ISAIAH 66:2
"My hands have made both heaven and earth; They and everything in them are mine. I, the Lord have spoken!"
Little children and many supposed intellectuals have asked the question; where did the earth come from? Since the beginning of time everyone has wanted to know how we got here! Who made all the stars and planets and the universe? One thing we know for sure, it is not anyone who asks the question. No man or collection of men could bring the heavens and the earth into being. If not men, then who? A power greater than our puny minds can conceive had to put this into motion. Rather than accept the simple truth of the Bible and the Word of God, man has put forth numerous ideas. Man's ideas much as their power and ability are limited and ridiculous when compared to the true God. God made the heavens and the earth!
God said; "Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house could man build for me, to be my resting place". Man can never duplicate what only God can do. Non believers' have many theories and explanations, all calculated to exclude God, and all wrong! Why if man can prover there is no God, then man can be God, and they can do whatever they desire. This is known as Humanism, the most prevalent religion of the earth in the none christian world. The words of humanists are an abomination to God and those who go to their death believing them will suffer eternal death and separation from God as a result. God has regard for the man who is humble, with a broken spirit, and who trembles at His Word and His commands.
The answer to how we got here and who made the heavens and the earth is told to us in this scripture. GOD MADE THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH. You had better believe it!

RELY ON JESUS CHRIST
PHILIPPIANS 3:3
"We rely on what Christ Jesus has done for us. We put no confidence in human effort."
Who do you rely on? Is it yourself, a parent, an authority or the government? When the chips are down and the rubber meets the road, who do you turn to for answers or for help? If you are relying on anyone made of flesh to save you or some human effort to solve your problem, get ready for failure and a loss!
As true believers' and Christians we put no confidence in nor do we depend on our flesh. There is no outward privilege, external appearance, or physical advantage that can allow us to depend on who we are. Our flesh, like our life, is fleeting and deteriorating. This world will come to an end and death is inevitable for us all. No one can rely on themselves to save them from death, no matter what they believe.
As Christians we Worship God in the Spirit and by the Spirit. Our pride and glory is not in ourselves but in our God, Jesus Christ. Now that is something we can rejoice in at all times. We have a Saviour who is not subject to the death of the flesh and can also save us and give us eternal life. So when someone asks you, who do you rely on, the correct answer is that we RELY ON JESUS CHRIST!

GOD IS WITH US!
MATTHEW 1:23
"Look the virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, they will call Him Immanuel, which means GOD IS WITH US!"
Can there be any more important message than this? God is with us! The God who made the universe and everything in it was now with us, here on earth, as a person and human being. If we can grasp hold of the awesome power and truth in that one statement we will be called believers. It requires the help of the Holy Spirit who enters us and aids us in finding the truth. We will never completely understand how the God who made everything could or would fulfill these prophecies, until we are with Him in Heaven. We know this at the birth of Jesus, God was with us!
Mary was a virgin when she became pregnant. She gave birth to a Son. The called Him Jesus and Immanuel, which means God is with us. All this is well documented and witnessed and is without meaningful or real contradiction. Can you imagine holding the little baby Jesus in your hands? Could you understand that you held the God of the Universe in your hands?
Wise men still seek Him, just as they did at the time of His birth. They fell down at His feet and worshiped Him. The wise men presented Him with gifts. Jesus is still accepting gifts, and the one He wants most is your worship of Him. You do not have to go anywhere, or follow a star anymore. IMMANUEL, GOD IS WITH US!

GIVE IT UP!
LUKE 14:33
"So you can not become my disciple without GIVING UP everything you own."
What possessions will you take with you when your life on earth ends? You came into this world with nothing and you will go out the same way, with nothing. The question then is what do you really own? What do you really possess? You may hold the title to some property, but in the end you will not own it. The Bible tells us that the earth and everything in it belongs to the Lord.
We must come to an understanding that everything we have is the Lords, we must give it up!
Greed or covetousness is a sin. We break a commandment when we try to hoard or cling to any type of possession. We must not be jealous of what another has. We are to be content with what the Lord has given us. He will increase our holdings when we use them properly and honor Him in there use. We are just taking care of the things we have and we need to be good stewards.
We must forsake, renounce, and surrender any claim we may have to anything. Say goodbye to all your possessions in that you do not really own them anyway. Recognize that everything God allows us to have and use is temporary. The better steward we are, the more He will give us to watch over. This is true here on earth and in the world to come. It is not so hard to give up something if you realize that you never really owned it. GIVE IT UP!
