THE LAST WORD!

REVELATION 22: 21

'May the Grace of the Lord Jesus be with God's Holy people!"

Have you ever noticed how some people like to have the last word in any conversation? It does not matter how short or how long the discussion is, its just important to have THE LAST WORD! The Bible contains over 40 books and was written over 4,000 years by over 40 authors, so what is THE LAST WORD? The bible is a the Living Word of God and it is complete and complex and all that anyone needs to be Saved and receive eternal life! It can take a whole life time to digest and understand the Word of God and there will still be much to learn. Only God is Omniscient and His mind is above our mind, so we can never hope to be just like Him. Thus the question, what was THE LAST WORD that God wanted us to read and to know?

The One Truth Today and the final prayer in the Holy Bible begins with a petition, that blessing and favor, that is the Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, be with all of God's Holy People. They are the saints of the Lord. The Messiah is praying for His Holy people. Those of us who have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour are now set apart by God. We have been given the full portion of His Grace and His Favor. Our prayer is, "may it be so Lord Jesus". Even at the end of the Living Word of God, the Lord was praying for us. THE LAST WORD, was this prayer. "May the Grace of the Lord Jesus be with God's Holy people"!

Do you know that you are favored by God? Are you one of God's Holy people? Are you receiving God's grace every day? Is Jesus Christ your Lord and Saviour? If you can answer yes than we say Amen! If your answer is no, then you need to learn and understand the last thing that the Lord God wanted you to hear! Stop right now and consider your position and choice!

You have a free will and you can either accept or reject Jesus Christ the Lord God. If you reject Him or do nothing about making a choice, you have made decision that has life changing consequences. You alone are responsible for that choice and you can not blame God for not choosing you! For every choice there is a consequence. Pray to the Lord to Save you now!

Let your acceptance of the free gift of Salvation be Your Last Word on the subject! Start the New Year with a New Life!

CHOSEN!

1 PETER 1: 2

"God the Father knew you and CHOSE YOU long ago. His Spirit has made you Holy!

God is Omnipotent, that means that He knows all things and everything. You should not be surprised that God the Father knew you long ago and that you are one of the CHOSEN! His Holy Spirit has made you Holy! In fact the scripture tells us the God knew you before you were in your mother's womb. God knows your name and everything about you personally. After all you are His child and He is your Heavenly Father. God had foreknowledge of your accepting Him as your Lord and Saviour. He knew that you would use your free will to accept Jesus Christ the Lord God into your heart. He knows that you will be obedient to the Lord and His blood will cleanse you of all sin. You have been consecrated and sanctified and made Holy by His Spirit.

Now you will be spiritually blessed with His Grace and Faith. God will give you peace and watch over you. You can be free from fears, agitations, and moral conflicts as the result of having the Lord Jesus and the Word of God as your guide. You are one of His elect, one of His CHOSEN. Your desire will be to obey God and His Word. Jesus Christ will be the reason for your living and receiving eternal life. No wonder you want to praise and worship the Lord and grow in His love, more and more. That is why we continually Praise the Lord!

Now the question, why have some been saved and some lost? The One Truth Today helps us to differentiate and distinguish between those that have been CHOSEN and those who have not. Everyone is given the same opportunity to make the correct choice. You are free to either accept or reject Jesus Christ the Lord God. The Lord gave you a free will, but, there are consequences to your choices. You can open the door of your heart to the Lord God or you can reject Him. You can also do nothing, which is the equivalent of rejecting Him. The Lord knows what you will do before it even happens, but you are the one that makes the choice. The Lord wants everyone to be saved and it is His desire that all people will choose to accept His free gift of life. Your choice, your consequence. If you make the right choice you are one of God"s CHOSEN!

TESTED BY FIRE!

1 PETER 1: 6-7

"So be truly glad for there is wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show your faith is genuine. It is being TESTED BY FIRE. As fire purifies gold, your faith is far more precious than mere gold!"

Genuine faith is TESTED BY FIRE! One of the most asked questions from non believer's is, "if God is such a good God why do bad things happen to good people"? The One Truth Today explains the mind of God. For believer's there is a wonderful joy ahead, and even though we have to endure many trials for a little while, they will show our genuine faith. When we are tested by fire our faith is purified just like fine gold. Faith is far more precious than any gold! It is also true that bad behavior and the breaking of God's laws leads to bad things happening. Anyone will suffer if they steal or kill or bear false witness. All who violate God's laws and commandments should expect to go through the fire. We believer's know that "no one is good, no not one". We have all sinned and come short of the glory of God and so we will have to endure trials for a little while. Bad things happen to "good people", because they have also sinned against God. The difference is that Believer's are Saved from their sins if their faith is genuine!

Our entire life is so short in comparison to eternity. Believer's are quite aware that this is just a temporary situation and we are "passing through". We know that there is wonderful joy ahead and we will spend eternity in Heaven with the Lord. That is why we are willing to endure the fire. In fact all believer's should welcome the fire as a way to prove their faith is genuine. So even when we go through the fire here on earth we know this is not our final destination and represents only a minor portion of our life. We welcome being purified by the trials and tribulations of this life. We are truly glad to be TESTED BY FIRE!

Our faith is more precious than fine gold. When our faith remains strong through the many trials of this life, it leads to praise and glory from our Heavenly Father. When Jesus Christ is revealed to you at the time of judgement He will say that He knew you and that you belong to Him. There will be unspeakable joy and your reward will be eternal new life with the Lord. You will come face to face with your Saviour. The small price we have to pay in the way of trials or facing fire here on earth pales in comparison to the Salvation of God. That is why we endure trials and hold out to the very end. That is why we are truly glad to be TESTED BY FIRE!

NOT SEEING IS BELIEVING!

1 PETER 1: 8

"You love the Lord even though you have never seen Him.  Though you do not see the Lord now, you trust Him, and you rejoice with a glorious inexpressible joy.

The reward for trusting the Lord will be the Salvation of your souls!"

We have all heard the expression that "seeing is believing".  Nothing confirms a truth to a person like seeing something with their own eyes.  We use our senses to confirm whether something is true or not.  Think of an example in your own life.  When a confirmed bachelor finally gets married, people say, I would not believe it unless I saw it with my own eyes!  The list of examples is endless.  The message is the same.  We find something to be trustworthy if we see it with our own eyes.  Seeing is believing!

Have you ever seen Jesus Christ the Lord God?  Has the Lord revealed Himself in the flesh to you personally?    Can you see the Lord right now?  Then how can you be sure that He exists?

If all of our senses, including our sight do not reveal Him to us, does He exist?  It takes genuine faith to believe something that the senses can not confirm to you personally.  This is the real proof of your love for the Lord Jesus Christ.  You Love Him even though you have never seen Him.  You Trust Him even though your 5 senses have not experienced Him personally.  You have inexpressible joy and you rejoice in the Knowledge of Him!  NOT SEEING IS BELIEVING!

Your reward for trusting the Lord will be the Salvation of your Souls!

The Lord has proved His existence to us in so many ways.  We see the Universe and the handy work of His Hand.  We have the comfort of His Word and that of His Prophets to prove His existence.  We have written on our hearts and minds the truth of His Word!  We hear the still soft whisper of His voice in our ears.  Our hearts are filled with the indwelling Spirit of the Lord!  We know that because our 5 senses cannot discern something, does not mean that it does not exist.  Praise God that He did become flesh and did dwell among us so that a record of His life could be given and used to understand that Jesus Christ is the Lord God!  Even though He is not on the earth now, available to our senses, we know and have faith that the Lord is with us and preparing a place for us in Heaven.  In our case, NOT SEEING IS BELIEVING! 

NO FAVORITES!

1 PETER 1: 17

"Remember that the Heavenly Father to whom you pray has NO FAVORITES. He will judge and reward you according to what you do. So you must live in reverent fear of Him during your time as foreigners in this land."

Did your parents have a "favorite child"? What did you think and how did you feel about your parents having a "favorite"? We are all human and we may have a tendency to gravitate toward one of our children, at the expense of the others. It is wrong and we are acting in the flesh. The One Truth Today points out the fairness of our Lord. Our Heavenly Father judges each of us and rewards each of us according to what we do. God has NO FAVORITES! We are all equal in the sight of the Lord. God respects us all as individuals. We will stand alone to be judged for our choices, thoughts and actions. That is why we should live in reverent fear of God here on earth!

Remember that the reverent fear of God is the beginning of wisdom! To know, love and fear God is the first step to becoming wise. If we are a child of God then we need to be obedient to our Father. Our goal is to be righteous and faithful in His sight. We will be judged on our behaviour and choices. If we walk in His path of righteousness and do His will we can look forward to being Judged fairly and rewarded accordingly. If we do not believe or accept the Lord we will also be judged and rewarded accordingly. It does not matter what any other child of God does, what did you do! You do not want to hear, "depart from me I never knew you".
Most importantly this scripture informs you that the Lord has NO FAVORITES!

