MATTHEW 15: 10-11
"Listen, Jesus said, and try to understand. It is not what goes into your mouth that defiles you; YOU ARE DEFILED BY THE WORDS THAT COME OUT OF YOUR MOUTH!"
There have been all kinds of prohibitions about what certain religious sects can eat. The Lord and the One Truth Today points out that it is not what you eat that defiles you! It is the words that come out of you mouth that defile you! Whether you eat meat on a certain day, or at all, is not important to God. Is it kosher, is not the issure with the Lord. Should we be vegans and vegitarians or carnivors? Does this sea product have scales or this animal have hoofs? The Lord is trying to help us understand that food products do not defile us, it is what we think and what we say that defiles us! Out of the abundance of the heart and mind, the mouth speaks. YOU ARE DEFILED BY THE WORDS THAT COME OUT OF YOUR MOUTH!
You are not going to be defiled and unclean in the sight of God by what you let enter your mouth.
It all ends up the same way, as refuse that leaves your body. What really matters is what is in your heart and mind and that is demonstrated by what you say. You will either spit seeds and bring forth blessings or curses from your mouth. Your words will defile you and make you unclean. This may offend the traditions of many religious leaders, but their rules do not represent the New Testament and the Word of God. They are self imposed rules and they do not represent the Word of the Lord. If you have ears, then listen!
We should disregard all false doctrines and try to live and understand the Word of God and His Tuths. We need to learn not to follow blind quides and teachers because we too could fall into the ditch. The real message here is that we are to be careful what comes out of our mouth. Do your words bless or defile you? Is you heart and mind pure or unclean. Our words are seeds that we plant and then later we have to live on the harvest of those words. Try to understand it is not what goes into your mouth that defiles you, but the words that come out of your mouth.
You choose the words and the choices have consequences and bear fruit in the future. If you want to be clean and undefiled then choose your words carefully. If you want to honor God and yourself , make your words clean and undefiled!

UNBELIEF!
MATTHEW 13: 57-58
"A prophet is honored everywhere except in his own hometown and among his own family. So Jesus did only a few miracles there because of their UNBELIEF!"
What effect would unbelief have on a miracle in your life? According to the One Truth Today it would have an immediate and dramatic effect. Sometimes we fail to give respect and honor to those who are close to us. How do you treat those who pray for you? Do you treat your family and Church members any differently than those that come from outside your circle? Here the prophet is honored everywhere except in his own hometown and among his own family. The cause of the limited miracles is their unbelief. If you do not give honor and respect to the Lord Jesus Christ then your choice is a limiting factor in what He can do for you. They say familiarity breeds contempt and that in turn leads to unbelief. If you question the power and ability of the one that could perform a miracle for you it may be because of your UNBELIEF!
Those in Jesus hometown knew He was the carpenters son and they knew His father and mother and His sisters and brothers. Due to their familiarity they had a different feeling about the Lord and His abilities. They knew that He had performed miracles but because of their unbelief they limited what the Lord was capable of doing for them. They made a choice of what to believe and what to expect and that limited the miracles in their hometown and in His own family. How do you see the Lord, are there any limits on His power or ability to perform miracles?
What we need to learn from the scripture today is that we can limit the power and praying ability of those closest to us if we diminish them in our sight and lack sufficient belief in their being an instrument of the power of God. If a Pastor, prophet, or Sheppard is raised up among you then you need to honor and respect them. We must not ridicule or scoff at their ability, just because we are very familiar with them. It is not up to us to question God or His methods. We must try and avoid the same mistake as those of the Lord's home town, UNBELIEF! Do not miss a miracle in your life or the life of someone you love because you limited the power of God!

