3 JOHN 1:4
"I could have no greater joy than to hear that my children are following truth!"
Let us assume that you have come to know and follow the truth of Jesus Christ. Let us further assume that you have lived faithfully according to the Word of God. Now let us assume that you have children. There will be nothing more important in your life than seeing your children come to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. Your greatest joy will be in hearing that your children have come to know, love and fear God and have learned and understood His truths! The only thing more important will be your own salvation.
Now let us assume you have four children, and that two have given their life to Christ and have made a commitment to live faithfully to the Word. Finally, lets assume that the other two have a hostile attitude to the idea that there is even a God. These two children want to know how a good god could allow bad things to happen. They want to know why terrible and evil things happen in this world that was made by a perfect God. How do you feel about this situation? What would you give to have all your children full and true believer's in the Gospel of Christ?
Let's face it, if it were up to us the task may be impossible. Fortunately the Holy Spirit through the Word and Power of Jesus Christ has the task. All we must do is pray fervently and continuously for their salvation. Never stop asking, seeking and knocking. The prayers of a righteous man or woman are heard and answered by the living God. Miracles do happen and the Lord can do what we could not. Give it to the Lord. When your children do come to a saving grace and knowledge of the Lord God you will experience what this scripture promises.
