"WHAT DOES THE LORD REQUIRE OF YOU? He requires only that you Fear the Lord your God, and live in a way that pleases Him, that you love and serve Him with all your heart and soul, and that you always obey the Lord's commandments and decrees."
I can hear someone saying right now, is that all? If we had to do this on our own, without the help of the Holy Spirit and the Lord, it would be impossible. If you have not opened the door to your heart and invited the Lord to come in and dwell with you, it will never happen. Have you accepted the free gift of Salvation from the Lord Jesus Christ? Have you repented of your sins and received the Mercy and Grace of God? Have you been "born again" as a new creation in Christ Jesus, with a new heart and a new life? If you can answer yes, then you can ask the next logical question, WHAT DOES THE LORD REQUIRE OF YOU?
In the time you have left here on earth, what is it that Jesus expects from you? Our One Truth Today has the answer for you. Remember the beginning of wisdom is the fear of God and the Lord wants you to have a reverential fear and knowledge of Him. This is the first requirement to pleasing God. The Lord expects us to live in a way that pleases Him. Remember that you can not mock God and He knows everything about you. Is your path directed toward righteousness? Do you love and serve the Lord with your whole heart, mind, body and soul?
Because of your Salvation and new life, do you always obey the Lord's Commandments and decrees?
Because we love the Lord and His Word, we must become doers of the Word and not just hearer's. God's instruction is given for our own good, here on earth, and for eternity in heaven.
If we fail to keep His commandments and decree's we will suffer here on earth and not obtain the peace that passes understanding. If we never accept the Lord into our heart and believe in Him we will be separated forever from God. If you have an ear, listen and hear the Word of the Lord. Now that you are a believer, put into action all of the Word of God. This is how you can prove to God and yourself that you are His Child. If you Know, Love and Fear God then you know WHAT THE LORD REQUIRES OF YOU!
