Man is born in sin. It is our natural instinct to commit sins and to lie. You can see it in a little child that smiles and tells you a lie. You can see it in those that try to hide their true persona behind a fake smile and demeanor. Perhaps it is most apparent when those who profess to know and love the Lord Jesus Christ commit egregious acts against man, society and God. An example would be the pastor that runs off with the church secretary and commits adultery. It would be a religious wife who carries on an affair while being a peer in the church. It is the silent alcoholic, drug user or pornography addict that claims to Love the Lord. You are LYING if you say you have fellowship with God and go on living in spiritual darkness.
When we open the door to our heart and ask Jesus Christ to come in and dwell with us, we become a new creature with a new and eternal life. Old things pass away and all our previous sins are forgiven and forgotten. We put away the natural man and become a new spiritual child of God. Then the closer we get to Him the more we become like Jesus. Once you have tasted the sweetness of the Lord it should be impossible to return to your old sinful nature. That is what the One Truth Today is all about. Are you practicing the Truth? Do you have a spiritual fellowship with God or are you still living in spiritual darkness and sin? Are you LYING?
If you continue to commit habitual sins against God then you may question if you ever came to the Lord or have been Saved. If you are still an adulterer, alcoholic, drug addict or liar you need to stop and reflect on your Salvation. If you do not put God first in your life and everything that you do then you have a question to answer. Do you honor your parents? Are you stealing, or committing crimes against man and God, then you are LYING to the Lord!
In short are you practicing Truth and living in spiritual righteousness and light? When you sin, do you repent and confess them to the Lord? If you say you have fellowship with God then you do. If you continue in spiritual darkness then you are LYING!