SEE, LISTEN, UNDERSTAND!
MATTHEW 13: 13
"For they look, but they do not really SEE. They hear, but they do not really
LISTEN, or UNDERSTAND!"
The prophecy of Isaiah was fulfilled when Jesus spoke in parables to the crowds. Those who were not listening carefully had what little they understood taken away from them. As Isaiah
said, you shall hear but never grasp or understand. You shall look but never see or perceive.
Matthew tells us the same thing in our One Truth Today. The Lord said, "whoever has ears to hear, let them listen and consider", "Let them perceive and comprehend by hearing". There is a big difference between hearing and listening, between looking and seeing. Those who believe Jesus Christ is the Lord God, can see him and they listen to His Words. Non believer's can not see or hear the Lord because "they look, but they do not really see, they hear but they do not really listen, and they do not understand"!
Do you really listen when you hear someone speak to you? Do you try to comprehend and understand what that person is saying to you? You have to truly consider and try to grasp what anyone is saying to you. It is not enough to just hear them speak. It takes your attention to hear, whoever has ears, let him hear. We all have a responsibility to pay attention and care when someone is talking to us. You should be able to repeat back what was said and give an explanation and comprehend what was said. This will prove that you have both listened and you do understand!
Just because we look at something with our eyes does not mean we have really seen it. Just because something is brought to your attention does not mean that you senses will be able to digest and understand it. Just because you hear something does not mean you have heard and understood it. The big difference is you and the attention that you give to the matter at hand. Are you trying and do you give your full attention? Do you look for the little details, do you listen for the nuances in the words spoken to you? In the case of the Lord your eternal life is on the line and your eternal destination will be dependent on whether you SEE, LISTEN, UNDERSTAND! We pray that today you will pay attention and you will be able to hear, see and then understand the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

HIS POWER IS ABSOLUTE!
PSALM 147: 5
"How great is our Lord! HIS POWER IS ABSOLUTE! His understanding is beyond comprehension!"
You may have been told that there are no absolutes. That is a lie, one the devil is promoting because it undermines belief in God. If there are no absolutes, or no God, then anyone can do whatever they want with no consequence. By the way, would it be an absolute to believe that there are no absolutes? The reason that the devil and non believer's promote the idea that there are no absolutes is so they can do anything they want without any consequence. The second part of the One Truth Today is that His understanding is beyond our comprehension. That means that without faith in the Lord Jesus Christ it would be impossible to learn and understand even the concept of infinite and absolute. If you Know, Love, and Fear God you will know that it is true, HIS POWER IS ABSOLUTE!
We each have a choice to believe in God and to believe that He is Absolute. We could believe men but when compared to the knowledge and wisdom of God that is not a difficult decision. Man's understanding is limited and is exhausted by human frailty and death. It is easy to conclude that man is not capable of comprehending and understanding anything that is infinite and absolute. What we can believe is the Word of God. His ways and His mind are not ours and they are beyond our reasoning. Man is limited, God is not. I choose to have faith and believe the Word of God over the speculation of men.
No man or collection of men could ever place the stars in the sky. No man or collection of men could create the heavens and the earth. The power that accomplished all that is by design one that is absolute. Men can not ever produce dirt from nothing let alone a universe. We must thank the Lord that He left us an explanation in His Word that we can believe and rely on. The Bible is a glimpse into glory and our future with the Lord. It tells us how much He loves us and we get a taste of the time to come. Worship God, Know God, HIS POWER IS ABSOLUTE!

A GOOD HEART!
MATTHEW 12: 35
"A good person produces good things from the treasury of A GOOD HEART, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart."
The Word of God tells us that out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. The One Truth Today points out that good people, out of the treasury of their good heart produce good things. Are "good things" coming out of your mouth, and your heart? If evil things are constantly coming out of your mouth and your heart, you should be on notice that you are in need of a change! Your words are seeds that you plant in your life and they grow and you will eat the crop. How will your seeds develop and what will your seeds produce? Anyone will be able to tell where you heart is by what you say. What will others hear when they listen to you, will it be an evil heart or A GOOD HEART?
The Bible tells us that at the day of judgement we will have to give account for everything we have said and thought. We will be justified and acquitted by our words and our heart, or we will be condemned and found guilty based on what we said, or did not say, and what was in our hearts!
If your words come out of the abundance of A GOOD HEART, it will mean that you have accepted the Lord into your life and that you have become a new person who rejects sin. Remember that the Lord stands at the door to our hearts and knocks to come in and dwell with each of us. We have to confess with our tongue and believe in our heart the Jesus Christ is the Lord God. Anyone who opens the door to their heart and allows the Lord to come in will have the Holy Spirit dwelling within them and that will lead to A GOOD HEART!
A good tree brings forth good fruit. A bad tree brings forth bad or evil fruit. A person is like a fruit tree, and you will be known by your fruit. The only way you can become a "good person", with a good heart is to be a child of God. The Lord will give you a new heart and a new life and instead of sin it will be filled with a yearning to be more like Jesus Christ. The words that you spoke as a sinful man, to invite the Lord into your life, will also be heard at the time of judgement and they will Save you from your sin. You will want to put away evil things in your life and in place of them you will desire good things and good fruit. That is how you will end up with your

