THE EYES AND EARS OF THE LORD!

1 PETER 3: 12

"THE EYES OF THE LORD watch over those who do right, and THE EARS OF THE LORD are open to their prayers.  But, the Lord turns His face against those who do evil!"

One could make the following general statement;  evil things happen to evil people.  Another way to say the same thing is; you get what you deserve.  The same thing could be said about those who do the right thing and serve the Lord.  Good things happen to good people.  We get what we deserve.  For every action there is a reaction.  Good choices lead to good consequences and bad or evil choices lead to bad and evil consequences.  You know in your heart that this is true.  That is why people feel guilty when they do something wrong, bad, or evil.  How does this One Truth Today apply to our lives now?  The simple answer is that there are still consequences for your choices and actions.  THE EYES AND EARS OF THE LORD are on You!

The Lord is perfectly just.  He turns His face against those who do evil.  In other words, He turns His back on those who do not listen, love or fear Him.  Those who do not follow His laws and commandments, He turns over to evil.  In that God controls and owns everything, everywhere, one can conclude what will happen to those who are in His favor and those who are not in His favor.  Evil things will happen to evil people.   Good things will happen to people in God's favor.  The ultimate result is how you will spend eternity.  Will you be in Heaven with the Lord forever?  Will you be separated from God for eternity in Hell.  Do you have a personal relationship with the Lord?  If so, THE EYES AND EARS OF THE LORD are on those who do right.  The Lord turns His face from the evil!

The Lord is watching each of us as believer's right now.  God hears our prayers and sees and hears us.  There is great comfort in knowing that an all powerful and all knowing God is watching over us right now.  Every prayer we utter and every need we have, He is aware of and does respond.  Our prayers are answered in our best interest if we are in God's will and doing what is right.  Knowing this is what allows us to understand that the "fear of God" is the beginning of wisdom.  What a contrast between those that accept and receive the Lord and those that reject and disrespect Him.   That is why we have turned from our evil ways.  That is why we thank God for our Salvation every day.  THE EYES AND EARS OF THE LORD are a blessing to those that love God!

CHRISTMAS!

MATTHEW - MARK - LUKE

Christmas is a word made up of two parts.  Christ and Mass.  Traditionally the Mass for Christ was held each year on the 25Th of December to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.  It was a festival of lights and gifts and songs and celebration.   The Word became flesh and dwelt among us when the baby Jesus was born in a manger.  The Saviour of the world was born!  Light came into the world that was in darkness.  God revealed His plan of Salvation and Redemption to all men.  The birth of Jesus Christ was God's gift to all of us.  Christians still know and realize what Christmas is all about.  The non believing world still tries to obscure the message and marginalize the birth of our Lord.  Non believer's agonize over the Christmas celebration because they have not accepted the free gift of life from the Lord.  They try to destroy the message in every conceivable way because they do not understand it.  Even some believer's have distorted the true message of Christmas.

What is Christmas to you?  Is it a time to eat, drink and be merry?  Is it a time to receive gifts?

Instead of a birthday celebration for Jesus Christ, has it become a birthday party for you and all your family?  How much time have you devoted to thanking and praising God for the gift of our Lord and Saviour in the flesh?  We need to guard against the world and non believer's who are only trying to enrich themselves and destroy the beauty of the true message.  The world has gone out of its way to substitute toys, Santa, and numerous traditions to obscure what Christ Mass is all about.  Santa can not save you or give you new and eternal life.  Do not let the world take your eyes of the true message of this important day.  Christ Saves!  Praise the Lord!

Can you believe the audacity of non believer's.  It is not enough that they are ignorant and unwise, they want to control the lives of everyone and deny us the Joy and Love and Happiness that comes with the birth of Christ.  They do not want us to celebrate the birth of the Lord because they do not want to bow down to the King of King and the Lord of Lords.  From the beginning there have been two groups of people.  Those who love and serve God and those who have rejected and disrespected the Lord.  Those that reject God want to continue in their sin and deviant behavior.  They despise the influence and power of Christmas and they hate God. 

If you Love Jesus, celebrate His birth.  Remember who the party is for and who is the guest of honor.  Teach your family and friends what Christ Mass is for!  Influence the world and show everyone what you know and believe.  That Jesus Christ is the Lord God.  Merry Christmas! 

STAY ALERT!

1 PETER 5: 8

"STAY ALERT!  Watch out for your great enemy the devil.  He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour."