Finally we need to always remember that we are foreigners in this world. We are pilgrims just passing through. We are only going to be here for a little while and then we will be gone. Our eternal future is predicated on what we do while we are here on earth. We alone are responsible for our choices, thoughts and actions. You can choose to accept Jesus Christ the Lord God into your heart or you can reject and disrespect Him. Not making any decision is the equivalent of rejecting the Lord. You are either for the Lord or you are against Him. Either you have a reverent fear of your Heavenly Father and pray to Him or you do not. YOU WILL BE JUDGED OR REWARDED ACCORDING TO WHAT YOU DO. God has NO FAVORITES!

THE EYES AND EARS OF THE LORD!

1 PETER 3: 12

"THE EYES OF THE LORD watch over those who do right, and THE EARS OF THE LORD are open to their prayers.  But, the Lord turns His face against those who do evil!"

One could make the following general statement;  evil things happen to evil people.  Another way to say the same thing is; you get what you deserve.  The same thing could be said about those who do the right thing and serve the Lord.  Good things happen to good people.  We get what we deserve.  For every action there is a reaction.  Good choices lead to good consequences and bad or evil choices lead to bad and evil consequences.  You know in your heart that this is true.  That is why people feel guilty when they do something wrong, bad, or evil.  How does this One Truth Today apply to our lives now?  The simple answer is that there are still consequences for your choices and actions.  THE EYES AND EARS OF THE LORD are on You!

The Lord is perfectly just.  He turns His face against those who do evil.  In other words, He turns His back on those who do not listen, love or fear Him.  Those who do not follow His laws and commandments, He turns over to evil.  In that God controls and owns everything, everywhere, one can conclude what will happen to those who are in His favor and those who are not in His favor.  Evil things will happen to evil people.   Good things will happen to people in God's favor.  The ultimate result is how you will spend eternity.  Will you be in Heaven with the Lord forever?  Will you be separated from God for eternity in Hell.  Do you have a personal relationship with the Lord?  If so, THE EYES AND EARS OF THE LORD are on those who do right.  The Lord turns His face from the evil!

The Lord is watching each of us as believer's right now.  God hears our prayers and sees and hears us.  There is great comfort in knowing that an all powerful and all knowing God is watching over us right now.  Every prayer we utter and every need we have, He is aware of and does respond.  Our prayers are answered in our best interest if we are in God's will and doing what is right.  Knowing this is what allows us to understand that the "fear of God" is the beginning of wisdom.  What a contrast between those that accept and receive the Lord and those that reject and disrespect Him.   That is why we have turned from our evil ways.  That is why we thank God for our Salvation every day.  THE EYES AND EARS OF THE LORD are a blessing to those that love God!

CHRISTMAS!

MATTHEW - MARK - LUKE

Christmas is a word made up of two parts.  Christ and Mass.  Traditionally the Mass for Christ was held each year on the 25Th of December to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.  It was a festival of lights and gifts and songs and celebration.   The Word became flesh and dwelt among us when the baby Jesus was born in a manger.  The Saviour of the world was born!  Light came into the world that was in darkness.  God revealed His plan of Salvation and Redemption to all men.  The birth of Jesus Christ was God's gift to all of us.  Christians still know and realize what Christmas is all about.  The non believing world still tries to obscure the message and marginalize the birth of our Lord.  Non believer's agonize over the Christmas celebration because they have not accepted the free gift of life from the Lord.  They try to destroy the message in every conceivable way because they do not understand it.  Even some believer's have distorted the true message of Christmas.

What is Christmas to you?  Is it a time to eat, drink and be merry?  Is it a time to receive gifts?

Instead of a birthday celebration for Jesus Christ, has it become a birthday party for you and all your family?  How much time have you devoted to thanking and praising God for the gift of our Lord and Saviour in the flesh?  We need to guard against the world and non believer's who are only trying to enrich themselves and destroy the beauty of the true message.  The world has gone out of its way to substitute toys, Santa, and numerous traditions to obscure what Christ Mass is all about.  Santa can not save you or give you new and eternal life.  Do not let the world take your eyes of the true message of this important day.  Christ Saves!  Praise the Lord!

Can you believe the audacity of non believer's.  It is not enough that they are ignorant and unwise, they want to control the lives of everyone and deny us the Joy and Love and Happiness that comes with the birth of Christ.  They do not want us to celebrate the birth of the Lord because they do not want to bow down to the King of King and the Lord of Lords.  From the beginning there have been two groups of people.  Those who love and serve God and those who have rejected and disrespected the Lord.  Those that reject God want to continue in their sin and deviant behavior.  They despise the influence and power of Christmas and they hate God. 

If you Love Jesus, celebrate His birth.  Remember who the party is for and who is the guest of honor.  Teach your family and friends what Christ Mass is for!  Influence the world and show everyone what you know and believe.  That Jesus Christ is the Lord God.  Merry Christmas! 

STAY ALERT!

1 PETER 5: 8

"STAY ALERT!  Watch out for your great enemy the devil.  He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour."

If you do not believe in the devil, then you probably do not believe in God.  That means that the devil is winning when it comes to your life.  Non believer's ridicule the idea of the devil, do you?  The Word of God and the One Truth Today tells us that there is a devil and he is your enemy and he wants to devour you and cause you to die.  Jesus Christ mentions the devil on many occasions and the Lord believes that the devil exists, shouldn't you?  The devil is the enemy of God and wants to be God.  He is a fallen angel who has been expelled from heaven and will spend eternity in Hell with all of his minions and those who serve him.  The devil is cunning and deceitful and the father of all lies.  He wants to lead you to eventual death.  STAY ALERT!

The devil is the enemy of God, but more importantly he is your enemy.  He knows he is winning if you do not even believe that he exists.  That is part of the devils plan, to make you doubt the Word of God.  The devils lies include telling Eve that "surely you would not die' if you took of the tree of knowledge.  Has the devil deceived you also?  If you have the Lord Jesus Christ in your heart and life then you will be able to discern and understand the plan of the devil.  You will learn to resist the devil and to flee from him.  The Word of God helps us STAY ALERT!

The image of the devil prowling around the earth, roaring like a lion, and looking for someone to devour is powerful.  Until the Lord returns the devil will never stop lying and trying to deceive man.  He will look for the weak and vulnerable.  He wants to find those whose belief and faith in the Word of God is weak.  They are the most vulnerable.  Non believer's have no defense to the devil and succumb to many of his tricks.  As a believer you know of the existence of the devil and are aware of his lies and tricks.  You have to defend you the Lord and His Word.  Stand firm and resist the devils temptations.  With the Lord and His Word as our defense, the devil will flee from us!  STAY ALERT!

LYING!

1 JOHN 1: 6

"So we are LYING if we say we have fellowship with God, but go on living in spiritual darkness.  We are not practicing the Truth!"

Man is born in sin.  It is our natural instinct to commit sins and to lie.  You can see it in a little child that smiles and tells you a lie.  You can see it in those that try to hide their true persona behind a fake smile and demeanor.  Perhaps it is most apparent when those who profess to know and love the Lord Jesus Christ commit egregious acts against man, society and God.  An example would be the pastor that runs off with the church secretary and commits adultery.  It would be a religious wife who carries on an affair while being a peer in the church.  It is the silent alcoholic, drug user or pornography addict that claims to Love the Lord.  You are LYING if you say you have fellowship with God and go on living in spiritual darkness.

When we open the door to our heart and ask Jesus Christ to come in and dwell with us, we become a new creature with a new and eternal life.  Old things pass away and all our previous sins are forgiven and forgotten.  We put away the natural man and become a new spiritual child of God.  Then the closer we get to Him the more we become like Jesus.  Once you have tasted the sweetness of the Lord it should be impossible to return to your old sinful nature.  That is what the One Truth Today is all about.  Are you practicing the Truth?  Do you have a spiritual fellowship with God or are you still living in spiritual darkness and sin?  Are you LYING?

If you continue to commit habitual sins against God then you may question if you ever came to the Lord or have been Saved.  If you are still an adulterer, alcoholic, drug addict or liar you need to stop and reflect on your Salvation.  If you do not put God first in your life and everything that you do then you have a question to answer.  Do you honor your parents?  Are you stealing, or committing crimes against man and God, then you are LYING  to the Lord!

In short are you practicing Truth and living in spiritual righteousness and light?  When you sin, do you repent and confess them to the Lord?  If  you say you have fellowship with God then you do.  If you continue in spiritual darkness then you are LYING!    

WHO IS A LIAR!

"WHO IS A LIAR?  Anyone who says that Jesus is not the Christ.  Anyone who denies the Father and the Son is an Anti Christ."

The world has always, and continues to be, separated into two distinct groups of people.  The first group believes that Jesus Christ is the Lord God.  They know that Jesus Christ, the Father and the Holy Spirit are the one and only True God.  This group places all there hope and future in the hands of the Lord who Saves them.  Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life, and to deny Him is to separate yourself from God.  The Word of God is filled with His Truth.  In fact that is how we can provide the One Truth Today that enlightens our life and increases our faith.  We know that there is no other way that leads to life and any other way leads to death.  

