WHO WILL BE THE GREATEST?

MARK 10: 31

"Many who are the greatest now, will be the least important then, and there are those who seem the least important now WHO WILL BE THE GREATEST THEN!"

Cassius Clay, later called Mohamed Ali, said many times, "I am the greatest of all time".
It was not true and he has shown himself to be all too mortal in his latter days. Many Kings or Presidents or Potentates throughout time believed that they were the greatest of all time. Most of them are not known or remembered today. Many scholars, scientists, theologians or self declared brilliant men have thought of themselves as the greatest of all time. What has happened to all of them? They had a place of prominence at one time but they are now dead and gone and mostly forgotten. WHO WILL BE THE GREATEST?

In contrast to the above pretenders there are many who seemed unimportant at the time of their life, but in fact have a place in the kingdom of heaven and are present with the Lord. They have been found to be great in the Lord's eternal kingdom. Many of those who thought they were the greatest, are the least in the kingdom of God, or are not even found there. The test is not what we think of ourselves here on earth, it is what we did for Jesus Christ and our fellow man that will determine how we are seen in the economy of God. Life is not all about you, it is all about the Lord Jesus Christ and His Kingdom. WHO IS THE GREATEST?

The answer to the question, who is the greatest of all time is, JESUS CHRIST THE LORD GOD!
Who alone is Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent? God never makes mistakes and He never fails. He is never is sick or infirm and He never dies. You on the other hand can not say the same thing, ever! You may seem or feel important for a moment in time but you are fallible and you will die. Here is the "good news", you can lose your life for Jesus Christ sake and open your heart and ask Him to come in and Save you. If you are asked, who is the greatest of all time, what will you answer? Without hesitation you should say Jesus Christ is the one ,
WHO WILL BE THE GREATEST!

ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE IF A PERSON BELIEVES!

MARK 9: 23

"Jesus asked, what do you mean if I can? ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE IF A PERSON
BELIEVES!"

Have you ever asked someone to help you? Have you heard them reply to your request; if I can? That leads us to the threshold question everyone must ask themselves. Is the person you are asking is capable of helping you? When it comes to asking a human being the question, you have to realize that they have limitations and so the answer will vary. Sometimes the person you are asking to help you can do it and sometimes it is impossible for them to help. In the One Truth Today we see Jesus being asked to help and those asking, have questioned His ability and power! The Lord is Omnipotent and being all powerful, He points out that He can help anyone, any time. Anything and everything is possible to God and if asked by someone for help ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE IF A PERSON BELIEVES!

The Lord has no limitations and nothing is impossible to Him. The question is not whether or not the Lord can help you, the question is do you believe that Jesus Christ can help you? His ability to respond will be in direct proportion to your believe in Him. Your help may be instantaneous or it may be delayed. Everything is in the Lord's timing. In fact the help may not come here on earth, but in the kingdom of God, in heaven. Jesus will answer you request or prayer and He points our that the issue is not "if I can". All things are possible to God.

In this same scripture, Jesus made the disciples aware that some requests and prayers require prayer and fasting to bring the result. Some prayers may have to be made more than once, for even the Lord prayed the same request three times in the Garden of Gethsemane. We must always pray that the Lord's Will be done. We want the Lord's Will to be done on earth just as it is in heaven. Can the blind see? Can the deaf hear? Can the lame leap for joy? They will all receive the answer to their prayers. The dead will come back to life and overcome death. Jesus Christ answers our prayers and ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE IF A PERSON BELIEVES!

YOUR FAITH MADE YOU WELL!

MARK 5: 34

"Jesus said to her, daughter YOUR FAITH MADE YOU WELL. Go in peace,
your suffering is over."

Are you suffering today? Do you have an illness that is consuming your life? Have you had a lingering illness that you feel will never go away? Have you gone to numerous doctors and spent a great deal of time and money trying to overcome this illness? Has your condition gotten worse instead of better? You need to listen and hear the One Truth Today. Did you know that Jesus Christ is the Great Physician? Did you know that the Lord is the one who can heal you? The Lord is the only one who can heal any sickness and any disease. The Lord is the one who can heal you instantly, in a miraculous manner. The Lord will answer your prayers, if you are one of His children, for a certainty when you enter the eternal kingdom of perfection.
If you have faith in Jesus Christ you will hear him say to you, YOUR FAITH MADE YOU WELL!

