ONLY FOOLS SAY THERE IS NO GOD!

PSALM 53:1

"ONLY FOOLS SAY IN THEIR HEARTS THERE IS NO GOD.  They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; none of them does good."

The One Truth Today is quite an indictment about anyone who does not acknowledge that there is a God.  If you do not believe there is a God then you are corrupt and evil.  Anyone that rejects the existence of God does no good.  Do you believe in God?  If you do, you are considered wise according to the Word.  Have you said that there is no God?  You are a fool!  I now consider as the key question in a persons life, do you believe there is a God.  Those who say there is no God are corrupt and they do no good for the Kingdom of God.  They are evil and should not be listened to.  Who do these unbeliever's consider wise?  Politicians, professors, scientists, financiers, physicians, lawyers, artists can all be added together and they can not save us, nor give us eternal life!

Who could place the stars in the heavens and create the sun, moon and universe?  Who can create an ecosystem that has supported mans life for centuries?  What collection of men can tell the future, cure disease, prevent death or solve the problems of this earth?  None.  Men come and go in the shortest of seasons.  They bring nothing into this world and they take nothing when they go.  They make foolish attempts to make themselves gods but they are a joke to the real God.  They believe it is convenient for them to say there is no God so that they can do whatever they wish, and make themselves god.  That way they can condone any acts or commit any outrageous conduct or choose any life style.  Humanism as it is defined above proves the foolishness of man.  ONLY FOOLS SAY THERE IS NO GOD!

The psalmists tell us that "God looks down from heaven on the entire human race.  God looks to see if there is any one who is truly wise.  His answer is no, "No one does Good, no not one".   All have turned away from God and become corrupt.  Then the question is how do we become wise.  The beginning of wisdom is the fear, knowledge and love of God.  If you do not have God you will never be wise.  You have to open the door to your heart and ask Him in to dwell with you and become your Saviour.  God will then become your wisdom.  If  you reject God and keep Him from  your heart then the consequences are inevitable.  You will be a fool forever.  ONLY FOOLS SAY IN THEIR HEART THERE IS NO GOD!

ACCEPT HIM OR REJECT HIM!

LUKE 10: 16

"Then Jesus said to His disciples, anyone who accepts your message is also accepting me.  Anyone who rejects your message is rejecting me.  Anyone who rejects me is rejecting God, who sent me!"

Have you ever wondered how important your message about Jesus is to others?  What is the impact on their life when you bring them the "good news"?  The choice will be up to them individually and the consequences are as important as life and death.  If they reject the message that you are bringing them about Jesus Christ, they are rejecting the God who sent Him to save them.  Knowing this it is important to explain the consequences of their decision.  If they accept the message they accept God and His gift of eternal life.  If they reject the message they are condemning themselves to eternal separation from God and the second death.  

When we witness about Jesus Christ to others there is a lot at stake.  There are life changing ramifications to accepting or rejecting the message of the "good news".  The Lord's One Truth for Today tells us that if they accept the message they are accepting God.  If they reject the message they are rejecting God.  God's plan was to send His only begotten Son to the earth to spread the Good News about His plan for salvation.  Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the Light and when we open the door to our heart and invite Him in we are obtaining new life and that eternal.  That is how important it is that we go and tell others about the Word of God and that Jesus Christ is the only one that can  save them.

The ones  who listen to you and your message are really listening to Jesus Christ Himself and that includes God who sent Him.  The ones who reject the message that you bring to them are really rejecting Jesus Christ Himself and the one who sent Him.  As a disciple of the Lord we have a duty to bring the message of peace and joy and eternal life to everyone we know.  The kingdom of God and  heaven are close at hand.  Every person needs to come to repentance for their sins and allow Jesus Christ to Save them and show the mercy of God.  Everyone has a choice and when it comes to Jesus Christ and accepting or rejecting God.  Their lives are at stake.  ACCEPT HIM OR REJECT HIM. 