WHO IS A LIAR?  We all know people who have trouble telling the truth.  In fact many get a reputation as a liar.  They make up the second distinct group of people in the world today.  This is the group who say that Jesus is not the Christ and who reject the Salvation of the Lord.  They deny there is a God and His Son is Jesus Christ and they reject the Holy Spirit.  They are known as Anti Christ people.  They oppose the Lord Jesus in any way possible and have to destroy Him in order to allow their deviant and sinful behavior.  They will never be Saved and will never be given new and eternal life as long as they cling to their unbelief.  The do not have the Son and they do not have the Father and they will never be filled with the Holy Spirit.  

Every day it is becoming more and more palpable that the split between these two groups is not decreasing, but, increasing.  The groups are diametrically opposed and there is no middle ground.  You are either for the Lord or you are against Him.  You are either for Christ or you are Anti Christ.   The end result of those in either group is predictable and known.  The ones that know and tell the Truth will be Saved and spend eternity in Heaven with the Lord.  The ones who deny and reject Jesus Christ will be separated from God forever and suffer damnation and eternal death.  One has Fear, knowledge and the love of God, the other does not.  They will be judged by their choice at the time of their first death.  If the Anti Christ do not change their mind and open their heart to the Lord, they will be lost forever.  Remember the words of the devil, "did God really say that you would die?"  Yes He did and God is Truth.  WHO IS A LIAR?

Anyone who says that Jesus is not the Christ.  Anyone who denies the Father and the Son is an Anti Christ!

FOOLING OURSELVES!

1 JOHN 1: 8-9

"If we claim we have no sin, we are only FOOLING OURSELVES and not living in the Truth.  If we confess our sins to the Lord, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness."

Do you think of your self as a "good person".  No one is Good except God!  If we claim we have no sin we are only FOOLING OURSELVES!  There are Christians that think that once they have accepted the Lord into their lives they never sin again, and they are "good people".  If you do this you are not living in the Truth.  When you sin it is imperative that you confess it to the Lord.  He is faithful to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us from wickedness.  There are many who while in the midst of committing habitual sins deny it to others and even to themselves, but you can not fool the Lord!  We are all sinners, born into sin and living in sin even after we give our hearts to Jesus Christ.  In this corrupt world it is possible to sin every day.  The One Truth Today tells us to stop FOOLING OURSELVES.  Confess your sins and thank Jesus Christ that you will not die for your sins but will be Saved by the Lord!

How about you personally, do you claim that you do not sin?  You are not living in the Truth and you are calling the Lord a liar.  The fact that you claim to never sin is in and of itself a sin!  

In order to live in the light and have true fellowship and righteousness with God you have to be truthful to yourself and God.  Acknowledge that we are all sinners and only the blood of Jesus Christ can cleanse us of all wickedness, when we confess our sins to Him.  We can not lie about our choices and actions.  We need to confess them before the Lord and ask for forgiveness when we miss the mark.  That is the only way that you can get rid of all the wickedness that enters your life.  We have to stop FOOLING OURSELVES.

If the Lord has a place in your heart you will be aware of when you sin and you will be compelled to confess and ask His forgiveness.  Accept the truth that no one is good, no not one, and no one is free from sin except God Himself.  It is part of our becoming righteous and faithful to God that we live in Truth and confess our sins.  Thank God that He is faithful to always forgive us and cleanse us from all of our wickedness.  We must acknowledge the darkness of sin and seek the light of our Saviour.  Without the blood of Jesus Christ there would be no forgiveness of sin and no washing of sin in His Blood.  We would be dead in our sin and by denying instead of confessing our sins we are only FOOLING OURSELVES.  

LIVING IN HIM!

1 JOHN 2: 5-6

"Those who obey God's Word truly show how completely they love Him.  That is how we know we are LIVING IN HIM.  Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did."

How can you show that you truly love God?  How can you tell if someone is LIVING IN HIM? The One Truth Today has the answer.  You truly love God if you obey His Word.  If you are living your life as Jesus did, then you truly Love God.  Are you just a hearer of the Word, or do you put the Word into practice in your life.  If you say that you are living your life as Jesus did, then you will be doing the perfect will of God.  Are you obeying God's commandments and do you live by His Word?  Those who obey God's Word truly show how completely they Love Him.  

In today's vernacular we would say that we are walking the walk and not just talking the talk! 

If we are going to abide in Jesus Christ the Lord God and have Him abide in us, then by definition, we will have to live our lives as He did.  We understand that we can not be perfect, but it is our responsibility to walk the straight and narrow path toward God.  We are to treasure His Word and understand His precepts.  We are to observe His messages to us and then we are to obey them.  That is what is known as living in Him.  We will know that we are living in Him when we reach a maturity in our relationship with Jesus Christ and confess our failures and sins when we miss the mark.  Our goal is to be LIVING IN HIM!

So if you say you abide in Jesus Christ you ought to walk, talk and conduct yourself in a like manner, based on the Word of God.  This is our obligation as a believer.  The threshold question becomes, am I obeying the Word of God and living my life under the model of Jesus? 

That is how we can prove that we truly love the Lord.  Am I becoming more like Jesus with each passing day?  Am I obeying God the Father and doing His Will?  The question will be answered and your love will be displayed for all to see, if you obey God's Word.  Am I living my life like Jesus?  Then I am LIVING IN HIM! 

MORE AND MORE GRACE AND PEACE!!

2 PETER 1: 2

"May God give you MORE AND MORE GRACE AND PEACE, as you grow in your knowledge of Jesus Christ the Lord God."

Peace, peace and there is no peace.  That is the state of the world and particularly for those who are not in the "will of God".  Non believer's can never know the peace that passes understanding!  There is a peace that comes from the Grace and Salvation of the Lord Jesus Christ.  His Peace allows us to go through the trials of this world, with the complete knowledge and understanding that we are just passing through and our heavenly reward is before us. What can mere men do to our bodies or life, nothing eternal.  We do not fear men, we fear the God who can Save us and give us new and eternal life.  If we know and Love God and grow in the knowledge of Him,  then we have MORE AND MORE GRACE AND PEACE!  

The One Truth Today is a prayer for the believer's.  We should all pray that it become a reality in our lives.  As we grow in the Lord, the promise is that God will give us MORE AND MORE GRACE AND PEACE.  Peter's prayer is for each of us.  Most of us know that this is the truth in that we have experienced more and more grace and peace as our journey with the Lord goes on.

The more we learn about the Lord, the closer we walk with Him, the straighter that our path becomes to God, we obtain more and more peace.  That is the Power of the Word of God.  It gives us reassurance and security for our future and makes our present full of  a peace that passes the understanding of non believer's.  The Lord's Truth has set us Free!

We should all pray that God will give us even MORE AND MORE GRACE AND PEACE, every day.  The way to ensure the response of God is to continually grow in your knowledge of God and His Word.  The more we understand the Lord and His plan for our lives, the more confident we become in His promises.  God has assured us eternal life in Heaven if we hold out until the very end.  If we believe in Him and His promises it is accounted unto us as faith.  This is the fulfillment of the promises of the Prophets, laws and commandments of God.   The more they are a part of your life, the more grace and peace you will have.  It is the personification of the justice and fairness of Jesus Christ the Lord God!

LIVE FOREVER!

1 JOHN 2: 17

"This world is fading away, along with everything that people crave.  Anyone who pleases God will  LIVE FOREVER!"

Have you ever wanted to live forever?  Throughout history man has made many attempts to find a way to "live forever".  The Egyptian Pharaohs tried mummification in order to cross the river of the dead.  The latest attempt is cryogenics.  By freezing a part of their body they hope to make a comeback in the future.  There are popular stories of vampires and other creatures that are supposedly going to live forever as a creature from the dark side of hell.  They all represent a desire on the part of man to be able to live forever and to cheat death.  The fear of death is the driving force that haunts these beliefs.   We are all just fading away and our end is inevitable.  The ratio between life and death is 1:1.   Do you want to LIVE FOREVER?  Learn the One Truth Today!

There is only one way that you can LIVE FOREVER!  There is only one way that you can have a new eternal and spiritual life.  There is only one way that you can enter the Kingdom of Heaven and live without pain or sorrow forever.  There is only one way that you can avoid the second and eternal death and damnation, with eternal separation from God .  ANYONE WHO PLEASES GOD WILL LIVE FOREVER!  Now that is "Good News".  Yes, the world is fading away along with everything that people crave, but that does not mean that you have to be included.  If you have accepted the Lord into your heart and accepted the free gift of Salvation, then you have "pleased God".  Your free gift of eternal life, means you will be received into heaven and there remain and LIVE FOREVER!

The answer to eternal life is so simple.  The choice is up to each individual and you can either accept or reject the Lord and His gift of eternal life.  You must know that Jesus Christ is the Lord God and have opened the door to your heart to allow Him to enter and dwell with you.

You will know and believe that He died for you on the cross and rose again to conquer death.  The Lord ascended into Heaven and waits there now, for all believer's.  If you have pleased God, then you will LIVE FOREVER!  You and the world are fading away fast and so many things can happen at any moment, your choices, decisions and actions, will determine whether you live forever or die eternally.    Your choice, your consequence!  Choose eternal life!

