THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD, JESUS CHRIST!

TIMOTHY 2: 5

"THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD  and mediator who can reconcile God and humanity, the man JESUS CHRIST" 

When someone told Jesus Christ that He was good, the Lord answered;  "why do you call me good, there is only one that is good and that is God."  Even though Jesus was a man, He was telling the world that He was a mediator who could reconcile God and man.  Jesus was telling us that there is only one God and that He was indeed God.  We worship and serve a God who wishes that all men could be saved.  He is not the God of just a select group but is open and available to all men.  Jesus Christ wants everyone to recognize, discern, perceive and know the divine truth that He is God.  He is also the mediator between man and God.  He gave Himself as a ransom for all people, at fact that is attested to over and over in the Word.  Did you get the message?  

Throughout history men have worshiped the sun, moon, stars, and planets in the heavens.  Men have worshiped idols, monkeys and all kinds of animals.  They have worshiped many who are now dead.  I guess they where not God!  It would appear that there is no limit to the ideas and philosophies that man is willing to consider.  If you worship any other God than Jesus Christ then you are worshiping something that is a dead God or inanimate God.  THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD, JESUS CHRIST!

That is the One Truth Today that was given to us by the Word.  It is to confirm that our Lord and Saviour is the Man and the God, Jesus Christ.  Jesus offers intercessory prayers and petitions on behalf of all men who are obedient and righteous.  That is why Jesus is the only one who can save you.  He is not interested in your race, country, family, sex or position in life.  You can speak directly to Him and He will hear your prayers and petitions.  The truth is that there is no one god who is accepted by everyone.  In fact many are lead astray by a lie and what is untrue.  If you have not asked Jesus Christ to enter your heart and believed in Him then you are not worshiping the true God.  THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD, JESUS CHRIST!

CALLING ALL SINNERS!

1 TIMOTHY 1: 15

"This is a trustworthy saying, and everyone should accept it:  Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners and I am the worst of all of them."

This One Truth Today is all about you.  Do you know that you are a sinner?  The Word teaches us that everyone has sinned and come short of the Glory of God.  Everyone would include each of us. No one is good or the same as God, no not one.  If we are all sinners, are there some sins that are so bad that that person could never be saved by the Lord?  Are your sins so evil and heinous that God could never forgive you?  In this scripture Paul confessed that he had broken God's laws and been rebellious and had even defiled that which was Holy.  Jesus Christ had mercy on Paul because he did it in ignorance and unbelief.  No matter what we have done  He will have mercy on us and save us from our sins if we will believe in Him and accept his Salvation. 

Do  you think you are the worst sinner of all time?  Do you believe that after what you have done you could never be forgiven?  Do you now realize that you have broken God's laws and that you have separated yourself from the Lord?  Paul's message is that even if you are the worst sinner of all time, Jesus Christ came into this world to save you!  This is a trustworthy message from God.  Jesus can save all sinners.  You must acknowledge that you are a sinner and that you need a Saviour.  Open the door to your heart and let Jesus Christ come in and dwell with you and accept His free gift of eternal life.  You can not save yourself, that is why Jesus came into the world.  

Paul is used as an example of a sinner, but the same truth applies to all of us.  It is a given that we have all sinned.  It is a given that we all need to be forgiven and shown mercy for our evil deeds.  When the Lord shows you mercy He displays His long suffering, patience and unconditional love.    The greater the example of the sinner who comes to the Lord the greater the glory that comes to God.  It should be an encouragement to everyone when we see the examples of sinners who are now God fearing and righteous people.  The Lord came to save them and He came to save you from your sin.  Can you hear Him?  CALLING ALL SINNERS!

A PURE HEART, A CLEAR CONSCIENCE, A GENUINE FAITH!

1 TIMOTHY 1: 5

"All believer's should be filled with love that comes from A PURE HEART, A CLEAR CONSCIENCE, AND A GENUINE FAITH!"

What is the purpose of this scripture and what is that we are to learn?  Are you a believer, then one of the results will be that you are someone who is filled with Love.  When we accept Jesus Christ into our lives we become a new person with a new heart.  Now that we have a pure heart that contains the spirit of God, and a genuine faith that does not waiver we will also have a clear conscience that gives us the peace that passes understanding.  Do you demonstrate this kind of love to one another?  We are to be filled with love, does that describe you?