WHY SHOULD I BE AFRAID?

PSALM 56: 4

"I praise God for what He has promised.  I trust in God so WHY SHOULD I BE AFRAID?  What can mere mortals do to me?

What are you afraid of?  Some people are so afraid to die that they never really live.  Some people are afraid to drive on the freeway, or fly a plane, or go to certain neighborhoods, because of the possible danger.  This is a true test of how much you trust and believe God and His Word.  If you are saved and assured of your salvation then you should be praising God for what He has promised you.  Mere mortals can do nothing permanent to you.  God will save you and give you new and eternal life.  Knowing this in your heart, WHY SHOULD I BE AFRAID!

This is the "good news" that believer's know and trust.  They have received the free gift of eternal life and know that to be absent from their body is to be present with the Lord.  That is why we praise God.  He has promised to deliver us from death and give us new and eternal life.  With these truths in mind every believer needs to ask themselves why should we be afraid of anything or anyone.  Mere mortals can only effect our earthly bodies and have no control over our eternal souls.  

Are you sure of your eternal destination?  If you are not sure, then you should be afraid.  That sickening feeling in the pit of  your stomach is to warn you of the impending danger for your soul.  There are severe consequences to not accepting and trusting in God.  His promises do not belong to those who reject Him.  How can you overcome your fears?  You must come to know, fear and love the Lord Jesus Christ.  You can do that right now.  Ask the Lord to come into your heart and dwell with you.  He will give you a new life and a new eternal soul that will join with Him.  Do not be afraid anymore.  You too can then tell others, WHY SHOULD I BE AFRAID?

YOUR DUTY!

LUKE 9: 60

"Jesus told them, YOUR DUTY is to go and preach about the kingdom of God."

You have heard Jesus say, "come and follow me", in His Word.  Praise the Lord that He has called believer's to eternal life in heaven with Him.  Almost every believer intends to follow the Lord wherever He leads them.  Some want to first complete some task they feel is more important than the Lord's work.  They may get caught up in this world and focus on the earthly needs rather than the heavenly destination.  The Lord makes it clear in this One Truth Today. what we should be doing.  YOUR DUTY is to go and preach about the kingdom of God!  Keep the first thing first!

We are to preach the Lord's message and tell about His Word to others.  The Lord also said that once we put our hand to the plow, tilling in His field, we should never look back.  If we do not keep our hand to the task we are not fit for the kingdom of God.  You are a worker and soldier in the Lord's army and you have a duty to perform.  YOUR DUTY is to go and preach about the Kingdom of God.  

Are you one of God's disciples?  Are you willing to do your duty throughout your life in the Lord Jesus?  Do you understand that you have a duty to preform?  The Lord wants us to join with Him in telling the "good news".  This is more important that anything or concern you may have with this life.  We are to go and publish the Word everywhere.  The Lord is to be the first in our lives and in everything that we do.  Everyday we are to be loyal to our calling and be a good soldier in the Army of God.  Attention.  IT IS YOUR DUTY TO GO AND PREACH ABOUT THE KINGDOM OF GOD!  

TELL YOUR FAMILY!

LUKE 8: 39

"Go back to your family and tell them everything God has done for you."

Now that God has saved you and changed your life, what should you do?  If you have been freed from your demons, such as alcohol, drugs, or sex addiction you have an obligation to share this with your family.  This is not something that you want to keep a secret.  Your family and friends need to know what has changed your life and what has saved you.  Jesus Christ can take those who are under the power of Satan and his demons and free them.  The Lord can make you whole again with renewed sanity and peace.  The contrast can be so great that your family and friends will be astonished and want to know how this could happen.  A raving maniac that is now a man of peace and tranquility can only happen at the feet of Jesus.  Go back and tell your family!