CONSTANT IMPROVEMENT!

REVELATION 2: 19

"I know all the things you do.  I have seen your love, your faith, your service, and your patient endurance.  I can see your CONSTANT IMPROVEMENT in all things."

We know that God is omniscient, all knowing, and therefore He knows all about you and me! What we do in the dark is seen in His light.  What we whisper in secret He hears and it is shouted from the housetops.  There is nothing you can say or do that God does not know about.  The Lord knows us by name and in fact He knew you before you entered your mother's womb.  That is why the One Truth Today is so awesome.  God has seen our love, faith, and service to Him.  He is well aware of our persistence, endurance and patience toward Him.  There is only one more question that you could be asked, has the Lord seen your CONSTANT IMPROVEMENT?

God knows if we have been charitable.  He knows if your charitable gifts are increasing or decreasing.  The record is clear to the Lord in all things and He knows if we are increasing or whether we are diminishing in the His sight.  Are your more recent works greater and more numerous than when you first came to the Lord?  God knows every deed we have ever done. Just as a new baby grows in size and strength He expects our spiritual body to grow and mature as our life continues.  The question of the day is, has your spiritual life grown and has there been CONSTANT IMPROVEMENT?  

The answer is a resounding yes for most of us.  It is the natural consequence of becoming more like Jesus Christ that we would grow in our love, faith and service to God.  With the peace of the Lord that comes to men in God's will, we grow in patience and endurance.  As we walk closer to God we become more like Him.  There is a way to test your walk with the Lord Jesus Christ.  There is a way to test your faith in God.  Are you becoming more and more like the Lord every day and can He see in you CONSTANT IMPROVEMENT?  Has your love of God and your fellow man increased?  Has your faith become stronger and deeper with each passing year?  Has your service to God and others increased and improved?  Are you more patient and tolerant as the years go bye?  The Lord knows all things and He has seen all things about you, can He see a CONSTANT IMPROVEMENT?

WHATEVER YOU DESERVE!

REVELATION 2: 23

"I am the one who searches out the thoughts and intentions of every person.  

  I will give to each of you WHATEVER YOU DESERVE!"

In the One Truth Today, God is telling us that we will get what we deserve and that we deserve whatever we get.  You can not hide anything from God.  He searches your thoughts, acts and intentions.  All men are sinful by nature.  It comes naturally to each of us to be deceitful in our thoughts and intentions.  We often try to hide our true thoughts and feelings from others. What if other people knew our true thoughts and intentions, would there be chaos?  If your spouse asks you how she looks, what if they could read your thoughts?  What if your child asked you how you liked their drawing or painting, and they could know what you thought? What if you told the truth to everyone that asked you a question?  You would get WHATEVER YOU DESERVE!

God searches our thoughts, feelings and intentions and knows exactly what we are thinking.  You can run from the omniscient God but you can not hide.  Unlike your human relations, He knows the truth.  If you tell someone that you love them and you do not, God knows.  If you do not respect your father or mother, God knows.  If you do not have Jesus Christ the Lord God as the first and most important thing in your life, you are not fooling Him.  If you worship other idols or images you are not fooling God.  If you say you are not a murderer but you have been complicate in an abortion of an unborn child, then you are not fooling God.   If you steal even something small, God knows about it.  If  you commit adultery, you may fool your spouse for a time, but, you will never fool God.  We are all sinners and without the Salvation of the Lord we would get WHATEVER WE DESERVE!

As believer's we should be careful about our thoughts.  Our actions and intentions should be in concert with the Word of God.  What we whisper to others will be shouted from the house tops and what we do in the dark will be seen in the light.  We need to be sincere and honest in our words, thoughts and feelings.  If we are not, we may fool others but we will never fool God. You will  be rewarded in heaven in accordance with the totality of your thoughts and intentions. Make sure that you accept the free gift of Salvation and eternal life from the Lord Jesus and that you are sincere in accepting Him.  Your relationship with God is predicated on that choice and action.  If you fail to bow your knee to the Living God and confess your sins to Him then you will get WHATEVER YOU DESERVE!

IS THE DOOR OPEN OR CLOSED?

REVELATION 3: 7

"This is the message from the one who is Holy and True, the one who has the key of David.  WHAT HE OPENS, NO ONE CAN CLOSE,  WHAT HE CLOSES, NO ONE CAN OPEN!"

Did you open the door of your heart to Jesus Christ the Lord God?  Have you closed the door to your heart to the Lord God?  The Lord knows everything about you personally, and the answers to the above questions will determine whether or not you are welcomed into or left out of the Kingdom of God!  When you opened the door to your heart and welcomed the Lord to come in and dwell with you, He promised that NO ONE CAN CLOSE THAT DOOR.  When you obeyed God and persevered, you insured that the door to heaven will never be closed to you.  The Lord will Save you and protect you.  The Key was Jesus Christ and He opened a door that no one can close, except Him.  Remember His Words; "behold I stand at the door and knock, If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in and dwell with you!"

Conversely, WHEN THE LORD CLOSES THE DOOR, NO ONE CAN OPEN IT!  Only Jesus Christ has David's key to heaven and no one else can allow your entry.  No Jesus Christ in your heart, a closed door to the Kingdom of Heaven!  That should bring about the "fear of God" that is the beginning of wisdom.  No one, including yourself or any other human, or so called god can open the door to Heaven.  Do not be fooled by fools!  When you reject Jesus Christ the Lord God you are going to be separated from God and suffer the second and eternal death and punishment!  You have had many chances to make the right choice and if you have remained neutral or have rejected the Lord you are responsible.  There are consequences to your choices, and the justice is that you opened, or closed the door to God.  You either choose to accept the free gift of life or not.  You either belong to God or you do not!  Your no vote, or non vote will CLOSE THE DOOR!

Those of us who are victorious will sit with Lord in the throne room of Heaven and so will we be with Him always.  Those who made a non choice or negative choice will suffer separation and eternal damnation.  Any one who has an ear, let him hear.  Salvation comes from hearing the Word of God, may the Spirit be heard by all who are called.  Remember the Lord said that He stands at the door to your heart and knocks.  He did not say He would knock the door down. If you hear that still small voice speaking to your heart, open the door and ask Him to come in and dwell with you and be your Lord and Saviour.  With regard to your heart and Jesus Christ, IS THE DOOR OPEN OR CLOSED?

THEY ARE MINE!

REVELATION 3: 5

"All who are victorious will be clothed in white.  I will never erase their names from the Book of Life.  I will announce before my Father and His Angels that 

THEY ARE MINE!"

I personally find great comfort in the One Truth Today.  This is the promise of Jesus Christ, the Lord God, that if I remain victorious, He will keep my name in the Book of Life and will announce before the Father and His Angels that I belong to Him!  If we hold out to the very end, as His children,  the Lord will cloth us in white and declare that THEY ARE MINE!  That is why we will be victorious.  Open your heart to the Lord and invite Him to come in and dwell with you forever.  Become more like Jesus Christ every day.  Grow in your faith and righteousness every year.  You can never leave the Lord once you have tasted how sweet and good He is, where could you go?  I want to here the Lord declare at the judgement, THEY ARE MINE!

We need to hear His promises.  The Lord will be our advocate at the Great White Throne judgement.  He will announce before the Father and His Angels that we are His.  We will be clothed in white and be given new and eternal life.  We will spend eternity in Heaven with the Lord forever.  Our names will be permanently written in the Lambs Book of Life, and they can never be erased.  All of our sins will be forgiven and forgotten.  Because we believed the Word of God and His Truths we will be victorious.  To those that have an ear, let them hear!

How about you personally, have you made a commitment of your life to the Lord Jesus Christ? Have you been saved, from your sin and death, and been given new life?  Have you learned the Word of God and His commandments?  Have you listened to the Prophets and gained understanding?  Have you grown in the Lord?  Are you walking on the straight and narrow path of truth and righteousness?  Remember the scripture tells us to be victorious we must hold out the the very end of our time.  Are you sure that at the time of your death and judgement that you will hear the Lord say, THEY ARE MINE?

A TERRIBLE THING!

HEBREWS 10: 31

"It is A TERRIBLE THING to fall into the hands of the living God."

The One Truth Today is a warning to all those who do not believe, Jesus Christ the Lord God!  

Remember as believer's we know that the beginning of wisdom is the "fear of God".  Without the Saving Grace of Jesus Christ, we were dead in our sin and condemned to separation from God and eternal damnation.  If that does not seem like A TERRIBLE THING to you, then you are dead in your sin.  Many people find it hard to understand why we should be afraid of God.  In fact they will say that if God is good then how could He do anything to harm me?  They are correct, if they love God and have opened the door to their heart to Him then they have nothing to fear.  God does not want anyone to perish.  That is why you need the Word of God to understand.  

If you do not fear, know, or love God, and believe He will save you , then you have chosen to separate yourself from Him.  If you have chosen to reject Jesus Christ, the Lord God your choice has consequences.  You have been given free will and free choice and is up to every individual to accept or reject the "living God".  If you do not make a choice, that is a choice and the result is the same as rejecting the Lord.  You are either for God or Against God and you are responsible for the choice.  There is no neutral.  If you reject God you are in peril or God's judgement and that is A TERRIBLE THING!   You are going to fall into the hands of the Living God.  You will be responsible for your choices and there consequences.  