We are to avoid things that will not help us in a life of faith.  We are to stop listening to anyone who teaches what is contrary to the Lord's Word and Truth.  We are to avoid endless discussions about myths and spiritual pedigrees.  Do not give importance to endless genealogies, fables or mere speculations that teach a different doctrine than God's Truth.  Many have missed the mark and wandered into vain repetitions, discussions and arguments.  If you are confronted by someone who is not filled with love, but is instead argumentative and teaching a false doctrine, walk away!

The purpose of Godly instruction is that you will be filled with the Love of God and become more Christ like.  You are to be filled with unconditional love just as Jesus Christ was.  Where does this love come from?  A PURE HEART, A CLEAR CONSCIENCE, A GENUINE FAITH!  Give thanks to the Lord if  your church is leading you on this path.  Praise God that He gave us His Word to bring us Wisdom.  Ask the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you on you path that leads straight to the Lord.  All believer's should be filled with Love, are you?

GOD'S WILL FOR YOU!

THESSALONIANS 5:16-17-18

"Always be joyful.  Never stop praying.  Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is GOD'S WILL FOR YOU who belong to Jesus Christ."

Are you always joyful?  Do you pray without ceasing?  Are you thankful to God no matter what the circumstances are in  your life?  A lot of us will have to answer no to these questions.  Still, we all want to know what is God's will for our lives!  How can we be in God's will every day?  The closer you live like the One Truth Today in our scripture, the closer you can come to God's will for  your life.  We need to commit to rejoice in the Lord always and to be joyful.  We need to make it a habit to never stop praying and look to the Lord for everything.  We need to give thanks to God for all he has given us and done for us.  Do you belong to Jesus Christ or not?

We should be happy and joyful in our faith.  Do not forget we were each lost in our sins and dead eternally until the Lord Jesus Christ saved us and gave us eternal and perfect life in heaven.  This is the gift that keeps on giving.  This is the reason we should always be joyful, never stop praying and remember to be thankful in all circumstances, not just in the good times.  If we can do this we can  be assured that we will be in the Lord's will for our lives.

It may seem difficult to be thankful in a time of death, illness or a calamity, but we must never lose sight of our overall goal of eternal life and that in perfection.  Heaven is something to always be thankful for.  Imagine being in perfection without any death, illness, weeping or wailing.  What happens here on earth is only for a moment but heaven is eternal.  The Lord has a perfect plan for our lives that we may not understand at a given moment.  He will reveal the reasons in His own good time for the events of our lives.  When you look back from the perspective of heaven you will understand the reason for all that occurred here on earth.  If you are in God's will here on earth you will find more peace and joy and thanksgiving.  Keep on praying for the Lord to show you His will. 

YOU CAN RUN BUT YOU CAN NOT HIDE!

JEREMIAH 23: 24

"Can anyone hide from God in a secret place?  Am I not everywhere in the heavens and the earth, says the Lord."

You can run from yourself, but there is no where to hide.  Have you ever wanted to hide in some secret place where no one could find you.  The One Truth Today is that there is no secret place to hide from God.  The Lord is everywhere in the heavens and the earth.  God asks us this question. Am I a God who is only close at hand.  The answer is no, God is everywhere at the same time, even far away.  Are you trying to hide from God or yourself?  Have you refused to acknowledge God and His Word.  Just because you refuse to learn about the "good news" of God does not make it invalid, nor does it allow you to hide from the truth.  You can choose to hide but you can never escape God, He is Omnipresent!

The Lord fills the heavens and the earth and is everywhere at all times.   Everywhere you look you can see God's handiwork.  It is evident in the sun, moon, planets and stars.  Even though man has made attempts to leave the earth and eventually travel to another planet, they are so feeble and weak.  If you try to escape God you will have no more luck hiding from God or escaping His dominion.  Can you come to the realization that God is in control of everything, including your life?  Can you accept that you can not hide from God?  No matter where you go, there is God!  The beginning of wisdom is the knowledge, fear and love of God.  Are you wise?

