The authors may have held the pen, but God breathed the Truth into each one and they became His instruments. Without the scriptures how could any believer be complete or proficient in doing God's work here on earth? All believer's have found inspiration and life changing correction from reading and learning the Word of God. Some only read the read letter portions of the scripture, some prefer the Old Testament to the New Testament, some just choose their favorite scriptures but the Lord has a message for you. You should not pick and choose, instead learn the entire message of God. If you abandon a part of God's message then you do so at your own loss and peril. Do you read the Bible on a regular basis? Have you read from Genesis to Revelation? Do you try to do this once a year as a way of getting your Daily Bread?