It is appointed unto man once to die, and then the judgement.  Those who have Jesus Christ as an advocate will not suffer the second death, in fact they will be given new, and eternal life.  We will receive unmerited mercy and be Saved.  If you have not received Jesus Christ into your heart then you will rejected by the Lord as though He never knew you.  You will be separated from God for eternity and you will suffer damnation in utter darkness and Hell.  It is A TERRIBLE THING to fall into the hands of the living God, if you have rejected Him.  That is why the "fear of God" is the beginning of wisdom.  If this does not cause fear in your heart then you have made your choice and the judgement of the Lord about you will be just and fair.  

WHAT ABOUT TOMORROW?

JAMES 4: 13-14-15

"Look here you who say today or tomorrow we are going to a certain town and will stay there a year.  How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog, here for a little while and then it is gone.  What you out to say is, If the Lord is willing, we will live to do this or that."

What about your tomorrow?  Have you planned out your day or your whole life?  Have you planned for the kind of spouse you will marry and how many children you will have?  Have you planned you job or vocation?  Do you know for certain what town you will live in and what kind of home you will have?  Then there is the big question; how long will you live, to what age?  How will you die and of what cause?  At any given time we may have short, intermediate or long term goals, but, that is just a plan, not reality.  When ever you make a plan for tomorrow or for you life, remember the One Truth Today.  IF THE LORD IS WILLING, we will live to do this or that.  We are going to do this or that, GOD WILLING!

No one knows what will happen in their tomorrow.  How many times have you been surprised by events and happenings that dramatically changed your life?  Look back on your life and you will see that you are not really in control of the world.  The true nature of our life is like a wisp of smoke or a temporary fog.  We are visible for a little while and then we are gone.  Like fame and fortune we are fleeting, here today and gone tomorrow.  How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow?  You do not!  WHAT ABOUT TOMORROW?  We will do this or that IF THE LORD IS WILLING!  If the Lord wants us to, we will live to do this or that.

This is a simple acknowledgement on our part that God is control of the Universe, the world and even our lives.  If our plans are in concert with His will, then they will occur.  Remember Julius Cesar thought he was the emperor of the world and a God, but in fact when he called for the census that brought Joseph and Mary to Bethlehem for the birth of Jesus Christ, it was God that was in control.   We should never proclaim our future or be presumptuous and full of self conceit about our plans.  Boasting about tomorrow is just that.  When you are planning your tomorrows make sure you remember to add GOD WILLING or IF THE LORD IS WILLING!

TRUE WISDOM!

PSALM 111: 10

"Fear of the Lord is the foundation of all TRUE WISDOM.  All who obey His commandments will grow in wisdom!"

Do you consider yourself wise?  Did you ever watch the $64,000.00 question, or any other quiz show and become amazed at the amount of knowledge that a contestant had?  Would you call the contestant wise?  Perhaps you know someone with a number of degrees that has graduated from a college or university.  Do you think therefore that they are wise?  When you listen to politicians or leaders pontificate or argue among themselves, do you think they are wise?  The One Truth Today is to point out that TRUE WISDOM has a firm foundation.  Worldly knowledge or memory ability are not wisdom.  A parrot is not wise!  If  educated men were truly wise then why is there still disease, war, and chaos in the world?  What is TRUE WISDOM?

There is only one foundation and one true cornerstone of TRUE WISDOM and that belongs to the Lord.  The beginning of wisdom is the Fear of God.  That is correct, the fear, knowledge, and love of God are the foundation of TRUE WISDOM.  When we know the Word of God and obey His commandments we will grow in wisdom.  The reverent fear and worship of Jesus Christ the Lord God gives us the beginning of wisdom and knowledge.  What allows our wisdom to grow is the continual obedience and study of His Word.  The essential prerequisite for our being wise is to fear the All Mighty God.  If you fear the Lord you will listen to His Word and you will do His Will.  Does that describe you?  Do you have TRUE WISDOM?

Before you listen and believe any political leader, professor or teacher, television or radio personality, ask yourself this one question.  Do they know, fear and love the Lord God!   If they have no fear of the Lord and they do not love Him, then they do not even have the beginning of wisdom.  They have no foundation of understanding of true knowledge so why would you listen to them?  Do not be fooled by a fool!  TRUE WISDOM comes from those who have a foundation of fear, love and knowledge of the Lord.  If they obey His commandments they will grow in wisdom and should have your respect.  The world is divided into to two groups of people, those who fear God and obey His commandments, and those who reject God and refuse to bow their knees to the Living God.  The first group have wisdom and eternal life.  The second group have separation from God and eternal chaos and damnation.  Who are the fools and who have TRUE WISDOM? 

LETS GET TOGETHER!

HEBREWS 10: 25

"Let us not neglect our meeting together, as some Christians do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of Jesus return is drawing near."

Some Christians do not believe that they need to go to Church or gather together with other believer's.  The One Truth Today points out what God thinks about the subject.  The real issue is whether it is possible to be a "secret Christian".  Jesus Christ gave His life for us publicly and He suffered the shame and humiliation of the death on the cross for us.  This act of love was done with full knowledge of the consequences.  If we are to emulate and be like the Lord then we too have a responsibility to be public about our faith and belief in God.  Yes there are circumstances when life and security are at stake and that must be taken into consideration, but never the less, we must not neglect our meeting together and encouraging one another.  

The day of the return of Jesus Christ is drawing nigh, LETS GET TOGETHER!

We are advised not to forsake one another or neglect the gathering together of the believer's.

Some Christians avoid Church.  They have many excuses and can tell many stories of why they no longer get together with other believer's.  They may not want to be admonished or warned by their peers.  They may not want to encourage others for a variety of reasons.  The problem is that they believe that they are smarter than the Word of God.  There is great peace to be found when you are surrounded by like thinkers and believer's who can reinforce the Word of God. Singing alone may be OK but singing with the Church is more inspiring.   No man is an island and God did not want us to neglect meeting together with the Church. LETS GET TOGETHER!

The world is becoming more evil and dangerous with every passing year.  The only place that you can truly find peace is in the Lord and in His Church, a strong tower to run into.  To make good decisions requires many counselors and where is the best place to find the right answers but with true believer's of the Lord's Word.  If you draw into seclusion, for whatever reason, you are not listening to the Truth of the Lord.  Self sufficiency can be a lonely place of seclusion.

To find the greatest joy, love and peace in this world listen to the wisdom in this scripture. LETS GET TOGETHER!

WE WHO BELIEVE CAN ENTER HIS REST!

HEBREWS 4: 3

"For only WE WHO BELIEVE CAN ENTER HIS REST!  As for others God said, in my anger I took an oath: they will never enter my place of rest."

If you want to know why the beginning of wisdom is the "fear of God", digest and learn this One Truth Today.  Only those who believe in God can enter His Rest!  Eternal life in Heaven is at stake for each of us in this scripture.  That is why there is peace on earth and in heaven for men in God's will.  That is why if you do not believe and accept Jesus Christ into your heart you will be eternally separated from God and will never enter His Rest.  Those who do not fear God are damned!  There is only one caveat to those of us here on earth who want to have eternal life in Heaven.  You have to "believe in God", accept His Word and have faith that the Lord will lead you to rest in Him.  If you are a child of God you will spend eternity in Heaven with the Lord!

God has declared that only those who believed and trusted Him, as a result of their reliance, will enter His place of rest.  God never lies.  This has been His plan from the beginning to Save us from our sin and give us eternal life as a result of His Mercy.  The plan is clear to all who will listen.  The problem is only for those who do not want to hear or believe in God.  God has taken an oath, "they will never enter my rest".  Non believer's will never enter Heaven and instead will be eternally separated from the Lord.  They will have no peace here on earth, or in the kingdom to come.  The place God has prepared for believer's can not be shared by those who reject Jesus Christ the Lord God.  If you are not afraid of this you are dead in your sin!

What a contrast of consequences to your choice of accepting or rejecting God.  We each have a personal choice to make and we are each responsible for our choice.  This is the most important decision you will ever have to make during your life.  Do you open the door to your heart and allow the Lord to come in and dwell with you and Save you?  Do you reject Jesus Christ, the Lord God and harden your heart to the Gospel, the "Good News", that Jesus Saves?

Listen again to the Word of God.  For only we who believe can enter His rest.  As  for others God said, in my anger I took an oath: THEY WILL NEVER ENTER MY PLACE OF REST!  Your choice, your consequence.  Do you fear God?  The beginning of wisdom is the fear of God!

OH GOD!

HEBREWS 1: 8

"To the Son, God says, Your throne OH GOD endures forever and ever.  You rule with a scepter of justice."