In Second Thessalonians 1: 7-9  we read that when the Lord Jesus Christ appears from heaven,  He will bring judgement on those who do not know Him and refused to obey His Good News.  They will be punished with eternal separation and damnation.  Every non believer has had a small voice speaking to their spirit and in their heart they know that God exists.  They have all been warned and heard the messages of God.  If you have an empty feeling in the pit of your stomach and you know or feel that you are incomplete, then there is hope for you.  The spirit of God is trying to save you from personal destruction and death.  The choice is yours and yours alone.  You must accept Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour.  Or you can reject Him and you can try to hide from God, but you will fail.  YOU CAN RUN BUT YOU CAN NOT HIDE!

THE DAY OF THE LORD'S RETURN!

THESSALONIANS 5: 2

"For you know quite well that THE DAY OF THE LORD'S RETURN will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night."

Do you feel secure in your little world?  Is everything going quite well for you and your loved ones?  Is there peace and safety all around you?  Do you believe this will never end?  At a time when we would never expect it the Lord Jesus Christ will return unexpectedly.  The comparison is to when a thief comes in the night and you never suspected or expected it or you would have been up and awake and aware!  For believer's this is the blessed event we have all waited and prayed for.  For non believer's this is the calamity and end they have always been worried about in the pit of their stomach.  It does not matter if either of us do not think this is the time or the season for the Lord's return,  He is coming.  Death and damnation come to the unbeliever after the Lord's judgement.  There will be no more time to bend your knee and confess with your tongue that you accept the Lord into your heart or life.  There will be no escape.

Up until the moment of the Lord's return every person has a choice to accept the Lord's free gift of eternal life or to reject the Lord and exclude Him from their lives.  Not choosing to accept Jesus Christ is a decision, just as rejecting Him is a decision that each person makes.  God will not have condemned you, you will have condemned yourself.  Your choice and your consequence.  If you reject God or neglect God you are making the mistake that will cost your eternal life and the damnation of your soul forever.  Do not blame God for your action or inaction.  

When the Lord returns unexpectedly and suddenly there will be no more time for this earth.  There will be no escape from the wrath to come.  God's children will be saved as He promised them.  There is no need for anyone to perish and God's desire is that everyone will be saved.  The problem is that He gave everyone free will and they choose there own destiny.  Life or death is the hand of every person on earth.  Today is the day of salvation to anyone who does not know or has not accepted the Lord.  You can make the choice right now and in this instant the Lord can and will save you, if you believe in Him and open the door to your heart for Him to come in and dwell with you.  Now is the accepted time.  In fact the only time that is available to you is before THE DAY OF THE LORD'S RETURN!  Your move, your decision, your fate!

WORKING FOR THE LORD!

COLOSSIANS 3: 23

"Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were WORKING FOR THE LORD rather than for people."

Who is your boss?  Who do you work for?  Like most people, do you think that the person you work for is your boss?  Many smart business people tell their workers that the customer is the real boss.  After all the customer pays for all their services and that is where their paycheck is derived.  In this day and age many companies and bosses come and go.  For many people it can get confusing.  Imagine if you were a slave or a bond servant.  The boss would think that he owned you body and soul.  The truth is you have only one correct way of focusing all your work and energy.  You should always be WORKING FOR THE LORD!

No matter what you do for a living, no matter what your tasks are, do it willingly and with all your heart and soul for the Lord.  In reality you do not work for any man or even yourself.  You should know that it is not from any man you will receive your inheritance.  The Lord will give you the free gift of eternal life and that will be your reward for all your work.  We receive our true compensation in heaven.  Anything that we accumulate on earth is temporary and fleeting. We came into the world with nothing and we will leave with nothing. 

We really serve the Lord Jesus Christ in everything that we do.  The Lord is our real master and you should really only want to please Him.  You do not have to fear any earthly boss or master.  As believer's our position should always be that an earthly boss will have no power over our eternal destination or future.  The beginning of wisdom is the fear and knowledge of God and He is the one to respect and have reverence for.  So when someone asks you, "who is your boss", the correct answer is the Lord.  That is why you should always be a willing worker and why you should always understand that you are not working for people or yourself you are WORKING FOR THE LORD.
