FEAR GOD!

LUKE 12: 5

"I will tell you whom to fear, FEAR GOD, who has the power to kill you and then throw you into Hell. Yes, God is the one to fear!"

Why is it that so many people can not accept our One Truth Today? So many believe that if God is a Good God, then why should they fear Him? They are the same people who have difficulty with authority figures. They may not fear their parents, teachers or others in authority over them. In fact they disrespect any authority and see themselves as their own god! Everything is all about them! They do not even recognize that they are fools. They are proud of their incredible ignorance.. We know this for they have failed the first step in becoming wise. The Word of the Lord tells us that "the beginning of wisdom is the fear of God"! No one can be considered wise or knowledgeable without first knowing, respecting, loving and most importantly they have to FEAR GOD!

Who is it that has the power over your life or your death? It is not you, or any other human being. Who is it that can Save you from death and give you new life? Not you or any other human being or entity. Who promises you eternal peace in heaven, and has the power to kill you and throw you into Hell? Jesus Christ the Lord God is the only answer! Not to FEAR GOD can have deadly consequences and the choice was yours. What are you afraid of? Do you fear your neighbors, thieves, murderers or the government? Do you fear flying, or driving on the freeways, or heights and danger? Many people are so afraid of dying that they fail to live! You can take all the other fears of this world and combine them and they still will not compare to the one that can save your life. FEAR GOD!

That is what is meant by, "the beginning of wisdom is the fear of God". There is only one power that can subject you to eternal death and Hell. If you reject God and fail to fear and know Him you will condemn yourself to your eternal fate. Whoever kills your body here on earth, looses any power over you from that moment on. Who has the power to Save you and give you new life? Your soul is eternal and will reside with the Lord in heaven, or in Hell, and the choices you make are the ones that determine your final disposition. By understanding the scriptures for today you can answer your own questions. Do not fear men, or yourself, FEAR GOD! Yes God is the one to fear!

PUT THE WORD INTO PRACTICE!

LUKE 11: 28

"Jesus said; blessed are all who hear the Word of God, and put it into practice!"

Have your parents or someone else told you, "do as I say, not as I do"? Many parents or authority figures fail to set a good example and practice what they preach. Why should they expect their children or followers to be an different than them? Did your parents live as believer's should, and show you the Way and the Truth? Anyone in authority has a duty to lead by example. If you want others to follow you and do the right thing, then it is a given that you must PUT THE WORD INTO PRACTICE! That is how you will be blessed by the Lord. In our One Truth Today, Jesus is explaining that is not enough to just hear the Word of God. If you want to receive the blessings of God then you have to PUT THE WORD INTO PRACTICE. Hearing with out acting on and practicing the Word is not obeying and there is no blessing!

If you want to be blessed and happy in your life here on earth you must put what God has taught you into practice here and now. You must obey God and His Word, it is not sufficient to read or hear the Word, unless you PUT THE WORD INTO PRACTICE! We must be doers of the Word and not just hearers! Even if your parents or others in authority over you do not live up to the expectations of the Lord, GOD is your Father and He expects you to practice His Word! It is no excuse for you what others have done in your life. They where rewarded in proportion to their use and practice of the Word, and so will you be. Listen, learn and then PUT THE WORD INTO PRACTICE.

If you put the Word into practice, you will love your enemies. You must give to those who ask you. You must be certain that Jesus Christ is first in everything that you do. You must in fact practice what you preach to others. We are to learn the Word and the Commandments of the Lord and then put them into action. We must live by the Truth and the Light of the Lord God.

If we want to be blessed in this life and in the life to come we have to hear, learn, and then put into practice the teachings of Jesus Christ the Lord God. We have to do as we are told, but by the God who always practices what He preaches. People have failed you, but God will never leave you, or fail you, ever! Hear and obey the Word of God. PUT THE WORD INTO PRACTICE!

KEEP ON ASKING!

LUKE 11: 9

KEEP ON ASKING and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking and you will find it. Keep on knocking and the door will opened unto you."

When you ask for something, what are your expectations? Do you believe that you should get everything that you ask for, as soon as you want it? Are you persistent and determined to receive what you ask for, no matter how long it takes? Now the most important question; is what you are asking for in God's Will? The One Truth Today gives us an assurance from the Lord! If we KEEP ON ASKING, we will receive what we asked for. If we just keep on seeking, we will find what we are looking for. If we just keep on knocking, the door will be opened for us. A lot of people are convinced this is not true. They need to examine if there requests are in God's will and whether or not they gave up before their prayers could be answered. The Lord made the same prayer three times in the garden of Gethsemane and if He can KEEP ON ASKING , then so should we.