If you do not believe in the devil, then you probably do not believe in God.  That means that the devil is winning when it comes to your life.  Non believer's ridicule the idea of the devil, do you?  The Word of God and the One Truth Today tells us that there is a devil and he is your enemy and he wants to devour you and cause you to die.  Jesus Christ mentions the devil on many occasions and the Lord believes that the devil exists, shouldn't you?  The devil is the enemy of God and wants to be God.  He is a fallen angel who has been expelled from heaven and will spend eternity in Hell with all of his minions and those who serve him.  The devil is cunning and deceitful and the father of all lies.  He wants to lead you to eventual death.  STAY ALERT!

The devil is the enemy of God, but more importantly he is your enemy.  He knows he is winning if you do not even believe that he exists.  That is part of the devils plan, to make you doubt the Word of God.  The devils lies include telling Eve that "surely you would not die' if you took of the tree of knowledge.  Has the devil deceived you also?  If you have the Lord Jesus Christ in your heart and life then you will be able to discern and understand the plan of the devil.  You will learn to resist the devil and to flee from him.  The Word of God helps us STAY ALERT!

The image of the devil prowling around the earth, roaring like a lion, and looking for someone to devour is powerful.  Until the Lord returns the devil will never stop lying and trying to deceive man.  He will look for the weak and vulnerable.  He wants to find those whose belief and faith in the Word of God is weak.  They are the most vulnerable.  Non believer's have no defense to the devil and succumb to many of his tricks.  As a believer you know of the existence of the devil and are aware of his lies and tricks.  You have to defend you the Lord and His Word.  Stand firm and resist the devils temptations.  With the Lord and His Word as our defense, the devil will flee from us!  STAY ALERT!

LYING!

1 JOHN 1: 6

"So we are LYING if we say we have fellowship with God, but go on living in spiritual darkness.  We are not practicing the Truth!"

Man is born in sin.  It is our natural instinct to commit sins and to lie.  You can see it in a little child that smiles and tells you a lie.  You can see it in those that try to hide their true persona behind a fake smile and demeanor.  Perhaps it is most apparent when those who profess to know and love the Lord Jesus Christ commit egregious acts against man, society and God.  An example would be the pastor that runs off with the church secretary and commits adultery.  It would be a religious wife who carries on an affair while being a peer in the church.  It is the silent alcoholic, drug user or pornography addict that claims to Love the Lord.  You are LYING if you say you have fellowship with God and go on living in spiritual darkness.

When we open the door to our heart and ask Jesus Christ to come in and dwell with us, we become a new creature with a new and eternal life.  Old things pass away and all our previous sins are forgiven and forgotten.  We put away the natural man and become a new spiritual child of God.  Then the closer we get to Him the more we become like Jesus.  Once you have tasted the sweetness of the Lord it should be impossible to return to your old sinful nature.  That is what the One Truth Today is all about.  Are you practicing the Truth?  Do you have a spiritual fellowship with God or are you still living in spiritual darkness and sin?  Are you LYING?

If you continue to commit habitual sins against God then you may question if you ever came to the Lord or have been Saved.  If you are still an adulterer, alcoholic, drug addict or liar you need to stop and reflect on your Salvation.  If you do not put God first in your life and everything that you do then you have a question to answer.  Do you honor your parents?  Are you stealing, or committing crimes against man and God, then you are LYING  to the Lord!

In short are you practicing Truth and living in spiritual righteousness and light?  When you sin, do you repent and confess them to the Lord?  If  you say you have fellowship with God then you do.  If you continue in spiritual darkness then you are LYING!    

WHO IS A LIAR!

"WHO IS A LIAR?  Anyone who says that Jesus is not the Christ.  Anyone who denies the Father and the Son is an Anti Christ."

The world has always, and continues to be, separated into two distinct groups of people.  The first group believes that Jesus Christ is the Lord God.  They know that Jesus Christ, the Father and the Holy Spirit are the one and only True God.  This group places all there hope and future in the hands of the Lord who Saves them.  Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life, and to deny Him is to separate yourself from God.  The Word of God is filled with His Truth.  In fact that is how we can provide the One Truth Today that enlightens our life and increases our faith.  We know that there is no other way that leads to life and any other way leads to death.  

WHO IS A LIAR?  We all know people who have trouble telling the truth.  In fact many get a reputation as a liar.  They make up the second distinct group of people in the world today.  This is the group who say that Jesus is not the Christ and who reject the Salvation of the Lord.  They deny there is a God and His Son is Jesus Christ and they reject the Holy Spirit.  They are known as Anti Christ people.  They oppose the Lord Jesus in any way possible and have to destroy Him in order to allow their deviant and sinful behavior.  They will never be Saved and will never be given new and eternal life as long as they cling to their unbelief.  The do not have the Son and they do not have the Father and they will never be filled with the Holy Spirit.  

