A RIGHTEOUS MAN!

GENESIS 6:9

"Noah was A RIGHTEOUS MAN, the only blameless person living on earth at the time, and he walked in close fellowship with God."

Would God describe yourself as A RIGHTEOUS MAN?   Now that you have surrendered your life to the Lord are you living a blameless life here on earth?  How close is your fellowship and walk with the Lord Jesus Christ?    We need to be objective and review what has changed in our lives since we were Saved by Jesus Christ!  It is obvious to God what you have done, is it also obvious to you?  Are you pure of heart and are you doing the right things in God's sight?

Just like Noah we live in an evil generation.  The evidence surrounds us every day.  X rated movies and pornography abound.  An anything goes attitude, including blatant homosexuality, are examples of the depravity we have descended to.  There is a lack of morality, grace and gentility wherever we look or go.  The important truth for today is that we should remember that just as Noah found himself in the middle of an evil generation, he was still blameless and A RIGHTEOUS MAN!  Noah did not surrender to his surroundings .  Noah remained just and walked in habitual fellowship with God.  How about you?

The Word of God is given to us to inspire us and show examples of Godly men here on earth.  Noah had a positive effect on his whole family and it is something we should learn to emulate!  We can make the choice to have a tangible relationship and close fellowship with God.  We can make it a habit to be just and righteous .  We can strive to be blameless in God's eyes.  When the account of our lives is given at the time of judgement we will find favor with God if we make the right choices in our lives.  Be like Noah.  Be A RIGHTEOUS MAN! 

LIAR, LIAR!

GENESIS 3:4

"You wont die, the serpent replied to the woman."

Who told the first lie in the Bible?  Who is the father of all lies?  Is the devil still lying to us even today?  What exactly was the first lie?  Is that crafty old devil still telling the same lie even today?What is the truth for today that we should learn from the Word of God to prevent our eternal death and joining Satan in Hell?

Satan has tried to question God's Word and authority from the beginning and at all times.  He takes every opportunity to deceive and trick us all.  He will question God's Word in your life and Satan expects you to believe his first and most important lie.  The lie the devil wants you to believe is that YOU WILL NOT DIE!  If you eat of the fruit of this tree, you will surely die!  When Satan asked the woman, surely God did not say that you would die.  He was deceiving her and lying about what God had said.  If you do not accept the Word of God, YOU WILL DIE!

The truth is that unless you embrace the Word of God and accept Him as your Lord and Saviour, YOU WILL DIE!  You are responsible for your choice and what you choose will be the difference between eternal life and eternal damnation.  Satan does not want you to know this.  Satan is lying to people right now, today.  Many believe and are deceived by his lies.  Satan is a LIAR.  Believe the Word of God and ask Him to save you and give you eternal life, instead of death and damnation.  The alternative is to believe the serpent when he said surely you wont die.  LIAR LIAR! 

IN THE BEGINNING!

GENESIS 1:1

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."

If you can accept the first verse in the Bible as truth, then the rest of the Bible will be easy to believe.  You will know and believe that God created the heavens and the earth, and all that is in it.  There is no other plausible, reliable or reasonable explanation for the genesis of the world! There are many wild theories as to how the earth began.  These other theories require more faith than the real truth.  Remember the "big bang theory, that is now in disrepute?  No other explanation tells us how matter got here or  where it came from.  All the other theories are perpetuated to avoid acknowledging and then serving the only True God.  Man has made many other idols and images and substitutes but none of them can ever replace God.  Most of the time these attempts are made to make men God's themselves.  That way they can worship humanism, atheism and agnosticism.  They are pathetic attempts to avoid respecting and knowing and serving the True God.  

Who can create even the most simple thing, such as dirt?  If it was not God then you have to believe that men or some other entity created something from nothing.  In that all the stars and planets, the sun and the moon and every tangible thing to man was spoken into existence by God any other theory will have to have the same ability.  Good luck on what will be an impossible task.  Only God should be worshiped as the creator of the universe.  God is the ruler and His name is Jesus Christ the Lord God. 

Only our God could have prepared , formed and fashioned this creation that we know as earth and all of the heavens above.  The moment that He spoke all this into existence from nothing we call " the beginning".  Even though the world had a beginning, and will have an end, God has neither.  God is eternal.  Even though your life has a beginning and an end, if you accept the free gift of Salvation from the Lord you too will have eternal life.  If  you can accept and believe the truth for today, your eternal life with the Lord will begin.  You must believe God's Word! 