You will get an answer to every prayer. It will vary according to the will of God, and the time that you ask. You can receive what you asked for instantaneously, or it could be delayed to another time, or the answer can be no. You can be assured as a child of God that your every prayer is being heard by God. Some times we have some repenting to do before our prayers will be answered. If the request is not in God's will, he will deny it for your own good. If you become separated from God, you should not expect a positive response. The important lesson for today is that we are encouraged to KEEP ON ASKING, keep on seeking, and keep on knocking for the answer to our prayers!

Have you accepted the Lord Jesus Christ to come into your heart and dwell with you? Is the Holy Spirit residing in your heart today? Do you have a new heart and a new mind? Have you committed your life to God and are you persistently worshiping Him and devoted to Him? Have you studied the valuable resources of the Word of God? Do you continually check your relationship with the Lord? Do you seek him first in everything? Do you know and understand His Will for your life? Then KEEP ON ASKING, and you will receive. Keep on seeking and you will find what you are looking for. Keep on knocking and the doors will be opened unto you!

THE HAPPY HEART!

PROVERBS 15: 15

"For the despondent, every day brings trouble; for THE HAPPY HEART, life is

a continual feast."

We are all familiar with the two kinds of people in our One Truth Today. The attitude and disposition of a person does have an effect on their lives! Does this sound a little like the power of positive thinking to you? Well the Word of God does include numerous statements that tell us our thinking, our words, and our heart have a direct bearing on our daily lives. Ask yourself, does it really make a difference what you say, think and have in your heart? Is it possible that the seeds that you sew from your mouth and heart may lead to a harvest you will have to live on? Remember the Word tells us we will reap what we sew! If you are despondent and negative about life, is it possible that you bring trouble on yourself? Is that why a happy heart leads to a continual feast? Do you have THE HAPPY HEART?

There are numerous other scriptures that affirm and confirm that is beneficial for each of us to have THE HAPPY HEART! We know that a thought proceeds every physical act. God spoke and the world came into being! The Word tells us, "as a man thinks in his heart, so is he!" That was confirmed by Descartes, the French philosopher, who said, "I think, therefore, I am!" So we see that this concept is indeed biblical. It should provide us incite into how we should conduct our lives. Any person can change their life based on their words, thoughts and the content of their heart. If you speak negatively and despondently about life, and then have all kinds of trouble on a daily basis, only you can change that. If instead you spit out positive seeds and words and thoughts and change your heart about life, you can enjoy a continual feast! You control your life one thought, and one act at a time and only you are responsible for the harvest!

Having THE HAPPY HEART, and a positive attitude about life can change your daily results. It is also true that if you keep a negative and despondent attitude you will continue in your results. How is that going for you? If you want to impact your life and avoid the trouble that is brought on by bad seeds, words, and thoughts, then only you can bring about that change. You must control each thought, word and act, each and every day of your life. You can accept this One Truth Today and change your life, or you can reject the Word of God and reject your salvation. You can condemn yourself to a continuing life of misery, despondency, physical and mental troubles, or you can accept this Word of God and Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. The Lord will give you a new heart and a new life and He will fill you with His Holy Spirit. Your life and your future are up to you and the right thing to do is have THE HAPPY HEART! Is this the day when you begin the continual feast provided by the Lord God?

I AM COUNTING ON THE LORD!

PSALM 130: 5

"I AM COUNTING ON THE LORD; yes I am counting on Him. I have put my hope

in God's word."

Who do you count on? Who do you put your trust in? Every person has someone they can count on. Is it your mother or father, sister or brother? When you need someone to protect you and come to your aid, who do you think of? If you are counting on a person, or government, or a hero to come to your rescue, you may be in for a big surprise. We all know that at times in our lives there will be moments when we feel that we just can not handle things on our own. Do you worry about your future and how and when you will die, knowing that it is inevitable? Surely you know that you can not save yourself. You will not be able to rely on any human being. When you are in the foxhole and the bombs are blasting all around you, who are you going to count on to save you? I AM COUNTING ON THE LORD!

The only one that you can truly rely on and place your hope in is the Lord Jesus Christ. He will be with you even until the end of your time on earth. He is your Salvation and the only one that can give you new and eternal life. The Lord can allow you to say, "grave, where is thy victory, death, where is thy sting". The Lord's Truth and His Word are the only thing that you can count on in this life. Have you put your hope in God's Word? There is no other place that you can go to find peace, life and eternal joy! That is why the Lord came into this world, to Save us from our sins and give us new and eternal life. If you never come to accept the Lord into your life, then you will never have hope, peace or life! If you are counting on someone else to save you, it can never happen. There is only one answer; I AM COUNTING ON THE LORD!

