May I see your passport please? What is your home country? Where are you a citizen? At the moment we will have to produce our passport if we wish to travel around the world. It will say that you are a citizen of a particular country. Many of us are proud to be citizens of the United States of America. The One Truth Today is to point out that no matter what country you have a passport to, at the moment, this is not your true home or your true residence. Our true final destination and our true home is not here but in heaven. We are CITIZENS OF HEAVEN! Believer's know that they are pilgrims, merely passing through this world and we have a different home that that we long for and where we will spend eternity. We may have a temporary passport for a country here on earth but heaven is our home!
Knowing that we are CITIZENS OF HEAVEN, we must conduct ourselves in such a manner that we are worthy of the Good News of Jesus Christ. We are to be different from those who do not have their passport to heaven. You should stand out and above the unbeliever, who believes that the world is their final destination. We are to stand firm and and united in the Holy Spirit as we make the journey through this world and this life. We are of one mind and of one faith and that we hold on to until the very end of this life. Are you acting in a manner worthy of the Lord? Do you know that life on earth is momentary and that eternal life is our final destination?
Believer's should all have two passports, one for the country we live in at the present and one that confirms that we are CITIZENS OF HEAVEN. The Holy Spirit is our passport and His presence in our hearts confirms we are children of God. So many are caught up in this life that they fail to look up, where their redemption will come from. They tend to cling to this life as though that is all there is. They fail to realize that they entered the earth with nothing and they will depart with nothing but their eternal soul. Now the question of your passport is vital and determines your final location. If you do not have a passport to heaven then you will never be able to enter the Kingdom of God. If you do not want to be rejected, then accept the free gift of eternal life from Jesus Christ and you will receive your passport and be a CITIZEN OF HEAVEN!