THE LAST WORD!

REVELATION 22:21

"May the grace of the Lord Jesus be with God's Holy people."

Have you ever noticed how some people like to have the last word in any conversation?  No matter how long the conversation goes on or how many topics are covered there is always that last word to be said.  The Bible is so complete and complex that it takes more than a lifetime to digest and understand.  Only God is omniscient and knows it all, we can never be like him.  The question then becomes, what was the last thing that the Lord Jesus placed in His Word?  I believe that it is not an accident that the truth for today was THE LAST WORD!

The final prayer in the Bible begins with a petition that blessing and favor, that is the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, be with all His saints.   The Messiah is praying for His Holy people.  Those of us who have been set apart by Jesus Christ and are exclusively His should be given a full portion of grace, blessing and favor.  Our answer is, may it be so Lord!  The grace of the Lord Jesus be with us all.  Even at the end of His Holy Word the Lord was praying for us and He said it when He also said, "I am coming soon"!

Do you feel like you are being favored by God?  Do you feel like you are receiving God's blessings every day?  Do  you know that you are living by the Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ? 

Are you one of God's Holy people?  If your answer is yes then Amen!  If the answer to the above questions is no, then stop right now and consider your position.  You have made a choice by rejecting or not accepting the gift of Salvation that Jesus Christ has offered you.  You are responsible for your choice.  There are consequences to your choices and one of those is that you will not receive the Grace of Jesus Christ the Lord God.  Who gets THE LAST WORD? 

IS IT OPEN OR CLOSED?

REVELATION 3:7

"This is the message from the one who is Holy and True, the  one who has the key of David.  What He OPENS, no one can close;  and what He CLOSES, no one can open!

The Lord knows all things about you personally.  If you belong to Him then He has opened a door that no one can close.   The door to your heart was opened when you obeyed Him and His word and did not deny Him.  Because you have obeyed and persevered you will be protected and saved and the door to heaven will never be closed to you.  The Key was Jesus and He has opened a door that no one will ever close.  We all remember His words; "behold I stand at the door and knock.  If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in and we will dwell together as friends!"

Conversely when the Lord closes a door, no one can open it.  That should bring about the fear of God that is the beginning of Wisdom.  No one, including yourself or any other human being or so called god can open the door to Heaven.  Do not be fooled.  To be separated from God is to suffer eternal punishment and the second death.  You had many times to make the right choice in your life.  You either choose not to accept the free gift of Salvation from Jesus Christ, or you have made no decision.  Making no decision is the equivalent of rejection of the Lord.  You are either for or against Him.    A no vote or a non vote is not one of acceptance.  

Those who are victorious will sit with the Lord in the throne room.  Anyone who has an ear and hears the Word of God and obeys will be saved from the second death.  Listen to the Spirit of God and try and understand what the truth for today is.  Jesus is asking you a question regarding the door to your heart IS IT OPEN OR CLOSED?

THEY ARE MINE!

REVELATION 3:5

"All who are victorious will be clothed in white.  I will never erase their names from the Book of Life, but I will announce before my Father and His angels that THEY ARE MINE!"

I do not know how you feel, but I personally find great comfort in this truth for today.  This is a promise of the Lord Jesus Christ about how He will treat those of us who hold out to the very end in His name.  That is what it means to be victorious.  You open your heart to Jesus Christ and you invite Him in to dwell with you forever.  You become more like Him every day and you grow in faithfulness and righteousness every year.  You could never leave Jesus because there is no other place you can go to be saved.  Jesus sees everyone like this as worthy and victorious.

What are His promises?  He will be our advocate at the great white throne judgement and He will announce before the Father that we our His.  We will be clothed in white and enter into the heavenly kingdom for eternity.  Our names will be written in the Lambs Book of Life and they can never be erased.  Our sins will be forgiven and forgotten.  We have understood what the Spirit was saying to the churches and to us personally.  We had ears and we have heard the Word of God.  

How about you?  Have you made the commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.  Have you given Him your life and been Saved?  Have you learned His Word and His Commandments.  Have you listened to His prophets and the Lord's Words.  Have you grown in Him?  Or have you walked away from the path to truth and light and Salvation?  Are you walking the straight and narrow path or have you fallen by the wayside?  Remember that the truth for today and the message of the Lord is that He expects you to hold out to the very end.  These are the ones who are victorious and these are the ones that the Lord says, THEY ARE MINE!
