Who told the first lie in the Bible? Who is the father of all lies? Is the devil still telling lies to you today? Another name for the devil is the "great deceiver". Is the world still full of deception and lies even today? The One Truth Today is to remind us all that nothing has changed since man and woman first appeared on the earth! What exactly was the first lie of the devil? God had told Adam and Eve that if they ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they would surely die!
The crafty old devil and clever deceiver twisted the Word of God and lied to Eve. He wants to make us question the Lord and His Word. He will twist the true meaning of the Bible. That is why it is so important for each of us to know the Word of God, to prevent our eternal death and joining the devil in Hell!
Satan always tries to question God's authority and what was truly said. He takes every opportunity to deceive and trick those who are not well versed in the Truth. The devil will question God's Word in your life. Satan expects you to believe his lies just as Eve did. The lie is the same today as it was then, "surely you wont die"! God says if you eat of this tree you will surely die. Satan questions God and asks the woman, did God really say that? Then the trick and deception, when the devil says; "you wont die". LIAR, LIAR. Death was brought into the world as a result of man and woman's acceptance of the devils lie! The same is true of your own life. If you accept the devil and his lies, you will die. You will surely die!
The truth is that unless you embrace and accept the Word of God and accept the Lord Jesus Christ into your heart you will die! You have free will and the free choice to accept or reject the Lord and His Word. You alone are responsible for your choice. Whether you choose to accept the Lord or not will make the difference between eternal life in Heaven with the Lord, or eternal damnation in Hell with the devil. Satan wants you to question this. The devil will tell you that "surely God wont let you die". So many have been deceived and tricked by the devil and only the wisdom that comes from the fear, knowledge and love of God can overcome those lies. Satan is a LIAR! Who do you believe, God or the devil? Who alone can give you new and eternal life. Who will lead you in a way that may seem right, but leads to death and Hell? Do not believe the serpent, remember he is a LAIR, LIAR!
