1 TIMOTHY 1:5
"All believer's should be filled with love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and a genuine faith."
What is the object and purpose of instruction in the Lord's Word? What do we as believer's hope to attain in accepting Jesus Christ into our lives? The correct answer is that we are to be filled with love. We are to obtain a pure heart, a clear conscience and a genuine faith in God that is clearly demonstrated by our love for one another.
We are to avoid that which will not help us live a life of faith in God. We are to stop listening to anyone who teaches what is contrary to the Lord's truth. We are to avoid endless discussions about myths and spiritual pedigrees. Do not give importance to endless genealogies, fables, or mere speculations which teach other different doctrines. Many have missed the mark and wandered into vain discussions and arguments and purposeless talk. If you are confronted by someone who is not filled with love, but is argumentative and teaching false doctrine, walk away!
The purpose of Godly instruction and its object is that you are filled with the Love of God and become Christ like. You must project unconditional love to everyone. Believer's are filled with a love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience and a genuine faith. If your church is leading you there, then thank the Lord. If your church is not leading you there, then walk away!