As believer's we have placed our hope in the Lord and His Word. We know in our heart that we can count on Him to Save us. We are waiting with great anticipation and expectancy for the day of our Salvation. We trust and believe His Word. We know that He is the Way the Truth and the life! No one can come unto the Father except those that believe and belong to Jesus Christ!

That is why we do not fear death, for we know that the Lord has overcome death and can give us new life. When we are in the foxhole in a raging battle or any other situation that is grave in nature, we turn to the only one who can Save us. Who am I counting on, I AM COUNTING ON THE LORD!

I AM COUNTING ON THE LORD!

LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF!

GALATIANS 5: 14

"For the whole law can be summed up in one command: LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF!"

Six of the ten commandments of the Lord have to do with our personal relationship with others! How we should treat our mother and father as well as how we should interact with our neighbors are taught in the Laws of God. There are specific admonitions and prohibitions about our actions with our neighbors. We are not to murder one another, steal from one another, or commit adultery with one another. Perhaps the one that most commit is being jealous or covetous of what others have and thinking it is all right in God's sight to take from those who have and give to those who have not. Bearing false witness against a neighbor is prohibited. We are to give honor to our mother and father regardless of how we feel about them and what they have done to us. All of these laws can be summed up in this One Truth Today, LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF!

What is your relationship like with your mother and father? Do you honor them or do you disrespect them? What is your relationship like with your brothers and sisters and your neighbors? Do you even know your neighbors names? What amount of interaction is there in your community? Remember, according to the Word of God, everyone is your neighbor in the whole world. What do you think and say about the other races and cultures? Do you love everyone or just yourself and those closest to you? What you want your neighbor to be like, when it comes to you, is the same standard you should apply to yourself. LOVE YOU NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF!

God does not want us to pick and choose whom we shall love. We are to love one another as much as we want to be loved ourself. Regardless of a persons physical, mental or material position we are to love them. Regardless of their political party, skin color, or differences from us we are to love them. We are to offer unconditional love, just as the Lord has shown to us. In fact we are to love our enemies. God is no respecter of persons and His Law directs us to be the same. God loves everyone and does not want even one to be lost. What would you want your neighbor to do for you, that is the standard you should apply to yourself. The whole law of God can be summed up in this one command: LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF!

WHEN YOU BELIEVED!

EPHESIANS 2: 8

"God saved you by His Grace, WHEN YOU BELIEVED. You can not take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things that you have done, so no one can boast about it!"

The Word of God tells us that no one is good, no not one. The One Truth Today tells us that we can not boast about or take credit for our Salvation. The Grace of God is a gift from Him to you WHEN YOU BELIEVED! Thank the Lord, for we have all sinned and come short of the Glory of God. We would all perish in our sin, if not for Jesus Christ the Lord God. You can not save yourself and no other god or person can save you . That is why you can never take credit for your Salvation, and there is nothing that you could have done, no matter how good, that would have saved you. WHEN YOU BELIEVED on the name of the Lord and opened the door to your heart and invited Him in, then you are Saved by Grace! It is a gift from God. In that you have done nothing and the Lord has done everything, you should not boast about your Salvation!

If anyone, from any religion, tells you that you have to do something, or perform something in order to be saved, they are not telling you the truth. Beware of anyone who places any conditions on God, or yourself, in order for you to obtain the free gift of Salvation. Other than believing in God and His Salvation, there is nothing you could do to obtain eternal life. If you believe in your heart that there is only one name under heaven and earth that can save you and give you knew life, you will receive the Gift of God. Open the door to your heart and invite the Lord in right now and believe that He can Save you, and He will! The Lord will Save you by His Grace and give you eternal life. It will not be because of anything that you did, and you could never demand a reward for your behavior. WHEN YOU BELIEVED, you received the Gift of God!

If you have never accepted the Word of God and opened the door to your heart and Believed on the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, then you have never been saved and you have not received the Gift of Life! You know what you have done and you know what you believe, so there can be no question about whether you have been Saved by the Grace of God. The Word tells us that today is the day of Salvation, and it can be for you if you just believe! If you want your life to change and you would like to become a new person, with a new heart and eternal life, all you have to do is open the door to your heart and invite the Lord to come in and dwell with you.

That is the "Good News", that has been received and believed by so many. Salvation is not a reward for doing something right, it is a gift from God, WHEN YOU BELIEVED!
