You will need to give thanks to the Lord for all He has done for you and all He has given you! Do you belong to Jesus Christ? Then do His will!
Each of us should be happy and joyful in our faith. Do not forget that we were all lost in our sin until Jesus Christ Saved us and gave us eternal life. As a child of God we are not of this world but we are just passing through and we are to spend eternity in Heaven with the Lord. What joy we should experience. This is the gift that keeps on giving forever. Knowing all this we should never stop praying to our Lord about everything and anything. He wants us to go to Him first in all things. We must be thankful for our Salvation and eternal life and we must be thankful in each and every circumstance that we find ourselves in at the moment. In bad times it is useful to remember that the Good Times are coming and they are eternal. It is easy to do if you realize that THIS IS GOD'S WILL FOR YOU!
It may seem difficult to be thankful at a time of death or illness in your family. When a calamity strikes we must never lose sight of the eternal perspective and the fact that all of our troubles are merely a moment in time. Imagine the eternal aspect of your Saved Soul, there will be no death, no illness, no weeping and no wailing. The Lord has a perfect plan for your life and you may not understand it at a given moment but all your questions will be answered when you take up your mansion in Heaven and there you will be with the Lord always! God will reveal all to you at that time. You will look back at your earthly experience as a moment in time and you will understand all that occurred in your life.