Many have trouble with the idea of the "Trinity".  After all our mind is not God's mind and it can be difficult to grasp the idea of "three God heads in one".  If we separate them we can easily see God the Father.  We can even understand that Jesus Christ is both the Son of God and the Lord God.  It is not difficult to comprehend that the Holy Spirit is God found everywhere, including in our hearts.  Placing them together as one entity is a more difficult proposition for our finite minds.  To the simple mind of man, how can three be one?  Our One Truth Today is meant to help us to grasp what God is trying to tell us.  Remember God is infinite and not finite, His mind is above our minds.  To understand we need to have faith in His Holy Word!

Listen to what God is saying to His Son, Jesus Christ.  God said, "your throne OH GOD endures forever and ever".  In essence the one God head is declaring to the other God head, that you are God.  They are one and the same, sharing the same throne and the same scepter of justice.  We know that God is speaking to His Son Jesus Christ because He said so.  We know that God addresses Jesus Christ as "OH GOD", and this confirms to us the three part nature of the One True God.  In the beginning was the Word, or Spirit, and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, confirmed that the Spirit became Jesus Christ who God calls His Son, OH GOD! Thus we have the "Trinity".  

Later in this chapter of Hebrews God says to His Son, "In the beginning Lord you laid the foundation of the earth and made the heavens with your hands".  So the Son was from the beginning and is called Lord.  The equation is simple even to the human mind, Jesus Christ is the Lord God and was from the beginning as the Word or Spirit.  Some may choose not to hear the Word of God and may reject the Trinity but the Word is clear and not ambiguous.  The purpose of this scripture is to make certain that we can say without hesitation that Jesus Christ is the Lord God.  OH GOD, thank you for this truth today.  The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are the One True God!

GOD SPOKE IN MANY WAYS!

HEBREWS 1: 1-2

"Long ago GOD SPOKE many times and IN MANY WAYS to our ancestors through the prophets.  Now in these final days God has spoken to us through His Son."

All mighty God wanted to talk to us.  How could He do it?  It is true that the heavens declare the "Glory of the Lord", but how did God communicate with man?  God is omnipotent and omniscient, and He is omnipresent, so being all powerful and all knowing and always present He found a way.  The One Truth Today points out that God spoke through the Prophets.  In fact God spoke through His Word by over forty authors in both the Old Testament and the New testament! God now speaks through His Son Jesus Christ the Lord God.  We need to listen when God speaks to us.  Jesus Christ now speaks to all generations and to all people.  We have God's manual for our lives in the Holy Bible, if we will just read it and then put it to work in our lives.  GOD SPOKE IN MANY WAYS, in order to save us and give us eternal life!

In the last days, after many revelations from separate writers, God revealed His Son Jesus Christ .  The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.  We could Listen and Learn from God! The Bible is the record of the Lord's life and the Prophets words becoming reality.  The God that made the universe and inspired the Old Testament authors, now became a God/man and Spoke directly to us.  We have learned about God using our five senses in the person of Jesus Christ.  God spoke and the apostles gave us a record of what He did and said.  So the scripture for today is correct when it points out that, GOD SPOKE IN MANY WAYS!

We are so fortunate that God speaks to us and cares about us so much that He would send His only begotten Son to Save us.  God loves us and wants us to know about Him and His thoughts and His Word.  To him who has an ear, listen and hear.  To him who has an eye let him see.  To those who are searching for God and the Truth, let them come.  To those who are thirsty for knowledge and righteousness, let them come and drink from the fountain of Life.  God did not just whisper to you.  God from the days of old has spoken to us in many ways and at many times and then He even gave us Jesus Christ the Lord God.  God is not hiding from you, are you hiding from Him?  You have no excuse if you do not know God.  GOD SPOKE IN MANY WAYS! 

SUBMIT TO THE GOVERNMENT

TITUS 3: 1

"Remind the believer's to SUBMIT TO THE GOVERNMENT and its officers.  They should be obedient, always ready to do what is good."

The One Truth Today can be difficult to understand for many of us.  If an election does not go our way and our candidate loses to an opponent we dislike, what does God want us to do!  What if the new government is one that does not have the same ideas and attitudes that we hold near and dear?  What if we believe that the new leaders will take our country down a path that will lead to destruction and a demoralizing of our citizens.  They may want to increase our taxes and stifle descent.  We may may believe that they will bring an end to civilization and our country as we know it.  What if we can never recover?  As believer's, what are we to do?

SUBMIT TO THE GOVERNMENT and its officers.  That is pretty straightforward and a clear statement from the Word of God.  We need to be reminded of this expectation of the Lord from time to time.  We are to accept the elected officials and officers and accept and respect them. This is in contrast to doing what is evil.  The Lord is in control of everything and He places those in authority over us.  Sometimes if you turn you back on God as a country you should expect that God make turn His back on our country.  Perhaps this is the Lord's way of awakening the electorate as to how important their vote and participation is.  We have to remain upright and honorable and obedient, always ready to do what is good.  We have to SUBMIT TO THE GOVERNMENT.  Remember that even though the Emperor of Rome thought he was in control of his empire, in fact God called him to enforce a census in all the world that allowed Jesus Christ to be born in Bethlehem, just as the Word of God predicted.  

We are not to slander or physically harm our rulers and officials.  Do not quarrel with their representatives.   After pointing out your position, that is in conformity with the Word of God, you will have a chance to vote and place a candidate of your choice at the next election.  We should always be humble and gentle and righteous.  Remember also that we are just pilgrims passing through this world and this is not your home.  What occurs on a temporary basis here on earth is only for a moment.  Look up for your redemption is drawing nigh.   This king is not the King of Kings, this leader is not the Leader of Men, the Lord Jesus Christ.  They have no control over your eternal soul or body.  Even though your life is not perfect now, it will be for eternity.  Remember, God wants you to SUBMIT TO THE GOVERNMENT until His return and then you will be a citizen of Heaven.  Do not focus on the horizontal but concentrate on the vertical destination.   

WHERE IS YOUR FAITH?

LUKE 8: 24-25

"Jesus rebuked the wind and the raging waters.  The storm stopped and all was calm.  Then Jesus asked them, WHERE IS YOUR FAITH?"

Do you worry a lot?  Are you concerned about what could or might happen to you?  Do you panic when you are confronted with an emergency or difficult problem?  Are you so afraid of everything that you fail to live, because you are afraid to die?  The One Truth Today is meant to point out to you that how you react to life has a lot to do with the measure of your faith in Jesus Christ!  How do you handle the big and little problems of life?  What if you thought you might crash or drown or be killed, how would you react?  A lot of people panic just as the disciples did in the storm.  The disciples shouted out to the Lord, because they were afraid they were going to drown.  It is natural to worry when you are in a storm, but the question Jesus wants to ask you is, WHERE IS YOUR FAITH!

When confronted with an emergency or problem, as believer's we should always ask this one question; what do I have to fear if I have the Lord Jesus Christ in my life?  If my faith and confidence is resolute,  the Lord is with me, always, even unto the end of time?  If you place your faith and trust in the Lord you can know for sure that He never fails.  Death where is thy victory, grave where is thy sting?  Your trust in Jesus Christ must remain unquestionable. When you have the Saviour you have someone who will rescue you no matter what the problem or what the emergency.  The only question we have to ask ourselves is, WHERE IS YOUR FAITH?

No matter what the occasion in your life, Jesus is always there with you.  He never leaves us and He never fails.  So no matter the problem or emergency, stop and remember who is in control of the Universe, let alone your life.  If you lose a job, or a loved one, or become ill just remember to keep your faith in the Lord.  He never sleeps and He never loses control.  Try not to focus on the here and now, but always remember your eternal destination and its perfection!

Remember we are just passing through this world and our home is in Heaven.  Depend on the promises of God.  So the next time you worry or panic or lose control, try to hear the Lord asking you, WHERE IS YOUR FAITH?

BE PREPARED!

2 TIMOTHY 4:  2

"Preach the Word of God.  BE PREPARED, whether the time is favorable or not.

Patiently correct, rebuke and encourage people with good teaching."

Many of us are familiar with the Boy Scout motto, "BE PREPARED".  Now we know where they learned the phrase.  This One Truth Today, like all truths has its origin from the Word of God!

The message was meant for preachers, teachers and leaders of men and women.  As believer's we need to be prepared to preach the Word of God whether the time or place is favorable or not.  It is our job to rebuke and also encourage people, based on the Word and its good teachings!  There is a time coming, and some would even argue here,  when people will no longer listen to the sound and wholesome teaching of the Lord.  People will follow their own selfish desires and look for those who agree as they reject the Word of God and its truth!  That time is all ready here for many.

A preacher is someone who proclaims publicly the Word of God.  They have learned and digested the truth of the Lord and can give a sermon on His messages.  They are advocates of the Gospel of Jesus Christ the Lord God.  This includes pastors, Sunday school teachers, or for that matter anyone who proclaims the Gospel anywhere and at any time.  If you are a true believer you too will be called upon to preach the Word of God.  Are you prepared?  The time or place may not be right but it will be your obligation to advance the Word of the Lord so that others can be Saved.  There is a sense of urgency for each of us to know and love the Lord and His word and Gospel.  Then when the opportunity arises you too can rebuke, encourage and teach the people you love with good teaching!

