THINK ABOUT THESE THINGS!

PHILIPPIANS 4: 8

"Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely and admirable.  THINK ABOUT THESE THINGS that are excellent and worthy of praise."

Did you know that your mind can only hold and think about one thought at a time?  Do you realize that you are in control of each thought?  Only you can control what thought is in your mind at any given time!  The above statements are true and that means that you are in control of and responsible for what thoughts are in your mind at any given time!  You can fix your mind and choose what to think about.  You are responsible for your choices.  That is what free will is all about.  That is why you will be responsible for the consequences of your choices!  The One Truth Today gives you the best advice you will ever receive.  This is the difference between being happy and successful and being depressed and a failure.   As a man thinks in his heart and mind, so is he!

Do you know someone who always thinks the worst about everything?  They seem to accept what is false and dishonorable, wrong and impure, ugly and never admirable.  They never think about things that are praiseworthy and excellent.  In short, they see the negative side of life at the expense of the positive.  They can tell you what is wrong with everyone and everything but they are incapable of telling anyone what is right.  These are the people that you hate to be around because they always see the dark side of everything and will tell you even when you do not want to hear it.   They have their thoughts fixed, but always on the negative aspects of life!

Descartes the French poet said it this way, "I think, therefore I am".  You are what you think!

What should you think about!  THINK ABOUT THESE THINGS!  Fix your mind on thoughts of truth, not lies.  Look for and search out what is right and admirable.    Avoid what is false and wrong in God's sight.  Stay away from what is dishonorable.  If there is something lovely and praiseworthy let your mind and thoughts go there.  Do not get caught up in the ugly side of man's nature.  Do not read or view pornography.  Avoid R rated anything and stick with G.  Do not surround yourself with anything that curses and profanes the Lord.  Pick friends that are of like mind with you and love the Lord.  Fix your thoughts on what is true, honorable,right, pure,lovely and admirable.  Think about things that are excellent in God's eyes and worthy of His Praise.  Your choice, your thoughts, your consequences.    

NO ONE IS GOOD, NO ONE IS WITHOUT SIN!

JEREMIAH 2: 35

"You say, I have done nothing wrong.   Surely God is not angry with me.  God says, now I will punish you severely because you claim you have not sinned."

How many time have you had someone tell you that they are a "Good Person"?   How many have asked you why do bad things happen to "Good People"?  There are so many people who do not think that they have done anything wrong in God's sight.  They think that surely God will not be angry with me or punish me.  The One Truth Today is a warning to everyone.  No one is good, no not one!  Those are the Words from the Lord.  Be careful that you never claim that you are not a sinner and have never sinned!  This lie separates you from God and His Mercy and Salvation.  The best example to explain this concept is when Jesus said to a crowd of people about to stone an adulterous women, "let him who has no sin, cast the first stone".  They all left one at a time until no one was left to condemn the adulterous women.  Every one of them knew that they had sinned and were no different then the adulterous women!

Psalm 14 and 53 tell us that "No one is good, no not one".  The Lord said in Matthew, Mark and Luke that, "No one is good, but one, and that is God".  In Romans 3-23 we learn that "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God".  Unless you believe you are not included in the group of "all", who have sinned or you do not think you should be considered when the Lord tells us "No one" is good, no not one, then that includes you.  Incidentally if you think you are not included in the above groups you are a liar and a sinner, sorry! The only one who has not sinned and is "Good" is God, do you think you are equal to God? If you do, you have a bigger and more urgent problem!

The important Truth to grasp here is that we are all sinners and none of us are "Good".  If you say you have done nothing wrong, you deserve to be punished severely by God, because you claim you have never sinned!  That will make God angry with you because you believe you are equal to God.  We must not kid ourselves or others, we are all sinners.  As with all sin you can repent, confess and ask the forgiveness of God.  God will forgive you and cover your sin with His Mercy.  He forgave the adulterous women and told her to go and sin no more!  He will forgive your sin and tell you to turn around from your sinful ways and do it no more!  That is the "Good News", Jesus Saves us from our sin!  You need a Saviour, NO ONE GOOD, NO ONE IS WITHOUT SIN!

WHEN DID GOD FIRST KNOW YOU?

JEREMIAH 1: 5

"I KNEW YOU BEFORE I FORMED YOU IN YOUR MOTHER'S WOMB.  Before you were born I set you apart."

Have you ever felt like nobody really knows you?  Have you ever felt isolated and set apart from your family and friends?  Does anyone really understand you and what you think and believe. How many people have come and gone in your life and did they ever really know you? How many friends have you had that are now just a memory?  Is there anything stable and constant in  your life?  Is there something that you can always depend on and find comfort in during your life?  The One Truth Today has the answer for you.  You were set apart before you were born and before you were formed in your mother's womb, God knew you!

