Do you believe that you can go throughout your whole life without breaking a law? You will break man's law as well as God's law, and if you were counting on obtaining eternal life because you have been without sin, guess again. Remember, no one is good, no not one. The only exception to this was Jesus Christ. He was without sin and never broke any law. So every person who has lived has come short of the glory of God. That is why Jesus questioned those who called Him good, for He knew that meant that He was the Lord God. Do you think that you can be as good as the Lord? Do you think that you can have life by obeying the Law?
It should be absolutely clear that no human being can gain eternal life by being good. If we can not obtain eternal life by being good then how do we obtain Life and that eternal? The One Truth Today is that it is through FAITH, that a righteous person obtains LIFE. The only way to overcome the curse of sin is to be saved by the Lord Jesus Christ. He was perfect and died for our sins and He give us His Righteousness, if we have faith and believe in Him. That is the "Good News", that Jesus Saves. We can not save ourselves and no one else can save us but the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord is our Salvation. Our Faith in the Lord is what gives us Life!
If you want to be in right standing with the Lord and be considered just and righteous then you will have to live by faith. You will be declared righteous by your faith in Jesus Christ. The Lord will give you eternal life. The way this happens is that Jesus took our curse and our sin upon himself and give His life to give us eternal life. The Lord shed His blood for us, while we were still sinners. Have you opened the door to your heart and invited Jesus Christ to come in and fill you with His Holy Spirit? Do you believe in Jesus Christ? Do you have FAITH? Then and only then will you have life and that eternal!