The Lord is not going to ask you if it is convenient or timely, only that you BE PREPARED.  We have a duty to direct people to the right path and the knowledge of God.  If there is something wrong in their lives that is going to lead them to death and damnation, it is up to rebuke as well as teach and encourage them about the Word of God.  Remember where you came from and how you were Saved.  Faith came from hearing the Word of God.  Just as the Lord was inexhaustible and patient with us, we need to emulate Him in our preaching.  We are armed with the Truth and we are proclaiming the right path.  We need to be bold and persistent in our teaching and preaching.  Most of all we need to, BE PREPARED!

INSPIRED BY GOD!

2 TIMOTHY 3:  16

"All scripture is INSPIRED BY GOD, and is useful to teach us what is true.  It makes us realize what is wrong in our lives.  It corrects us and teaches us to do what is right."

All is such a tiny word and yet it is so powerful!  All can never be confused with part, or some, or a little.  When the One Truth Today states that "ALL" scripture is inspired by God it is complete and definitive.  Just as you can not just accept seven out of the ten commandments to believe or implement, you can not accept parts or some or a little of the old or new testament.  It may be convenient for some to avoid portions of the Word if they interfere with their actions or belief's, but they would still be a sinner or an abomination in the sight of God.  Just because you eliminate some of the Word or scripture from your bible does not make the actions any different.  Sin is sin and immoral is immoral.  If you want the truth, "ALL' the Word teaches us to do what is right and to realize what is wrong.   

Anyone who accepts only part of the bible is getting only part of the truth.  ALL scripture is inspired by God.  That means that He wrote it ALL through the hearts, hands, and minds of others but it is His Word.  The Lord has given us a manual to use for our lives.  The Word is to teach us right from wrong.  All the Word is to make us aware of the expectations of the Lord. When used properly it is meant to teach what is the right thing to do in every circumstance.  If something is going wrong in your life, check the manual.  All the Word is right and never wrong.  The Word is faithful and true and never changes.  There is no recall of Truth.  Now that is really Inspirational!

Every scripture in the Word was breathed by God and given through His inspiration.  It was and is meant to be used for instruction and inspiration.  If you know the Word of God you will be reproved of your sin and be shown what you are doing wrong.  If you are sinning and separating yourself from God you will suffer and you could die eternally.  This allows us to know and realize that we are missing the mark and need someone to save us from our sin.  By correcting your life and doing what is right instead of what is wrong you can be encouraged to accept the Lord into your heart and life and to give yourself over to Him.  If you want to conform to God's will for your life then you need to know "ALL" of His Word.  Put the Lord's Word into action in your life, IT IS INSPIRATIONAL! 

YOUR TRUST SHOULD BE IN GOD!

1 TIMOTHY 6:  17

"Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money.  Riches are unreliable.  YOUR TRUST SHOULD BE IN GOD, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment."

Where do you place your trust?  If you are rich, do you trust your money or wealth to protect and save you?  Are you proud of the wealth and riches you have obtained?  Then you need to learn the One Truth Today.  Your riches, like your money is unreliable and can have wings like an eagle and fly away from you.  How often the proud have fallen just as pride falls before the man.  Even if God has given you all that you could ever need or desire, you need to remember who it all belongs to.  We are not suggesting that you not enjoy the gifts of God, just remember to thank Him for all that He has given for your enjoyment.  You brought nothing into this world and you will take nothing when you leave, and everything you have may be taken away in an instant!  YOUR TRUST SHOULD BE IN GOD!

The rich of this world need to be warned not to be arrogant, contemptuous, or proud because of their money or wealth.  The blessings of God are just that, and not a result of your intelligence or actions.  It is vital that you do not put your hope in your money.  YOUR TRUST SHOULD BE IN GOD.  God supplies us with everything that we need both for living and for enjoyment.  How could you look down on those who have less than you when you could join them in an instant! Think of all the wall street moguls sitting in jail right now!  Think of the stars and leaders that have fallen in an instant and lost everything they had, even their lives.  

The best conclusion that you can draw from this Truth for Today is that you can not trust in riches or money even when you have them in abundance.  The most important conclusion you can draw from Timothy and this Word is, YOUR TRUST SHOULD BE IN GOD!  God and His Word never change.  He alone can save you and give you eternal life.  Money can not!  You can not buy a ticket to heaven.  Anyone can receive the gift of eternal life and their wealth is not the issue.  If you are enjoying the gifts of God be sure and share them with others.  Do good works for the Lord.  Be liberal and generous with your possessions.  Do not trust in your riches! 

AT JUST THE RIGHT TIME!

1 TIMOTHY 6: 15

"AT JUST THE RIGHT TIME Jesus Christ will be revealed from heaven by the blessed and all might God, The King of all kings and the Lord of all Lords."

Jesus is coming soon!  How long have men heard about this?  When is the right time for the Lord Jesus Christ to appear?  Believers have been anticipating the second coming of Jesus Christ for two thousand years now.  Many believer's alive at the time of the death of Jesus Christ thought He would return in their lifetime.  Every generation since that time have prayed for Jesus Christ to be revealed from heaven and our prayer today is Maranatha.  We are waiting with anticipation and expectation for the Lord to return at any moment, in the twinkling of an eye.  The state of the world being what it is, it seems reasonable for this time to be the right time for His return.

The main point to remember and consider is that when Jesus Christ is revealed from Heaven and returns to the earth, He will be bringing judgement day with Him.  When that time occurs anyone who is not a believer, and a child of God, will be lost for eternity.  There is a heavy price to those who choose to reject God, and it is the Lord's heart and will that not a single soul should be lost.  The only reason the Lord tarries is to allow an opportunity for all men to be saved.  Surely you know someone that you love and care about that will be lost and suffer eternal damnation!  Unless they accept the Salvation of Jesus Christ they will be separated from us eternally.  If you care about them then you will rejoice that the Lord has tarried and is withholding judgement for a time.  

We know that the world will come to an end and the Lord will return with all of His Saints who have gone before us.  He will take us with Him as we rise to join them at His return.  When will that time be?  No one knows the hour or the day, but one thing is certain it will be AT JUST THE RIGHT TIME!  Judgement day is coming and so is the Christ.  He will be revealed by All Mighty God and He will be the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.  He will bring judgement with Him for everyone past and present.  We do not have the mind of God and we will never know when He will be revealed.  That does not stop us from crying out to the Lord for His return.  Maranatha, come quickly Lord Jesus!

  

DO NOT GIVE IN!

PROVERBS 25: 26

"If the Godly give in to the wicked, it is like polluting a fountain or muddying a spring."

We have as our family motto, "Never Give Up"!  It is the equivalent of the message in the One Truth Today.  Never give in!   If you are a believer in God you must never give in to the wicked!

We should never get our water from a muddy spring and of what value is a fountain that is polluted?  We want clear, pure, healthy waters and you need to avoid wickedness to avoid pollution.  What happens to our purity of water or spirit if we give in to the evil one and sin? We must not allow contamination to occur and even though there may be tremendous efforts to muddy up our fountain and spring we have to resist it to the very end!  The contamination comes from the wicked and ungodly in an attempt to destroy our beauty and purity, DO NOT GIVE IN!

We must avoid compromising our integrity as a result of the wicked.  We must remain strong and resolute when it comes to their attempts to lead us into their sin.  If they want to live in a polluted and impure environment then let them.  An example of this type of pollution is when you allow your children to see television with vulgar language or inappropriate sexual content.  The wicked want to introduce one swear word after another until it becomes common place.  Many will try to exploit their inappropriate and abominable deviant behavior until the Godly become inundated with their pollution.  We must avoid pornography and crude language and behavior if it means boycotting entire networks, magazines or other forms of communication. 

For us there is no alternative life style to that of the Godly!  DO NOT GIVE IN!

If you allow a camel to stick his nose in the tent, then be prepared for the entire animal to sit and sleep with you.  If you allow a little contamination in your life, and then add a little more and a little more, your purity will be entirely polluted and destroyed.  A little dirt eventually leads to a mud bath of pollution.  The motto of the wicked is "anything goes".  As the Godly of this world we are to be the salt and the light others.  Are you doing your part?  Do you boycott filth and sinfulness.  Do you complain to those in authority when you see the wicked at work? God informs us in this scripture one thing not to do.  Our motto is DO NOT GIVE IN! 

FOR THE LOVE OF MONEY!

1 TIMOTHY 6: 10

"FOR THE LOVE OF MONEY is the root of all kinds of evil.  Some people craving money have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows."

Please take note of the One Truth Today, money is not the root of all evil!  This is a false statement that has been perpetuated forever.  What is the difference between our scripture and popular belief?  FOR THE LOVE OF MONEY, is the root of all kinds of evil; is differentiated by the fact that it is the Love of money or covetousness that leads to all kinds of evil!  Are you one of those that believes that if a person has money they are by definition evil?  It is not without some merit in that a lot of people craving money have wandered from the truth and pierced themselves with many sorrows.  The Word of God confirms what covetousness can do to anyone.  That is not acceptable to God.  The "Love of Money" is just another god or idol and can be used to replace the One True God.  The Lord God will have no other gods before Him and so the end is predictable to anyone who loves money more than God.  Because some have money does not mean that they do not Love Fear and Know God.  

