REPENT, TURN TO GOD!

MARK 6 : 12

"So the disciples went out, telling everyone they met to REPENT, of their sins and,
TURN TO GOD!"

What was the message that Jesus gave to His disciples, to go into all the world and tell people?
Was it the same message that was given by John the Baptist? Exactly what is it that everyone is to hear and understand and then put into action? Is this message the same one that is being taken throughout all the world, even today? What happens to the individual that fails to hear or listen to the message? How about you, have you heard the message of the disciples, John the Baptist and the Lord Jesus Christ? REPENT OF YOU SINS AND TURN TO GOD!

Repent means to turn around from the path you are on and take a new direction. Have you turned from the path that leads away from God and has as its destination, eternal damnation?
Have you turned to God for Salvation and new life? Every person needs to hear the message and then to act upon it and become a Hearer of the Word! We are all sinners and we have all come short of the glory of God. We need a Savior who can keep us from dying eternally and give us new and eternal life. This requires a change of mind and direction in life and one which turns to God and His Word. If you turn around and repent you will be going in the direction toward God instead of away from Him. This brings you to the straight and narrow path that leads to life!

If you are a humanist or worship idols or false gods, you will never be given new and eternal life and there is none that can give you hope but Jesus Christ the Lord God. If you are caught up in sins, such as alcoholism, drug addiction, adultery, deviant life styles or any other sin you must stop what you are doing today and turn around. Repent of your sins, and turn your life over to God. Ask for forgiveness of your sins and get on the straight and narrow path that leads to life. Increase in faith and righteousness by walking toward God and learning more and more about Him and His Word. Clean up your life and find peace and eternal happiness instead of death and damnation. That is the message given to the disciples, told by John the Baptist and the "Good News" of Jesus Christ. REPENT AND TURN TO GOD!
