"Be sure of this, I am with you always, even to the end of the age!"
Have you ever felt all alone? Have there been times in you life when you felt distanced from your family or spouse? Have you ever lost a close personal friend? When you go through these difficult times and the pressures of this world seem to be crashing down on you, is there always someone you can depend on? If you have lost your parents, where do you go for comfort? Does this loss create a lot of fear and anxiety on your part? Then thank and praise the Lord, for as believer's we are never alone. The Lord promises, I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS, EVEN TO THE END OF THE AGE!
In this scripture and the truth for today, Jesus was teaching His disciples an important fact. He wanted them to be sure that wherever they were and what ever they were doing the Lord never left there side. The Lord is right there with us and He will never leave us throughout all eternity. So even if you lose a parent or a child or a spouse or friend, you will never be without the Holy Spirit of God and the Lord will be with you until the end of time. Since Jesus has no ending, He will be with you always!
What comfort and security we have when we come to a knowledge of this truth. You can feel your fears and anxieties melting away. This assurance of the love of God is never ending and a promise that will be kept. We do not have to feel as though we are alone and on our own. We have one relationship that will never end. Our promise from Jesus is that our relationship with Him is not subject to the frailties of this world or this life. Be sure of this, Jesus said, I will be with you always, even to the end of this age. YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