Every day it is becoming more and more palpable that the split between these two groups is not decreasing, but, increasing.  The groups are diametrically opposed and there is no middle ground.  You are either for the Lord or you are against Him.  You are either for Christ or you are Anti Christ.   The end result of those in either group is predictable and known.  The ones that know and tell the Truth will be Saved and spend eternity in Heaven with the Lord.  The ones who deny and reject Jesus Christ will be separated from God forever and suffer damnation and eternal death.  One has Fear, knowledge and the love of God, the other does not.  They will be judged by their choice at the time of their first death.  If the Anti Christ do not change their mind and open their heart to the Lord, they will be lost forever.  Remember the words of the devil, "did God really say that you would die?"  Yes He did and God is Truth.  WHO IS A LIAR?

Anyone who says that Jesus is not the Christ.  Anyone who denies the Father and the Son is an Anti Christ!

FOOLING OURSELVES!

1 JOHN 1: 8-9

"If we claim we have no sin, we are only FOOLING OURSELVES and not living in the Truth.  If we confess our sins to the Lord, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness."

Do you think of your self as a "good person".  No one is Good except God!  If we claim we have no sin we are only FOOLING OURSELVES!  There are Christians that think that once they have accepted the Lord into their lives they never sin again, and they are "good people".  If you do this you are not living in the Truth.  When you sin it is imperative that you confess it to the Lord.  He is faithful to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us from wickedness.  There are many who while in the midst of committing habitual sins deny it to others and even to themselves, but you can not fool the Lord!  We are all sinners, born into sin and living in sin even after we give our hearts to Jesus Christ.  In this corrupt world it is possible to sin every day.  The One Truth Today tells us to stop FOOLING OURSELVES.  Confess your sins and thank Jesus Christ that you will not die for your sins but will be Saved by the Lord!

How about you personally, do you claim that you do not sin?  You are not living in the Truth and you are calling the Lord a liar.  The fact that you claim to never sin is in and of itself a sin!  

In order to live in the light and have true fellowship and righteousness with God you have to be truthful to yourself and God.  Acknowledge that we are all sinners and only the blood of Jesus Christ can cleanse us of all wickedness, when we confess our sins to Him.  We can not lie about our choices and actions.  We need to confess them before the Lord and ask for forgiveness when we miss the mark.  That is the only way that you can get rid of all the wickedness that enters your life.  We have to stop FOOLING OURSELVES.

If the Lord has a place in your heart you will be aware of when you sin and you will be compelled to confess and ask His forgiveness.  Accept the truth that no one is good, no not one, and no one is free from sin except God Himself.  It is part of our becoming righteous and faithful to God that we live in Truth and confess our sins.  Thank God that He is faithful to always forgive us and cleanse us from all of our wickedness.  We must acknowledge the darkness of sin and seek the light of our Saviour.  Without the blood of Jesus Christ there would be no forgiveness of sin and no washing of sin in His Blood.  We would be dead in our sin and by denying instead of confessing our sins we are only FOOLING OURSELVES.  

LIVING IN HIM!

1 JOHN 2: 5-6

"Those who obey God's Word truly show how completely they love Him.  That is how we know we are LIVING IN HIM.  Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did."

How can you show that you truly love God?  How can you tell if someone is LIVING IN HIM? The One Truth Today has the answer.  You truly love God if you obey His Word.  If you are living your life as Jesus did, then you truly Love God.  Are you just a hearer of the Word, or do you put the Word into practice in your life.  If you say that you are living your life as Jesus did, then you will be doing the perfect will of God.  Are you obeying God's commandments and do you live by His Word?  Those who obey God's Word truly show how completely they Love Him.  

In today's vernacular we would say that we are walking the walk and not just talking the talk! 

If we are going to abide in Jesus Christ the Lord God and have Him abide in us, then by definition, we will have to live our lives as He did.  We understand that we can not be perfect, but it is our responsibility to walk the straight and narrow path toward God.  We are to treasure His Word and understand His precepts.  We are to observe His messages to us and then we are to obey them.  That is what is known as living in Him.  We will know that we are living in Him when we reach a maturity in our relationship with Jesus Christ and confess our failures and sins when we miss the mark.  Our goal is to be LIVING IN HIM!

So if you say you abide in Jesus Christ you ought to walk, talk and conduct yourself in a like manner, based on the Word of God.  This is our obligation as a believer.  The threshold question becomes, am I obeying the Word of God and living my life under the model of Jesus? 

That is how we can prove that we truly love the Lord.  Am I becoming more like Jesus with each passing day?  Am I obeying God the Father and doing His Will?  The question will be answered and your love will be displayed for all to see, if you obey God's Word.  Am I living my life like Jesus?  Then I am LIVING IN HIM!