God tells us in Jeremiah that He knew us before we became a physical reality in our mother's womb.  The conclusion is that God knew us before the moment of our conception.  He has known us spiritually from the beginning of time and before we became a physical entity.  Our spiritual component was known to God before our physical and earthly flesh was conceived and formed.  God sees each one of us as a separate and unique individual being.  So much for the pro-abortionists who insist they are only removing a blob of tissue from the mother's womb! That blob of tissue has a spirit and an individual physical life.  God knows the truth . Abortionists take a life, one that was known from the beginning of time and set apart by the Lord.  What do you think the reaction of God will be to those who interrupt His Will?

As with any sin, if you have been connected to an abortion in any way, REPENT AND CONFESS YOUR SIN TO GOD RIGHT NOW!  ASK FOR HIS FORGIVENESS!  BEG FOR HIS MERCY AND SALVATION.  If we sincerely confess our sins, the Lord is faithful to forgive us.   He will have mercy on you and save your life.  If you do not confess your sins sincerely, there will be consequences to your actions.  You will be rejecting the mercy of God and you will be separated from Him.  God loves us even though we are sinners, and that applies to you.  When did God first know you?  I KNEW YOU BEFORE I FORMED YOU IN YOUR MOTHERS WOMB. BEFORE YOU WERE BORN I SET YOU APART!  God will be with you till the end of time!

WHO MADE THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH?

ISAIAH 66: 2

"My hands have made both heaven and earth;  they and everything in them are mine.  I, the Lord have spoken."

From the beginning of time men have asked this same question; Who made the heavens and the earth?  Little children as well as intellectuals and scientists have sought the answer and have proposed many theories.  There can be only one right answer to the question;  How did we get here?  Who made all of the heavens and the earth?  One thing is for certain, it will never be the one who asks the question.  No man or collection of men could bring this world into existence!

A power greater then ourselves and one that may be difficult to conceive and believe was responsible for our existence.  The One Truth Today contains the simple and irrefutable truth!

The Lord has spoken and He tells us that, "my hands have made both heaven and earth;  they and everything in them are mine!  There may be a number of ridiculous and abandoned ideas of how the earth came into existence but there is only one answer.  God made the heavens and the earth!

The Lord has said that, "heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool".  What kind of a house can man build for me to be my resting place, asks the Lord.  Men could never duplicate anything God has made, including they can not make something out of nothing, such as dirt, let alone a Universe.  So what about all the theories and explanations that have come forth from the mind of man?  All of them have one thing in common, they exclude God, and as a result are the wrong answer.  If man can prove there is no God then they can be god.  If they are right then they can do anything that they want or desire.  This is known as humanism and is the prevalent religion of our day.  The words of these hypocrites is an abomination to God.  People who believe this lie will suffer eternal death and damnation.  

We all have a choice to believe or not believe the Word of God.  If you believe in God and His Word then the answers to life's difficult questions are right there for you to know and understand.  If you choose to reject God and His Word the results are predictable.  You will entertain any outrageous theory that man can develop.  The result will be a "Big Bang" for your future.  God has regard for the man who is humble, with a broken spirit, and who trembles at His Word, and reveres His commands.  In fact the beginning of wisdom is the fear and knowledge of God.  If you want to know who made the heavens and the earth, GOD MADE THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH AND EVERYTHING IN THEM ARE HIS!  That includes you!

 

 

WHO DO YOU RELY ON!

PHILIPPIANS 3: 3

"We rely on what Jesus Christ has done for us.  We put no confidence in human effort."

Who do you rely on when the chips are down and the rubber meets the road?  Do you rely on yourself and your own abilities?  Do you rely on your parents or family?  Do you rely on the government or another authority?  Who do you turn to for help and the answers to life's questions? The One Truth Today has the correct answer to your questions!  If you are relying on anyone who is made of flesh you are in for quite a disappointment.  Human efforts are going to fail and you will be at a loss if your reliance is in a man.  If you want to be saved from your dilemma or find the answer to your questions, turn to the only one who has the answers.  RELY ON WHAT JESUS CHRIST HAS DONE FOR YOU!   Jesus Christ is the only one who can save you!

True believer's and follower's of Jesus Christ, put no confidence and never depend on anyone of flesh to Save them.  Their is no outward privilege, external appearance, or physical advantage that would allow us to depend on ourselves or any other human being.  Our flesh, like our lives, is fleeting and deteriorating and the end is inevitable death.  We like the world will come to an end and then we will have our moment of truth.  It does not matter what you believe or think, the truth is you can never save yourself or anyone else.  We could never rely on our human efforts, we can only RELY ON WHAT JESUS CHRIST HAS DONE FOR YOU!

