MY LIFE IS FLEETING!

PSALM 39 : 4

"Lord, remind me how brief my time on earth will be! Remind me that my days
are numbered, and how MY LIFE IS FLEETING!"

When we are young we may think that we will liver forever. Death is often never a reality until we approach the end. Have you faced that fact that you had a birth, and you will have a death?
The ratio is absolute, one death for every birth. When we start our own family we think that time is always on our side and that it will never end. As senior citizens we start to realize that life is not forever. Too many of those we knew and loved have all ready passed on. David is reminding us of this One Truth Today. The Lord tells us in this Psalm that our time on earth is brief. We are told that our days are numbered and in perspective to eternity MY LIFE IS FLEETING! We are here today and gone tomorrow like a flower or a blade of grass.

Our entire life is like a breath in God's world. That is why we are admonished to get a proper perspective as we go through this life. We are Pilgrims just passing through. We are going to a home that is eternal, but this is just temporary. This is not our final destination. We can rush through this life and try to accumulate wealth and possessions but it will all be for naught. Others will spend your wealth and just as you came into this life with nothing, you will leave the same way. Remind us Lord that our days are numbered and MY LIFE IS FLEETING!

The "good news" is there is a real hope and a future as a child of God. Jesus Christ will Save you from death and give you a new and eternal life. Our spiritual life has no end and our soul will spend eternity in one of two locations. You can spend eternity with God in Heaven, or you can spend eternity separated from God and in damnation. If you believe on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and accept Him into your heart, you will be Saved. Guard against thinking that this life, your life, is forever here on earth. Without new life and being reborn you will not see eternal life. Too many have found out that life can end in an instant. The facts are all around you, every day. For all of us, our time on the earth is brief and our days are numbered!
Lord continually remind me that MY LIFE IS FLEETING! Lord Save us!
