!

It is true that without Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and without His gift of eternal life and Salvation, everything is meaningless, completely meaningless. There will be nothing new in your life and you will die and be separated from God for eternity. Everything that you have and have done will be meaningless. No wonder you feel great despair. The more earthly wisdom you obtain, the more miserable you become. What is wrong can not be made right.

The hard work is for nothing in the end. What is ahead for you is even worse. You need a Savior, you need Salvation. If you believe on the name of Jesus Christ and accept His Salvation you will find new and meaningful life and that, eternal. If not then EVERYTHING IS MEANINGLESS, COMPLETELY MEANINGLESS!

WE WILL EACH RECEIVE WHATEVER WE DESERVE!

2 CORINTHIANS 5: 10

"For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. WE WILL EACH RECEIVE WHATEVER WE DESERVE, for the good or evil we have done in this earthly body."

There are so many people that wonder what will happen to them when they die. Many have a veil over their eyes placed there by Satan. It is the first lie and the same lie that tells people, "surely God did not say you would die"! Satan is the great deceiver and the father of all lies. Our One Truth Today tells you what will happen when you die. You will stand before Christ at the time of your judgement. WE WILL EACH RECEIVE WHATEVER WE DESERVE. It will be based on the good or evil that you have done in your earthly body. Remember the absolute, you will die once and then the judgement. The judgement will be perfect because it will reflect your choices, thoughts and actions while on earth. You will receive Mercy and be Saved if one of your choices was to believe on Jesus Christ and ask Him into your heart!

You have a choice whom you will serve while you are here on earth. It can be yourself, the prince of darkness or you can serve the Lord. Your choice and your consequence. You will serve somebody, as Bobby Dylan states in his song. The big difference will come at the time of Judgement in that only One can Save You and that is Jesus Christ the Lord God. If you reject the Lord He will say depart from Him for He never knew you. If you have been born again into the kingdom of God you will be saved for eternity and receive new life. It will be too late to change your mind and WE WILL EACH RECEIVE WHATEVER WE DESERVE!

This is the Good News that has been told and accepted by all Christians. We can be Saved from our sins and given a new and eternal life. Jesus Saves. Jesus Forgives you for all the evil that you have done on earth. We have all sinned and come short of the Glory of God and that is why it is imperative to that you believe on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. You need a Savior and there is only one way and one Lord. Now you have no excuse because you have been told of the Mercy of God. WE ALL RECEIVE WHATEVER WE DESERVE.

THE SACRIFICE YOU DESIRE!

PSALM 51: 17-18

"THE SACRIFICE YOU DESIRE from me is a broken spirit. You will not reject a

broken and repentant heart, O God!"

A common question asked by everyone is what am I doing here? We all want to know what life is all about and what is expected of us. Another question frequently asked by many, is that all there is, or is there life after death? What is it that is desired of us while we are here on earth?

We should all be asking, what does Jesus Christ the Lord God desire from us? The correct way to respond to God is by accepting Him and believing in His Salvation for your eternal life. You must Know, Fear, and Love the Lord God and learn to Worship Him and live His Word. You must acknowledge that you are a sinner in need of a Savior. You must offer yourself as a living sacrifice to the God of the Universe.

Man has offered up all kinds of sacrifices throughout time. Burnt offerings of animals was done for hundreds of years. A portion of everything that man accumulated was sacrificed to God. Our One Truth Today makes it clear what the Lord truly desires from each one of us!

The sacrifice that God most desires from you is a broken spirit. One that acknowledges the Holy Spirit of the Lord that will fill your heart. God will not reject a broken and repentant heart. You have to turn from you carnal nature of sinning and turn to the Lord for Salvation.

You must leave the worldly desires behind and live out the Word of God! The scripture just before this one tells us that the Lord does not want burnt offerings any more, since the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

What can you give God that He does not all ready own? You can choose to accept Him into your heart and accept His free gift of Salvation of your own free will. That is the sacrifice that He desires from you and that is what will Save you. Have you given the Lord your broken and repentant heart? The Lord will never reject this gift or sacrifice. It is what He desires! It is the reason and purpose of your birth to this earth. If you bend your knee and confess with your tongue that Jesus Christ is the Lord God you will be Saved! The world has nothing to offer you but death in the end. The Lord offers you eternal life in perfection. Your Sacrifice is what will Save you and what the Lord desires!
