SPIRITUAL TRAINING!

1 TIMOTHY 4: 8

"Physical training is good, but training for Godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and the life to come."

Do you do a physical work out every day?  Are you involved in a training program that requires you time and effort on a regular basis?  Are you attempting to keep your body young and beautiful?  How much time and what kind of training program do you have to achieve personal Godliness?  Do you give the same effort to them both?  The young and beautiful body is a losing cause and in the end one thing happens to us all.  The training for Godliness is much better because if give you benefits in this life and in the life to come.  How is your SPIRITUAL TRAINING?

Your earthly body will benefit from physical training, but for only the short time you have on earth.  Spiritual training is so much more useful and beneficial because it will help you eternally.  You will be absent from this body at one point in time, but you will be with the Lord if you are a believer.  When you consider the end results of your effort, where do you think it is more profitable to spend your time and energy?  This does not mean that we should let our earthly body go to pot, physical training is good.  Training for Godliness is much better both now and eternally.

Reading and digesting and putting into action scripture is a way to improve you Godliness.  Attending church and joining with other believer's is training for Godliness.  Sermons and daily bible reading help your spirit to grow.  Learning about the Prophets and the Laws of God help us to understand God's will.  Our daily bread should be the Word of God, it will nourish us and increase our Godliness.  The more we eat, the more we grow and the more our spirit is nourished.  You want to be healthy, it is more important to grow spiritually then physically.     So where should we spend a part of every day, that will lead to the greatest reward.  The answer is SPIRITUAL TRAINING!
