MALACHI 3:10
"Bring all your tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in the temple. If you do, Say's the Lord, I will open up the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you will not have enough room to take it in. TRY ME, PUT ME TO THE TEST!
Are you up for the challenge? Here is a direct opportunity to prove or disprove God's truth. Like any challenge you have to follow the rules. Do the right thing if you want the right result. If you bring a tenth of your income into the temple as a gift to God, He will pour out a blessing that exceeds your room to receive it.
Now comes the part that seems to elude most believer's. Yes, He means you must give one tenth of all your income. No parsing of word's here. If you make one dollar, you must give ten cents to the Lord. If you make a million dollars He expects one hundred thousand dollars. How many people do you suppose really do this? No tithe no poured out blessing. Have you tried it? PUT ME TO THE TEST says the Lord.
We do not feel that we have robbed God or defrauded Him, but by not tithing and withholding our offerings that is how He views it. I confess that I have done this as a child and as a young adult. As a grown up believer I have made a more conscious effort and succeed most of the time. I believe there is a direct proportional relationship when it comes to our giving and receiving. I have noticed that those individuals who give the most to God, have the most blessings in their lives. The more you give, the more you seem to get. The more you bless others, the more you are blessed. It is more blessed to give than to receive. The Lord is saying, TRY ME, PUT ME TO THE TEST!