COME AND REST!
MATTHEW 11: 28
"COME to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, I will give you
REST."
Are you tired? Are you weary? Do you feel like you have been given a heavy burden to carry
through this life? Are you working hard and not getting the satisfaction and results you should?
Is your yoke a heavy one? If you are having any of these feelings then you need to learn the One Truth Today! Jesus Christ the Lord God is asking you to "COME to me". Once more, He has promised to give you REST! Would you like a good long rest that would refresh your soul?
If you feel like you are in the whirlwind of life and you are getting no where, then this is your call
to rest and peace. If you spend each day trying to catch up to yesterday and are anxious about
tomorrow then there is Hope and the answer is Jesus Christ. There is an answer and it is yours for the asking. COME AND REST!
When you hear that still small voice calling to you, listen to the Lord, for He has the answer to every problem and every question. Bring your burdens to the Cross of the Lord and lay it down there. Give your burdens to the only one who can carry them all. If you become yoked to the Lord your burdens become light and your load will be easy. Jesus will do the heavy pulling.
If you are on a team with the Lord, you will never be weary and never be beaten. The Lord will refresh your soul. You have an important part to play if you want results. You must let go of all your burdens and lay them down at His feet. Let go and let God take over. The Lord is humble of heart and meek and gentle, so you must choose to give your burdens to Him so that you will no longer be weary. COME AND REST!
If we take the yoke of the Lord upon us we will discover how powerful and strong He is. The Lord never fails. With the Lord there is no burden that is too heavy or too hard! When you are yoked with the Lord all burdens become light and pleasant, and easy to bear. Because He does the heavy lifting we find our tasks are now acceptable. The Lord is calling out to all people and the message is clear. COME AND REST! If you want that peace in your life, give your heart to the Lord today and pray for His blessings. Today is the day of Salvation and your day of Rest!

CALLING ALL SINNERS!
MATTHEW 9: 13
"For I have not come to CALL those who think they are righteous, but those who
know they are SINNERS!
Do you know that you are a sinner? Do you think that you are righteous? The Word of God tells us that "No one is good, no not one". Whether you know it or not, you are a sinner, and you need a Saviour. It does not help if you think that you are a "good person", there are none! We all need to repent of our sins and accept God's forgiveness and mercy. We need to become a new person, one that attempts to be more and more like Jesus Christ. We need to stop committing the same sins, over and over. As a new child of God we need to listen and learn and put into action the Word of the Lord. That is how we obtain right standing with the Lord. If you know that you are a sinner and need a Saviour, the Lord has come to call you right now!
Jesus Christ the Lord God is reaching out to everyone right now. The Lord does not want anyone to be Lost. He has chosen everyone, and it is His desire that everyone choose Him! Jesus invites everyone to come and follow Him, and to Learn the Word of the Lord. He wants you to turn around from your unrighteous ways and to come to a knowledge of the Truth. We have all come short of the glory of God and it will only be as a result of His Grace and Mercy that we can become righteous. We have to have Faith in God! Jesus Christ is CALLING ALL SINNERS! Are you listening?
The Lord wants to have mercy on all of us. He wants to take our burdens and sins and He has all ready payed the price for all of our transgressions. We are like lost sheep who have all gone astray and we are in need of a Pastor. He is calling out to us and we have a choice to listen and obey, or we can ignore the call and stay lost. You need to turn around from the path that you are on and make a straight path to the Lord. He will make us a new clean person and will save and protect us forever. If you think that you are without sin and a good person, then you may not hear His voice. When you come to a knowledge that you are a sinner and need a Saviour, then you will be able to hear His voice. He is CALLING ALL SINNERS!
