PROVERBS 23:4-5
"Do not wear yourself out trying to be rich. Be wise enough to KNOW WHEN TO QUIT. In the blink of an eye wealth disappears, for it will sprout wings and fly away like an eagle."
Is it your desire to be rich? How much money would be enough for you? what price are you willing to pay to achieve wealth and riches? If trying affects your physical or mental well being, your sexual or social life or your spiritual health are you still going to desire riches? Once you are rich how are you going to keep it? Will you desire turn into covetousness and then greed?
We spend such a short time here on earth, do you think it is wise to spend it laboring for riches? You came into this life with nothing and you will leave with nothing, that means that any riches you accumulate will go to others. That being true what is the relevance of trying to become rich at all?
You can wear yourself out trying to become rich and hurt yourself and others. Although the Lord gives gifts to His children you have to be wise enough to know when enough is enough and to quiet trying to be rich. It takes a wise person to know when that time comes. Even though we reap what we sew and giving is more blessed than receiving, there is a time to stop. Your wealth can disappear in the twinkling of an eye and fly away with wings like an eagle. DO YOU KNOW WHEN TO QUIT trying to be rich?