All who have suffered with incredible diseases will hear the Lord say to you, go in peace, your suffering is over! If you have endured much and suffered at the hands of doctors without being healed your prayers will be answered. When you have exhausted you time, money and belief
with mere humans, then you should turn to God the Healer and Physician of Man. Seek first the kingdom of God and then everything will be added unto you, including a perfect body and mind. Bring you problems and prayers to the Lord, for in the end He is the only one who will hear you and heal you. Only Jesus can make all of His children that are blind, see, that are deaf, hear and that are lame, dance with joy. Only the Lord can give you knew life, and that eternal in perfection!

We need to learn to take every burden to the Lord. He is the answer to every problem and every question. Your trust and faith in Jesus Christ will make you whole. Only Jesus Christ can end your suffering. While some are touched and healed immediately by their faith, others have to be more patient and will be healed in the life to come. Healing is certain to those who have faith in the Lord. The timing is not certain. This is the "good news", that Jesus Saves and Jesus Heals. You will no longer be subject to death or decay. You new spiritual body will live eternally in perfection. Pray for your healing right now and if you are a child of God your healing is certain. You can hear the Lord saying, son or daughter, go in peace, your suffering is over and YOUR FAITH MADE YOU WELL!

REPENT, TURN TO GOD!

MARK 6 : 12

"So the disciples went out, telling everyone they met to REPENT, of their sins and,
TURN TO GOD!"

What was the message that Jesus gave to His disciples, to go into all the world and tell people?
Was it the same message that was given by John the Baptist? Exactly what is it that everyone is to hear and understand and then put into action? Is this message the same one that is being taken throughout all the world, even today? What happens to the individual that fails to hear or listen to the message? How about you, have you heard the message of the disciples, John the Baptist and the Lord Jesus Christ? REPENT OF YOU SINS AND TURN TO GOD!

Repent means to turn around from the path you are on and take a new direction. Have you turned from the path that leads away from God and has as its destination, eternal damnation?
Have you turned to God for Salvation and new life? Every person needs to hear the message and then to act upon it and become a Hearer of the Word! We are all sinners and we have all come short of the glory of God. We need a Savior who can keep us from dying eternally and give us new and eternal life. This requires a change of mind and direction in life and one which turns to God and His Word. If you turn around and repent you will be going in the direction toward God instead of away from Him. This brings you to the straight and narrow path that leads to life!

If you are a humanist or worship idols or false gods, you will never be given new and eternal life and there is none that can give you hope but Jesus Christ the Lord God. If you are caught up in sins, such as alcoholism, drug addiction, adultery, deviant life styles or any other sin you must stop what you are doing today and turn around. Repent of your sins, and turn your life over to God. Ask for forgiveness of your sins and get on the straight and narrow path that leads to life. Increase in faith and righteousness by walking toward God and learning more and more about Him and His Word. Clean up your life and find peace and eternal happiness instead of death and damnation. That is the message given to the disciples, told by John the Baptist and the "Good News" of Jesus Christ. REPENT AND TURN TO GOD!

GOOD PARENTING!

PSALM 145: 4

"Let each generation tell it's children of your mighty acts; let them proclaim your power!"

Do you have any children? Have you been Saved by the Lord Jesus Christ? Are you being a good parent? If you have received the gift of eternal life by the Mercy of God, then you have an obligation to teach your children of the mighty acts of God and to proclaim His Power! You will remember that the beginning of wisdom was your fear, love, and knowledge of God. It is also the beginning of wisdom for your children and the One Truth Today admonishes you to tell your children about God and His mighty acts and power. Have you told your children about the "good news". The Word is to be passed on from one generation to another and it is the obligation of each to carry the message forward!

You have a responsibility to teach your children that Jesus Saves them from damnation and gives them eternal and new life. You have learned and understood the power of God and now it is up to you to instruct your children in the Word. That is what it means to be a good parent!
Now it is up to you to do what you say. The importance of having GOOD PARENTING can not be underestimated. You teach by your actions as well as your words. Your children will be watching you to see if you do what you say they should do. You are the living example of the power of God and they will see what the Lord can do in their lives by watching you. You can have an effect on your family for generations to come by passing along the Word and Power of God!