When the man in this scripture that explains the One Truth Today, was saved from a legion of demons, he asked what he should do?  The Lord's answer was clear.  Jesus told him to return to his family and village and tell everyone what God had done for him.  When we are saved we should do the same thing.  We need to go back to our family and friends and tell them or the miraculous power of Jesus Christ and how He saved us and gave us new life.  Have you told everyone about the great things that Jesus Christ has done in your life?

If you have experienced the miracle of healing and cleansing you have a story to tell others.  Your testimony and the recount of what the Lord has done for you may help to save another.  When you recount the way you became saved it will encourage others who are lost and broken.  These are powerful messages that can help bring a saving grace and the true knowledge of Jesus Christ.  We along with the Lord want everyone to be saved and none to perish.  TELL YOUR FAMILY!

EVERY WORD PROVES TRUE!

PROVERBS 30: 5

"EVERY WORD of God PROVES TRUE.  He is a shield to all who come to Him for protection."

It turns out that every person in this world has lied.  The truth is not in us at all times.  If you just said or thought you have never lied, then oops, you just lied.  If you say you have not lied then you are calling the Lord a liar.  All of us have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  Only God is Good.  The truth is EVERY WORD OF GOD PROVES TRUE!  There is great comfort in knowing that our God has never lied.  No, not one time has God said anything that is untrue.  Many have tested and questioned God, but His Word is tried and purified.  God is the only shield you can come to for protection in this evil and corrupt world.

God's Word is absolute!  God's Word is the truth!  We can trust and depend on every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God.  On the other hand, we are just men with our limited understanding.  We have only a limited knowledge and intelligence.  We do not have the mind of God and we are imperfect.  God on the other hand is perfect in every way.  He is Omnipresent, Omniscient, and has all the Power and Glory.   God is the Holy One who is true.

Because we trust in the Lord, we can take refuge in Him.  He is a shield to those who know and love Him.  He protects us from those who would lie to us and mislead us, such as the devil!  We are to test everything we are told against God's perfect Word.  Do not trust anyone who adds to or takes away from the truth of the Word.  Those who lie will be proved untrue and be exposed as a liar.  Make God your shield and ask for His protection.  EVERY WORD OF GOD PROVES TRUE!  

GIVING YOU A CHOICE!

DEUTERONOMY 11: 26-27-28

'Look today I am GIVING YOU A CHOICE, between a blessing and a curse!  You will be blessed if you obey the commands of the Lord your God, that I am giving you today.  You will be cursed if you reject the commands of the Lord your God, and turn away from Him."

Some things never change.  Since the Lord gave us the 10 commandments, there have always been two choices.  You can believe God and obey His commandments, or you can reject God and His commandments, and turn away from Him.  Every person has to make that choice.  Your choice will determine whether you are blessed or cursed.  Your choice will determine whether you have eternal life, or separation from God for eternity.  The One Truth for Today is that you make the choice and you are responsible for the consequences.  Those who reject God and His commandments and turn away from Him bring a curse upon themselves.  

If we listen to God and His commandments we will be blessed.  How can God make it any more simple or understandable than this?  You have a choice that is set before you and only you can make the decision.  Of course, you are responsible for the decision, not God or anyone else. That is why God is a just God.  He made a plan and is GIVING YOU A CHOICE!  Those who choose to reject God and His Word and commandments have done so of their own free will. God does not force you to believe in Him or accept His Word or commandments.  You have to make that choice.  We must all make an affirmative response and open the door to our hearts and allow the Lord to come in and dwell with us.  

Some argue that the choice was only given at the time Jesus Christ was alive.  The bible is clear that the "Good News", was meant for all people of all times.  This blessing or cursing is meant for you right now, today.  Your choice and decision is what will determine your place in eternity.  God does not want even one to perish and die the second death.  He wants everyone to accept the free gift of eternal life.  God does expect us to make the decision on our own and learn to Love, Fear and Respect Him.  God said: Look, today, I am giving you a choice between blessing and cursing.  If you obey my commandments you will be blessed.  If you reject my commandments and turn away from me you will be cursed.  I am GIVING YOU A CHOICE!
