ROMANS 2:13
"For merely listening to the law does not make us right with God. It is OBEYING THE LAW that makes us right in God's sight!
Be honest, do you always obey the law? What if everyone who felt like it, saw the stop signs in the road but did not stop at them. Chaos and accidents would be abundant. What if no one obeyed the speed laws and determined what the correct speed was for themselves? Chaos and many accidents would occur. What if instead of a fixed and known law, people could decide for themselves who to murder? I guess the fanatics of the world have answered that question. The point is that merely listening and knowing about the laws of man or God is not going to make us right in our actions or in His sight.
OBEY THE LAW, that is what makes us right with man and God! It is not when we hear or read about the law that we become righteous. It is when we obey the laws that we will be held guiltless and be acquitted and justified before man and God. We must be doers of the Word and Law, instead of just listeners or hearers. We will be judged and condemned by the Law and it will be whether we obey the laws that determines the outcome.
All have sinned, or broken the Laws of God and man. That is why it is important to know about the Good News of Jesus Christ. God's laws are written in every mans heart. That is the conscience that tells us right from wrong. Your conscience bears witness to your moral decisions and that little voice needs to be listened to. Many have learned to silence that conscience and they commit whatever acts they can think of. We dishonor God when we sin and the only way to be saved is to repent of our sins and ask the forgiveness of God. God will help us OBEY THE LAW.