To be a good parent, you must be a good person. We know that in this world other than Jesus Christ the Lord God, there is no one who is good, no not one. Because you have received the redemption and mercy of the Lord you can be good. When you become a child of God you can lean on Him and His Word for the manual of life. You can then teach your children the right way to find life and peace. You must show them how they too can have eternal life. We become the living word to our family. Have you done your job? Have you proclaimed the power of the Lord to your children. Have you told them of His might acts? That is what it takes to achieve
GOOD PARENTING!

MY LIFE IS FLEETING!

PSALM 39 : 4

"Lord, remind me how brief my time on earth will be! Remind me that my days
are numbered, and how MY LIFE IS FLEETING!"

When we are young we may think that we will liver forever. Death is often never a reality until we approach the end. Have you faced that fact that you had a birth, and you will have a death?
The ratio is absolute, one death for every birth. When we start our own family we think that time is always on our side and that it will never end. As senior citizens we start to realize that life is not forever. Too many of those we knew and loved have all ready passed on. David is reminding us of this One Truth Today. The Lord tells us in this Psalm that our time on earth is brief. We are told that our days are numbered and in perspective to eternity MY LIFE IS FLEETING! We are here today and gone tomorrow like a flower or a blade of grass.

Our entire life is like a breath in God's world. That is why we are admonished to get a proper perspective as we go through this life. We are Pilgrims just passing through. We are going to a home that is eternal, but this is just temporary. This is not our final destination. We can rush through this life and try to accumulate wealth and possessions but it will all be for naught. Others will spend your wealth and just as you came into this life with nothing, you will leave the same way. Remind us Lord that our days are numbered and MY LIFE IS FLEETING!

The "good news" is there is a real hope and a future as a child of God. Jesus Christ will Save you from death and give you a new and eternal life. Our spiritual life has no end and our soul will spend eternity in one of two locations. You can spend eternity with God in Heaven, or you can spend eternity separated from God and in damnation. If you believe on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and accept Him into your heart, you will be Saved. Guard against thinking that this life, your life, is forever here on earth. Without new life and being reborn you will not see eternal life. Too many have found out that life can end in an instant. The facts are all around you, every day. For all of us, our time on the earth is brief and our days are numbered!
Lord continually remind me that MY LIFE IS FLEETING! Lord Save us!

SHEEP WITHOUT A SHEPHERD!

MARK 6 : 34

"Jesus had compassion on them because they were like SHEEP WITHOUT A
SHEPHERD!"

Every flock of sheep needs a shepherd. Left to their own devices the sheep are not very bright
and can make terrible and life threatening decisions. Sheep need someone to lead them to green pastures and still, refreshing water. They need someone to protect them from the ravenous wolves of this world. Sheep have a tendency to wander apart from one another and become more vulnerable. They can be picked off one by one, when alone. We are just like sheep and we most certainly need a Shepherd. Who protects you and your family? Who is your Shepherd? Jesus Christ the Lord God has compassion on us because so often we are like SHEEP WITHOUT A SHEPHERD!

There is order in the Lord and in His church. He has ordained a church government that supplies us with a Shepherd or Pastor to watch over us and to keep us together and safe from harm. There is a direct link between the Lord and those He allows to be His Shepherds, pastors and bishops. They are ordained to take care of His sheep and keep them safe from the world. These Shepherds are the door to His sanctuary and they have a grave responsibility to the Lord and the sheep. The Shepherd and the church are what helps keeps us from going astray and falling prey to the wolves. If we do not have a pastor or Shepherd then we become like those SHEEP WITHOUT A SHEPHERD, vulnerable to the enemy!

If you are alone, or in a church without an ordained Shepherd of God, you are in grave danger.
You will not be lead to greener pastures and still refreshing waters. You could receive strange food or liquids, and you will get sick and even die. If you want the rivers of living water there is only one Shepherd that can lead you there. That is the only way that you can satisfy your thirst!
Without a Shepherd you could end up at a poisoned well that will kill you. You will definitely get lost and be in great danger. That is why the Lord will have compassion on you, because you
are like a sheep without a shepherd. Ask God to Save you and lead you to the right Shepherd!
If the Lord is your Shepherd you will have all that you need. The alternative is to be like
SHEEP WITHOUT A SHEPHERD!