Greed, avarice and covetousness are all the wrong paths to peace and righteousness and to God.

If you take that path, you will fall into ALL KINDS OF EVIL.  What is the source of and basis for evil?  The devil and his minions would like to take you away from the path to God and get you to take the path that leads to sin and death.  Yes the devil can use money  as a tool to perpetuate his evil ways.  Money in and of itself has no conscience or morality, it is only the one that has the money who can be lead astray or lead to be used by God.  If you are at peace with God then He will be your Shepard and you will have all that you need.  In that God is the source of all things He will bless His children with many gifts.  You do not need money, but you do need God.  Many who have been blessed by God only use money as a tool for His service

Substituting the love of money for the Love of God will lead to many problems in your life.  If you crave money then you have wandered from the Word of God and the true faith.  The choice leads to predictable consequences, you will be pierced with all kinds of sorrows and your money will not be able to help you.  You can not purchase your salvation and there is nothing you can give to God to Save you from death.  Listen to the One Truth Today and make sure that you are not covetous.  Do not envy others and what they possess.  There will always be someone that has more than you.  You can not serve God and money at the same time and so you have to make the choice.  Do not lose your eternal salvation FOR THE LOVE OF MONEY!

FLESH AND BLOOD

HEBREWS 2: 14

"Because God's children are human beings made of flesh and blood, the Son also became FLESH AND BLOOD.  For only as a human being could He die, and by dying could He break the power of the devil, who had the power of death."

If you are looking for something to thank God for, digest this One Truth Today.  This scripture is an example of how God loves us.  The omnipotent God who made everything and was from the beginning, became FLESH AND BLOOD and dwelt among us.  Jesus Christ the Lord God became a human being with all the frailties of man, including eventual death.  God gave up His deity to save man from the devil and death.  As a man it is difficult to believe that God loved us so much that He became one of us and suffered pain, separation and dying.  The truth is that this was the plan of God from the beginning, to save repentant sinners and give them eternal life.  THANK YOU LORD!

Because God's children are human beings made of FLESH AND BLOOD, He sent his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, in the flesh, to save us.  If you have wondered why the the Lord had to be flesh and blood, and not just spirit, His dying to the flesh was the only way to break the power of the devil over death.   There is and was no other way that we could be saved.  His perfect plan was placed in motion to bring those who believe in Jesus Christ, salvation and eternal life in heaven with the Lord.  On thanksgiving day if you are looking for something to be thankful for, this should be your number one.  Jesus Saves.  God loved us even when we were sinners.  THANK YOU LORD!

The Lord set us free, along with all those who have passed before us, if we opened the door to our hearts and invited Him to come in and dwell with us.  Prior to Jesus Christ the Lord God, we were all slaves to sin and death.  Now we can become children of God.  We can spend eternity and be saved, all because of the birth, life, death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Death where is thy sting, grave where is thy victory?  Just as Jesus Christ rose from the dead we will also, with a new spiritual life and a new spiritual body.  So even though we are here on earth in flesh and blood, for a while, in the end we will join with the Lord in Heaven and there we will be always.  That is something that all believer's should be eternally grateful for!  THANK YOU LORD!

MYSTERY REVEALED!

1 TIMOTHY 3: 16

"Jesus Christ was REVEALED in a human body and vindicated by the Holy Spirit.  Jesus was seen by angels and announced to the nations.  Jesus Christ is believed in throughout the world and was taken to heaven in glory."

What is the greatest mystery of our Christian faith?  How was that MYSTERY REVEALED? What is the hardest thing for non believer's to accept about God?  It is difficult to imagine how we could ever have come to know God without the birth of Jesus Christ.  We would still be wondering about His existence and nature and there would be no answers.  Without Jesus Christ being revealed to us in a human body and vindicated by the Holy Spirit, the nations would not have had the announcement of His birth, and we would have no record of His life, death and being taken to heaven in Glory!  Now we have the answer to the mystery of God and His plan.  It is impossible to know God without the revelation of Jesus Christ.  

The Truth was hidden from the world until the birth of Jesus Christ.  God in the flesh.  The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.  The once mysterious plan of God was known from the beginning but withheld from the world until Jesus Christ was revealed and made visible in human flesh.  He is justified and vindicated by the Holy Spirit.  He was seen by the angels and announced to the world by them.  Man used his five senses to know the Lord God.  He was believed and what He preached was recorded and given to man for a manual to use for life. After the Lord suffered death on the cross for our sins, He was taken up into heaven to lead us into eternal life and glory.  God was and is no longer a mystery to those that know Him!

Because Jesus Christ was born in human flesh we could see Him, touch Him, hear Him and use all of our senses to come to know and understand Him.  Now we were able to have a record of His birth, life, death and resurrection.  Now we know the nature and purpose of Jesus Christ and thus the Lord God!  God and His plan for man are no longer a mystery, unless you reject the Lord and His Word.  Jesus Christ was the confirmation of the covenants of God.  MYSTERY REVEALED,  in a tangible and real way,  that was the plan of God to save man.  Has the mystery of God been revealed to you personally?  Pray that the mystery be revealed to you! 

FOLLOW ME!

LUKE 9: 23

"If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross daily, and FOLLOW ME!

When you invite Jesus Christ into your heart and surrender to Him, what does the Lord expect from you?  When you are filled with the Holy Spirit what can we expect from your new heart and your new life?  Because of your love for Jesus Christ will you hear Him say, come, FOLLOW ME!  This applies to all believer's and those who profess to love the Lord.  The One Truth Today tells us that if any of us want to be a follower of Jesus Christ, we must turn from our selfish ways and take up His Cross daily.  We should repent of our prior lives, and stop sinning.  We have to turn around from the path we were on and walk with the Lord and follow His ways.  If  you had been habitually committing the sin of drunkenness or sexual immorality or any other sin, the Lord expects you to stop right now and turn away from such behavior.  It is selfish for anyone to keep on committing habitual sin in their future, and it is evidence that you are not "following" the Lord!

Just as Jesus Christ had to take up His Cross and suffer, you are expected to do the same thing and on a daily basis.  Every day you are expected to be more and more like the Lord.  If you are following in the footsteps of Jesus then you will be giving up yourself to become more like Him.  Jesus laid down His life for us, and He expects us to lay down our lives for others and be willing to make sacrifices to save others and bring them the "Good News".  When the Lord asks you to FOLLOW ME, are you listening and complying.  Are you willing to give yourself up in order for Him to increase.  There needs to be less of ourselves and more of Him every day!

Jesus told us that if you want to come after me, deny yourself and lose sight of your own interests.  Give of yourself, take up your cross and follow me.  The Lord wants us all to be more like Him.  He wants us to hold steadfastly and conform to His example.  This is true of our living and even more so in our dying.  We are to disown ourselves and lose sight of ourselves. We are to keep our eyes on Him.  Now let us ask ourselves this question, am I acting in a way today that clearly indicates that I am a follower of Jesus Christ?  Do you deny yourself, avoid being selfish and take up your cross every day?  Do you do this without hesitation or question? Can you hear the Lord clearly telling you, FOLLOW ME?

KNOW WHEN TO QUIT!

PROVERBS 23: 4-5

"Do not wear yourself out trying to be rich.  Be wise enough to KNOW WHEN TO QUIT.  In the blink of an eye wealth disappears, for it will sprout wings and fly away like an eagle."

Is it your desire to be rich?  How much money would be enough for you?  What price are you willing to pay to achieve wealth and riches?  Will you sacrifice your physical or mental health to become rich?  Will you violate man and God's laws to achieve riches?  If you lose your social and spiritual life is it worth the price?  Assuming that you become rich how much time will it take out of your life to keep it?  Will your desire to be rich wear you out and lead to covetousness and greed? The One Truth Today is that we need to KNOW WHEN TO QUIT!

We spend such a short time here on earth, in comparison to our eternal life.  Do you think it is a wise use of your time to labor for riches?  After all, you came into this life with nothing and that is exactly what you will take with you when you go, nothing!  Any riches that you accumulate will be given to others or be taken away by the state.  Knowing that is the truth, what is the relevance of becoming rich?  You could wear yourself out and consume your entire time here on earth in something that has no eternal value.  Like ourselves wealth is here today and gone tomorrow.  KNOW WHEN TO QUIT!

In the effort to become rich you may hurt yourself and others.  The fact is that the Lord gives His gifts to His children and we must be wise enough to understand where everything comes from.  We also need to understand when enough is enough.  The typical miser is covetous and greedy and at the expense of his riches he loses his life.  It takes wisdom, and the knowledge that we get from the Word of God to understand that all wealth pales in comparison to the gifts of God.  You could say that you will reap what you sew.  You could also say that is more blessed to give than to receive in this lifetime.  True peace and happiness comes with the contentment of the gifts from God.  When your wealth disappears, in the twinkling of an eye, remember that the gifts from God are eternal.  If you are trying to become rich, KNOW WHEN TO QUIT!