As Christians we worship Jesus Christ the Lord God in Spirit.  It is by the Spirit of God that we will be saved.  We need to exult and extend glory to God and never put pride in ourselves or our abilities.  If you want to rejoice in something, rejoice in the Lord and His plan for your life.  The Saviour, Jesus Christ, is not subject to the flesh or death.  That is why you can rely on Him and His promise to you.  The place to have confidence is in the Good News of Jesus Christ.  We are assured by what He has all ready done for us.  We are not waiting for something to happen, it has all ready happened.  RELY ON WHAT JESUS CHRIST HAS DONE FOR YOU!   

GOD IS WITH US!

MATTHEW 1: 23

"Look the Virgin will conceive a child!  She will give birth to a son, and they will call Him Immanuel, which means GOD IS WITH US!"

The One Truth Today is perhaps the most important statement in the world!  GOD IS WITH US! The God who made the universe and everything in it came to earth in the form of Jesus Christ the Lord God.  Our God became human and was born into this world as the child of a Virgin.  What was the name given to Him?  Immanuel, which means GOD IS WITH US!  If we can grasp  hold to the awesome power of this truth we will become true believer's.  It will require the help of the Holy Spirit, who enters us and resides in us.  The Spirit is the promise of God to help us find the truth that will set us free!  We may never be able to completely understand God and His plan, but, we know that Jesus Christ the Lord God was born to save us.  When He appeared it meant that GOD IS WITH US!

Have you grasped the importance of the above truth?  That means that not only did God appear here on earth, it means that He is here with us now!  God is with us right now!  Not only that but He also promised to never leave us or forsake us!  If you believe in Jesus Christ the Lord God you will be saved and given eternal life.  The Lord will be right beside you throughout your entire life and He will Save you from death and give you new life.  It is almost to much to grasp and understand.  It requires faith to believe and accept the Good News, but it will be rewarded!

GOD IS WITH US - RIGHT NOW!

Mary became with child as a result of the Spirit coming upon her.  She was a Virgin and thus the prophecies of the Lord were fulfilled.  She conceived and gave birth to a son.  They named Him Immanuel, because He embodied the fact that GOD IS WITH US!  This is so well documented and witnessed that it is without contradiction.  Can you imagine holding the little baby Jesus in your arms?  You would be holding the God of the universe.  All those who knew Him, worshiped Him and the same is true for today.  We should fall down at His feet and seek His wisdom.  We should present Him with the only gift that we can give Him, our lives!  You do not have to go anywhere, GOD IS WITH US!   

GIVE ME THE RIGHT WORDS!

EPHESIANS 6: 19

"Pray for me.  Ask God to GIVE ME THE RIGHT WORDS so I can boldly explain God's mysterious plan, that the Good News is for Jews and Gentiles alike."

Have you ever been frustrated about your ability to explain God's Good News?  Are you afraid to share the plan of God that is available for every ones life?  Jesus Saves, is such a simple concept, yet it can become so complicated when we try to apply and impart it to others.  We as believers' have a heart for others who have not shared in the mercy and salvation of the Lord.  We do not want to see those we love and care about suffer eternal death and damnation.  We fear for those who do not know God.  We know that God has the power over life and death and we want others to share in His Glory.  We do not like the idea of being in heaven and not spending eternity with those we love the most.  The stakes are high and the One Truth Today is a prayer that God will give us the right words to boldly explain His Good News.

May the Lord hear and answer our prayer so that we will have the freedom to open our mouths and utter and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  We have Good News to share and we have solved the mystery of life and why we are here.  We know of the Lord's plan, from the beginning, to save all those who would believe in Him.  We need to be fearless in telling others of the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ the Lord God.  Even though at times it may be intimidating and frightening, we must call on the Holy Spirit to help us and ask that He GIVE ME THE RIGHT WORDS!

Are you ready to explain the Good News to others?  Do you know the mysterious plan of God to save Jews and Gentiles alike?  Have you prepared yourself and internalized the knowledge that is needed to speak with boldness and without fear about the Good News?  Can you answer the questions that inevitably come from non believer's?  Why was I born.  Why am I here?  If God is a good God then why does He allow bad things to happen.   Why do bad things happen to good people.  If you can not answer these questions then pray that God will GIVE ME THE RIGHT WORDS and at the right time.  The day of Salvation is today and we need to have an answer for everyone who asks a question.  Pray for boldness, pray for the right words, pray that you can share the Good News to anyone who asks.
